Vigil

Immediately warm, sunny citrus arises with apple and melon and hints of violet-tinged tea on the top notes. It is a subtle fragrance, without clinging to any gender, but with an aromatic storyline that begins with hope in a field of flowers next to an apple grove surrounded by a garden of cantaloupes, berries, buzzing bees, honey, and hidden truffles. Honeysuckle, honeycomb, and vanilla are in my nostrils as the notes taper and become even more subtle in the heart notes. It’s not a scent that lasts long, but hints remain in the base notes a few hours later, then it dissipates into a kind of fairytale. Where once there was a buzz of activity in the plants and insects, Vigil moves on to another world, leaving a river of calm memory.

I honestly don’t know what is going on with this fragrance. Hard to pin down any of the notes but fungi cheese cotton and chamomile are loud. Theres something honeyed going on with it but it isn’t exactly like honey. It’s an artistic vision, but one I don’t really get.
