Olmsted & Vaux

This smells like morning dew and real citrus but in the woods. Every note in this smells real and fresh. In fact, this is the most high quality citrus I've ever smelled and it lasts the entire day. Longevity and performance gets an easy 10. The citrus stays around until the entire duration and never fades away. I've never had a citrus fragrance perform this well ever. Amazing and unique.

If you are wondering like I was, the name comes from the architects of Central Park in NY. Totally reminds me of a slightly drier DKNY Pure Verbena. Initial note is dry and alcoholic, but it quickly settles into sweet green woody musk. Nicely non-gender specific. Nothing to dislike. I would like more projection. I am getting none. All of this line's scents could be stronger, given their price: $85 for 30ml. The company thinks a sample would be enough for a week! Not for most perfumistas I know. The 3 samples cost $15 but you can then deduct the $15 from a bottle -- but you only have a month. They really should give you a year, since I overspend on fragrance and plan far in advance for what I am going to buy once I have some spare cash.

It's difficult to find fresh, bright, clean fragrances that don't tip into laundry detergent or soap territory, and I really appreciate that Olmsted & Vaux has managed that feat. It's the smell of "outside" without being outdoorsy. It's vaguely citrusy, very green, and a bit sweet - some jasmine or other white floral combination, maybe - and really just smells like being in some well-manicured outdoor space with lots of trees and scrupulously-maintained lawns. It does manage to match its public park inspiration, reminding me of Central Park or even the National Mall. Smelling it during the pandemic makes me nostalgic for those public places where people picnic and play frisbee during the summer. I really like this one.

This is my favorite from my sample pack and a instant love. I love it when a fragrance gives you a epiphany like experience and I was teleported to a grove of pine trees and cool wind. For me personally, this is what I expected Green Irish tweed to be for me and Phlur you should be proud of yourselves.This is a truly remarkable fragrance and one of the few fragrances where I said , I have to have this. I get a mature feeling from this 25 plus and for someone for likes Terre de hermes ea tres fraiche and Bvlgari Man in Black EDP. I get a hour of good projection and 4 hours longevity, so i wish it lasted longer and projected better.

Well composed and safe, but its actually unique! This is obviously their "business man in his 30s" scent but they added a sweetness that steers it away from being cold, making it wearable on a confident woman as well. It's really strong though, and wouldn't recommend this for situations where you're close to people all day, you may offend them. The dry down of the musk is just okay, if not boring. I won't repurchase but I like it for what it is: a strong fresh green fragrance that avoided common masculine cliches without becoming "avant-garde" (I'm looking at you byredo) and actually lasts a long time. Nice job.
