Figo da Turquia

I’m Brazilian and I’m crazy about this cologne - unfortunately, it was discontinued. I still have two flasks in their packaging and I can share here the real olfactory pyramid, described in the box: Top notes: bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit, fig leaf. Body notes: jasmine, lotus flower, lily-of-the-valley, cardamom. Base notes: musk, cedar, patchouli, vanilla, tonka bean (coumaru). I don't understand why they called it a cologne, because it lasts DAYS (I counted 3 days!), much longer than many famous and expensive parfums. It is very strong at the beginning, but after half an hour you end up with a delicious scent of figs, woods and patchouli. Some people say it’s sweet. In my opinion, it's just a little sweet and well shareable. The first time I used it I was scared, it was too strong. The second time, I decided to go out and noticed the wonderful evolution of the perfume. That same night, four friends came to praise the scent and a friend praised the duration of it. My boyfriend has always been in love with this cologne. - Eu sou brasileira e sou louca por essa colônia - infelizmente, descontinuada. Ainda tenho dois frascos em suas embalagens e posso compartilhar aqui a verdadeira pirâmide olfativa, descrita na caixa: Notas de topo: bergamota, tangerina, toranja, folha de figo. Notas de corpo: jasmim, flor de lótus, lírio-do-vale, cardamomo. Notas de fundo: almíscar, cedro, patchouli, baunilha, fava tonka (coumaru). Não entendo por que a chamaram de colônia, porque dura DIAS, muito mais do que muitos perfumes famosos e caros. É muito forte no começo, mas depois de meia hora você acaba com um delicioso perfume de figos, madeiras e patchouli. Algumas pessoas dizem que é doce. Na minha opinião, é apenas um pouco doce e bem compartilhável. A primeira vez que usei me assustei, achei forte. Da segunda vez, decidi sair com ela e reparei na maravilhosa evolução do perfume. Na mesma noite, três amigas e um amigo vieram elogiar o perfume e uma amiga elogiou a duração. Meu namorado morre de amores pelo perfume desde sempre.

I used again a little bit of my Figo da Turquia yesterday, just to remember how good it is. This cologne is legendary. When I found out that it had been discontinued I bought as many bottles as I could find. Now I have 3 bottles. Although it could be found in pharmacies and supermarkets at good prices, this cologne was extremely complex, the kind of scent that changes multiple times as the hours pass. It lasted more than 24 hours on my skin (a great feat, since my skin doesn't retain any perfume). On my scarf it lasted days without losing quality. I always thought there was a mistake when they defined Figo da Turquia as a “cologne”, having so many qualities that resembled an extract perfume. When I found out that it was discontinued, I was really furious, without understanding why to this day. I reached out to Phebo to complain. In time: Absolutely NOT EVEN CLOSE to Crazy Feelings from O Boticário! Crazy Feelings is an intense feminine floral fragrance , a mix of white flowers and spices. Figo da Turquia was precisely a shareable perfume, impossible to define whether it was feminine or masculine, and it was above all WOODY, with evident notes of fig and cardamom, although its complexity was built with touches of flowers, grapefruit, cedar, lots of patchouli and musk among others.

I got the cologne because everytime I use the scented hand lotion I can't stop smelling it. Slightly spicy when first applied, I can definitely pick up on the fig leaf, but it feels like it has melted into the scent's creamy/milky body. I can't feel a lot of sweetness here, so don't be put off by the vanilla if you aren't into sweet fragrances. It's a very unique albeit inexpensive fragrance and worth checking out if you are ever in Brazil.

This is a beautiful fig fragrance. I owned it years ago (the only time I was able to find it) maybe around 2015-2016. Scored a bottle for cheap and it lasted for years. Sweet, fruity, fresh, spicy, little green but very very very strong for a splash. That was one of the reasons I loved it. I had to leave that last bit I had left as I couldn’t travel with it. I wish they brought this back along with the Tuberose and Cedar and others...

This is heavenly and very inexpensive, a cologne that lasts over 7 hours with moderate sillage on my skin and over a day on clothes. Fig, fig and fig, earthy, greeny and sweety. Only drawback: it doesn't have a vaporisateur, you can't spray it.
