Blu Profondo

Initially had this described as an f-boy fragrance. Got a sample and my first whiff just gave me the smell of a Hollister store, which frankly I found quite funny. Put some on just before bed to laugh about it again, and didn’t realise the emotional rollercoaster I was about to go down. The initial impression is still very Hollister-y, f-boy, axe body spray. Again, this smell is quite funny to me. But the dry down is unique to say the least. The fragrance remains quite aquatic throughout, with a strong bergamot at the start. I’m quite new to fragrances so unsure of what mineral would really smell like but I think I do get some of that at the start. Within 20 or so minutes, it begins smelling a lot more mellow, loses that sort of sparkly feel. To me, it begins to smell like a man. Like reuniting with a teenage lover.. his natural woody scent has matured. You stay up reminiscing as he sleeps next to you, for you know come morning you are about to begin mourning him again. Upon further dry down, I find myself even more emotional as you begin to look ahead, but the memory of him still lingers, following you like a trail. It’s almost impossible to pull away from, he always comes back. I believe this is the amber truly shining through. It is this experience that makes me want to stop everything and just lay thinking.. Never really had an experience like this with a fragrance before. A lot of it I can’t even describe you just have to try it to know. Perhaps this is just how it works for me on my skin. How overwhelming it is makes me want to restrain from buying a bigger bottle, but I shall cherish my sample.

In the opening this is more fresh and has some citrus, in the drydown this becomes very similar to megamere, but i would say a little les special and less animallic. this is also lighter than megamere but still is strong tho

Its okay but indeed same vibe as the aqua di gio's. Nice to have but lots of the same for less money.

This is just okay. I was hoping for a more powerful amber experience, but you really have to get close to pick up the amber. The minerality is nice, but, when combined with the bergamot, it reminds me of bug spray. There is a delightful and charming warm fruity accord that is nice. There is not a lot in the way of an aquatic/ozonic scent, at least that makes it through the other scents. I layered with Aqua di Scandola by Parfum d'Empire, and this finally got a bit refreshing. This is not blind buy safe.
