Oud Nights

To me, opening smells very similar to Tom Ford Ébène Fumé, although I would describe it as a softer, more tamed interpretation. Drydown smells like Légendes du Cèdre by L'Artisan Parfumeur. So, mix of EF and LDC. It is a full-bottle worthy, and I'm glad to have it in my collection.

Pesade – Oud Nights Rating: 6/10 (Interesting, but not my style) A Secret Sanctuary by the Castle Walls 🏛️🌿 Italy. An ancient castle. A small cypress square enclosed by high, grey stone blocks. Here, in this cypress "room" right by the walls, a shaded and calming chill prevails. Within this coldness, the next appearance belongs to a powdery note of dark chocolate. It is somewhere nearby—like a belief that the chill will not last forever, that something exists alongside it to nourish and soothe you. 🍫✨ And at the moment you start to believe that the cold does not want to leave you walled-in, motionless, and grey, you are overcome by the aroma of honeyed roses and raspberries. It makes you feel feminine and soft, yet at the same time—grounded and connected. 🌹🍯🍓 ✨ Fragrance Profile (full, from tester): • Top Notes: Grapefruit, Cypress, Artemisia • Middle Notes: Cumin, Nutmeg, Saffron, Rose, Raspberry • Base Notes: Oud, Leather, Amber, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood

This is pretty nice, the oud is pretty tame, and personally, I don't agree with the previous comment that it's in line with an oud rose saffron scent profile at all. I don't smell any rose whatsoever. The Grapefruit in this is nice, it's the more gentle type, not the sharp and sour kind of Grapefruit like in Michael Malul x Gents Scents Edgewater. I agree that it's similar to Mr. Sam, I would think that if you like that, then you would also like Oud Nights. Overall I think it's pretty good, it's pretty long lasting, not sure of the projection or sillage, but it feels moderate to strong. I'm not sure if it's bottle worthy yet, but it's definitely worth finding a sample or decant so you can wear it a bunch of times to decide if it's right for you.

Sample from ThePerfumeGuy on YT Updated notes: Grapefruit, Cumin, Cypress, Artemesia , Nutmeg, Saffron, Rose, Oud, Leather , Amber, Tonka, Sandalwood. I'm not super experienced with these oud rose saffron profiles but seems to be in line with others. Grapefruit comes through pretty strong and I don't get any sandalwood smoothness

This is in vain of Costume National Homme or L’Arc Argentium, but more importantly it’s very very close to notoriously hard to find Beloved Man from Amouage ( I have both and did several side by side comparisons ). Will update this after some testing , but first impressions are really good . PS. Yes it is from that mystery box.
