Citrus & Yuzu

Citrus & Yuzu is a fairly straightforward fragrance that does it says in its name - It’s a fragrance focused on the notes of various citruses. The highlight of the fragrance is undoubtedly the opening, which is a medley of yuzu, grapefruit and lime. The Grapefruit and yuzu are absolutely a delightful combination of citruses for anyone who likes photorealistic representation of citruses in fragrances. It smells very natural. However, once it dries down, the fragrance just doesn’t work for me. White the overall composition remains quite similar, it is supported by incense and something woody, which is what I assume to be sandalwood, but it doesn’t particularly standout as sandalwood to me. This is how the fragrance stays for the remainder of its life, and unfortunately, this is where the fragrance falls apart for me. It comes off like some kind of a dishwasher soap. Another friend of mine said it smelt like sweat/armpit, which is something some people pick up from grapefruit based fragrance. Suffice it to say, this is not a safe blind buy. Performance is another let down. When you first spray it on, it has moderate projection for about 30 minutes, beyond which it becomes a skin scent, and I really have to dig my note at the spot where I sprayed it to even notice it. This remains to be a skin scent beyond that, and it lasts for about 3 to 3.5 hours, at most. I’d say anyone at any age can pull this off and it’s best suited to the day time during warmer months, but if it doesn’t last, what’s the point? Maybe it doesn’t work on my skin, but again, this isn’t a fragrance one should blind buy. Try it before you decide to get a full bottle.
