This is a Lily Soliflore. And a very nice one at that. Sure, there's other stuff happening during the first 15 minutes, but once it settles its essence is a type of easter lily. It brings to mind Lys Mediterranee. Another perfume which to my nose is a lily soliflore, despite the ott marketing blurb. Why is a soliflore not good enough? On a side note, lilies do not grow anywhere near the beach. Like I said, a really nice lily perfume with good enough longevity (about 6 hours) and discreet sillage.

No, no, no ... absolutely not. I expected more coconut, a little more sweetness but here I got a very large nymph of flowers. It looks like the smell of a rusty but wet bar. YUK!

Cheap smelling beach. Cheap sunlotion. Kinda rubbery on the dry down. Oh boy. What a mess.

Another Pierre Guillaume which immediately serves me window cleaning chemicals. It's like a bad version of Lys Méditerranée.

Damp T-shirt and sunscreen Among all the variations that you can call or associate this beach / leisure type fragrance to is a damp t-shirt from your trip at the beach contacting with the sunscreen, to put it simply; provided that your sunscreen smells similar in the first place (ahah). I don't know if I have smelled other things like this before: there are a lot of salty, iodized, calonic, beach type of fragrances that want to portray many different facets of the experience but I think many of these are becoming a joke and depicting places in such a detailed way, using more than three or four visual hints, I agree with Pierre Guillaume: becomes ridiculous, well not this one. I think the closest beach-floral from the same category I have smelled would be Sabbia Bianca from Profumum Roma and although it has a different key-note and it's at a different concentration I place it in the same 45° degree angle of the spectrum. I smell a very faint iodized note, not sure if it's entirely due to monoi oil or if there's also ylang. To me Ylang-Ylang is one of the lesser indolic white florals and has an iodized smell on top of a creamy one right after: this is where I start to smell solar amber, sunscreen. It locks in with a comeback to something slightly tart but it isn't all salty. Of course if you weren't trained to like white florals as I do probably you would consider this perfume misleading. It's a really brilliant blend of coastal human experiences bottled for everyone to use. Personally I love to use it to complement my late afternoons from may to september, the creaminess comes forth when you're blessed by the last sun rays and the white florals deploy like one of those gorgeous night flowers after blue hour.

I'm not sure I'd call this aquatic. The coconut gives it a beachy feel, but from the perspective of lying on the sand, not being in the water. I don't find anything watery about this. It's predominately coconut. A ripe, green, slightly bitter coconut. After about an hour, the flowers start to show off a little, with lily being the most prominent. It's very softly floral and very pretty, but the coconut stays dominant throughout. I detect a pinch of petitgrain, but I can't say I notice the black pepper or ginger. This is a nice coconut and soft floral fragrance. I enjoy my sample, but I don't feel there's enough going on to inspire me to buy a full bottle. It doesn't really conjure up the images I'd hoped it would from the description and I'm disappointed that it's not really aquatic. Soft sillage and around 6-7 hours longevity.

Indeed, reading the notes that contain it, you think of a very sweet tropical perfume, perhaps slightly salty... in reality its soul is much more flowery than you might imagine! At the opening you can smell the salt and an almost cemetery-like floral. The lily has this effect on me, then as the hours go by it becomes sweeter where I perceive the coconut and the monoi, but don't expect a classic beach perfume because that's not the case.. It always remains a beautiful flower. Although I don't love the lily for the reasons already mentioned, I admit that I don't mind it being particular but I would like to point out the fact that you must like beautiful flowers

I came for the frangipani and all I got was Lily. Lily, Lily, Lily...... *update* Jan 24 - so I sampled this again, forgetting that I had already tried it before! I prefer it now and I am getting more frangipani, which it was I was searching for after almost loving chantecaille's frangipane. I'd be fascinated to know if theres been a tweak in the formulation since my Nov 22 sample but I suspect i was maybe just a little too sensitive to the lily note before. I actually think its very very pretty. If I can find the right thing to layer it with I could love this. On it's own its too soapy floral for me...but for a soapy floral... its very very pretty!!

This one’s clearly doing “beach” but in a almost cartoonish manner. It’s a cheap-smelling, green floral undercut with some salty, seaweedy notes. Abrasive upfront, but it settles into something more tame — a sort of jasmine / cardboard kind of thing. It’s grassy, but it’s the kind of grass that’s been sprayed pesticide. Brazenly chemical, and deeply unpleasant. It smells like a functional fragrance more than anything.

Enjoyable floral. Perfect for a holiday vibe. Loads of white flowers and salt. Doesn’t smell basic or generic. I didn’t get much coconut from it, but that didn’t bother me. Nice frag.
