Vetiver Mystique

Vetiver explosion! I actually get a healthy hit of eucalyptus alongside the big vetiver note, with bergamot playing an accompanying role in the open. Ginger comes onto the scene for me between the open and heart, but then the heart manages to get even greener with assorted evergreens, roses, and a very distinct plant that is driving me crazy for not being able to specifically call out -- it is wonderful; I just can't pin it down. I don't think it's the rosewood, maybe the marjoram? It's almost like some sort of lemongrass in my mind. The ginger again comes back to me acting as an olfactory bridge guiding me into the base where deeper woods smooth everything out (cedar baby!). It reminds me a lot of King's Empire at the finish in terms of the big cedar push, which is good because I loved that one too.

Vetiver Mystique is an exceptional fragrance for those who appreciate the essence of vetiver. The moment one sprays it on, it delivers a bold and unapologetic vetiver note, that comes off very natural. It comes off as something from the 80s, and it’s very, very green. Upon initial application, the fragrance opens with a burst of citrus, complemented by the earthy notes of vetiver. The scent profile is remarkably well-balanced and exceptionally well-blended. As the fragrance dries down, it develops a greener character, with supporting green notes such as fir and pine. A hint of lavender and eucalyptus adds a touch of freshness, evoking a sense of vitality and giving the fragrance a distinctly fougere-like quality. A woody undertone emerges from the cedar and sandalwood, contributing to the overall well-roundedness of the fragrance. As I mentioned, the fragrance comes off very natural, and surprisingly, it lasts for an entire workday, despite being natural, while having moderate projection. My personal experience pertains to a bottle bearing the batch number B:2501. This scent profile is quite mature and would likely appeal to individuals aged 25 and above who appreciate the note of vetiver. In my opinion, it is very masculine, and I don’t see women using this. Additionally, I believe this fragrance would be more appropriate for daytime use, particularly during warmer months.
