I received a 10ml tester of this perfume when Pierre Guillaume shop opened in my city few years ago. At that time, to me it smelled like lemon cookies. It was kinda too sweet for my taste. That summer I was going on a vacation and I brought it with me to use up the sample. I was near the sea and OH MY GOD it was the most gorgeous summer scent, it smelled like beach and sea. I dont know how to explain it differently. At first its citrusy and sweet, but after sometime it smells kinda musky on the skin. It smells summery and sexy and kinda animalic in a way. I was just blown away. It smells like you were on the sun all day, skin is a bit salty and musky and you are looking hot as hell. After some time I got the 50ml bottle and I use it even in winter. The musk is really strong after the citrusy vibes are gone and its present even in winter time. I still think summer is its best season. After few hours I cant smell it on my skin, but when I move my hair etc (I put it on my hair too) I get that musky base. Smells sooo expensive (and it is haha), and so sexy and unique too.

Sunsuality is a creamy citrus almost-gourmand grounded in sandalwood and soft musk. It opens with the tart juiciness of sun-ripened lemons and bittersweet tang of kumquats, which take on an almost candied effect with the effervescence of ginger. A bright lemon blossom note emerges to counterbalance the salty musk and depth of the sandalwood. If there were any vanilla here, it would definitely become dessert-like, but this beautiful synergy of notes create a sophisticated sensuality. It lasts surprisingly long for a citrus-based scent... long enough for me to savor the daydream of a hot July afternoon at the beach, where the scent of clean yet slightly salty, sun-warmed skin mingles with an open box of citrus candies, the fancy kind made with real fruit juice, spilling out of a leather bag. I love this delightful take on the sweet essence of summer. *This bears no resemblance to Fleurs de Citronnier (much more floral and powdery) for anyone wondering.

A salty, creamy citrus with good longevity (for a hesperedic) and strong sillage. Sunsuality opens with tart, naturalistic lemon and kumquat underscored by the refreshing and fizzy aspect of ginger. There's a salty note here that keeps this very much in the sunny/beachy arena but this isn't a frivolous or throwaway number. The refreshing top note dissipates pretty quickly but the point here is that this is a different take on lemon. Bright, acidic juice gives way to a much more complex and concentrated lemon oil and creamy sandalwood. This walks the line between a really interesting take on summer citrus and straight up lemon cream pie...but... a pencil-shaving muskiness and that clean skin note that is so prominent in Mugler cologne prevents it from veering into dessert territory. I love it.

This is a fragrance to die for. I got an aroma box and out of other 12 niche fragrances this one happened to win my heart instantly. Ordered 50ml and now 100ml. It is epic! I feel like eating the most delicious "Napoleon" with a spicy coffee and watching sunset in Rome. The boutique I was using is Sens Unique Perfumerie in Paris, France. OMG! I only wished it lasted longer and had stronger silage. Well, it seems to be the case with modern perfumes that they are not as long lasting, which may be a good thing too.

Now, PG has not created a frag for years that I could relate to. Sunsuality, finally, hit the right cord with me. It may be the ginger or the lemonblossom, still unsure, but it did the job. I do not think that this one would be dominated by the sandalwood as other reviewers pinned it down though but it does add a dimension and a body to the composition, creaminess even. I find this a rather good idea as it prevents the fragrance from turning into a flat floral fruity and also the longevity is better than other in such category. I also appreciate that it keeps changing throughout time (as many PGs do). Initially it's fresh, then it's a bit orange blossom-y and reminds me of JPG Classique, though a lot tamed version of it. An hour into wearing it becomes a creamy, slightly musky goodness with a bit of a bright streak and playfulness. This bright streak smells a bit like the odour you get when you sniff a muscat vine. So PG, thanks, I'll be splurging out on this one!

Decided, much to the agony of my bank account, that Im gonna get into fragrances again yay, BUT FIRST I must get through the final drops of the samples Ive collected over the years, first being the aptly titled Sunsuality <3 Funny; this really was giving sunscreen when I first tried it years ago, but Im realizing that downplays what is a quite beautiful and evocative scent... nice body lotion from an expensive boutique hotel might be more accurate?? The opening is an elegant citrus. It feels like a 2000s romcom summer fling on the Italian riviere; suntanning in a freshly cleaned robe after the spa on a sunkissed balconey overlooking lemon trees. Swooooooooon. Shes kindaaa flirtyyyy this one. As its mellowed out into more of a soap-y sandlewood, it feels more mature, bordering on unisex. Im gonna return to this scent when I reach my Carrie Bradshaw years. 8.5/10

Sunsuality begins on the skin with an orange soda note. I’ve smelled this same note recently in perfumes like IA Sundrunk. Here it’s used with much more restraint, and also doesn’t stay around very long, but while it does it is charming and lighthearted. After a while this orange pop fades into a salty skin musk with vague marine notes that I find very appealing. It’s a lean-in type of fragrance that is truly what real skin smells like at the beach. Underlying the musk and salt notes is the very faintest hint of sunscreen but it is so minimal. This fragrance is the best fragrance for wearing to the beach I’ve encountered yet, and if you can’t go to the beach this will take you there in spirit.

