Agree with the inky note in this - maybe a combination of the blackcurrant and aldehydes, I think it works as the 'motor oil' accord in this but doesn't smell a whole world away from a less spicy/more flowery CDG2. Really well-balanced mix of powdery violets, darker leather and animalic notes and the 'unnatural' aldehydes into something that smells unique but more wearable than it sounds on paper. Fruitiness is also handled well here, mandarin comes through more to me after the initial spray has settled which is unusual for a citrus note, blackcurrant fortunately doesn't have the acrid 'cat pee' note that it often can. Performance is good even in sweaty summer weather so imagine this will really come into its own in colder weather, but feels pretty versatile - the rare leather scent that doesn't feel like 'a lot' for daytime.

Very beautiful and unusual perfume. On my skin feels very powdery and sexy, got lot’s of compliments with it. Violet and oranges are the most prominent notes.

smells like an inky take on leather. bears some similarities with Cuir Venenum.

Aldehydic floral with a vetiver base.

Very powdery violet start, mandarin orange seeping through the powder later on and turning into soft animalistic musk. Not much wood here for me. Pretty warm, sits close to the skin without much projection, develops noticeably fast. Violet makes this a granny's perfume, at least at the start, later on it becomes more suitable for a man, but still I feel it's a more feminine scent.

Smoky Incense with Ambery Mandarin. That is what I get mostly. It's really nice, but you have to be a fan of smoky incense. I get no musk. Towards drydown it somehow becomes 'creamy'. Not sure how that happens. It slightly reminds me of Bapteme du feu. Good enough performance.

Love the dry down, can’t stand the opening! I get all powdery notes at the top which went very changing table. The dry down is very musky, clean but with depth and interest. I don’t get smoke or challenging animalic notes.