This is a lovely citrus, bright and creamy, with light floral notes. Yet why is the performance so poor? My experience with Pierre Guillaume's creations has been the same many times. I have a positive first impression. There is something that smells really interesting about the combination of notes, something that smells different in a pleasant way. Soon after, the scent loses its appeal and disappears from my skin. If you plan to buy it, make sure you try it first.

Something about the combination of notes gave me creamy, fleshy, tuberose...then I read about the fragrance and saw nothing like that listed! I was hoping for a refreshing scent leaning more heavily on the kumquat, ginger and lemon.

I think I get what the perfumer was going for here, and it's not the bright citrus/ginger scent that I wanted. See previous review, trabuquera nails it.

Sunsuality's opening notes are very bright: the lemon and kumquat give such a strong scent that it almost makes my mouth water, it is so citrus-forward. Luckily, they fade quickly enough into a gentler, sweeter version of themselves as the lemon blossom takes over. Still very citrusy but more like an orange candy than an orange warhead; it's sweet but fresh, not at all soapy. After 10 minutes on the skin is when Sunsuality's woody notes begin to come through and bring the heady orange back down to Earth. Initially, Sunsuality is almost headache-inducing but as it dries down, it matures and mellows out into a sweet, woody orange. The lemon blossom starts out as the most prominent note but as the hours pass by the sandalwood takes over, turning it into a true woodsy fragrance. The longevity and projection are both moderate; this is not a fragrance you will detect on yourself unless you catch the right breeze or wave your wrist near your nose. I usually prefer to wear fragrance I like no matter the season , but this one is definitely a scent meant for summer; I can easily see myself wearing this on a hot summer day or to the beach. Overall, Sunsuality is nice but not a must-have for me; if you love citrus, especially oranges, this is for you! I would call it a younger fragrance although really anyone could wear it. *Side note, it did give me a bit of a headache any time I smelled it up close. This is more personal and may not happen for everyone, but I did feel the need to mention it as I'm not usually sensitive to fragrance and some others wrote the same.

This one's a nope for me. Promising note list, and I can sense straight away what it's aiming for - bright summery citrus on sun-warmed skin, like Gallivant's muscular beach-jock Tel Aviv. But on me the funkier extreme of the kumquat and above all the musk/sandalwood bottom end take a nasty swerve to unclean, almost metallic sweat and near-body odour of the less pleasant kind. No great loss, fun to try, it's probably my fault and it just doesn't work on my own sunwarmed skin. High priced and not the best performer. Very, very evocative of the beach, just not on the side of the shore I want to be. Do try it, but don't blind buy a whole bottle until you've let it run its course and got a sense of what it will do for you. I'll be sticking with Hermes Jardin de Monsieur Li when kumquat craving strikes.

A gorgeous lemon soufflé opening with a tinge of green coolness to it. It's not quite neroli, more woody, and my temples are pinching so I'm guessing Iso E Super is involved. A light, fresh musk establishes itself, possibly with some bergamot too, making Sunsuality quite soapy. There's the smoothness of Australian sandalwood with a faint background fruitiness — the kumquat? — to finish things off. And I have that sinking feeling that the musk is going to be my bête noire cashmeran... Yeah, I think it is. As the lemon notes fade out I'm left with an enjoyable light, fruity soap-sandalwood-musk skin scent but as the dry down continues the cashmeran and sandalwood get dirtier and Sunsuality is demoted from the top rank. If cashmeran sits well with you it could be worth a test.

Bright exotic joyfull opulent summer scent. Very very reminiscent scent that you get in those exotic spa resorts, there is something very nostalgic about it for me. The scent feels creamy because of the sandalwood, I guess, the sweetness from the fruits is pretty interesting. The ginger note is not harsh and zesty but light and well blended. I see a lot of negative comments but to me this is very interesting and reminiscent of summers in early 2000, like very very chill summer evenings on the sea side, those bright sunsets and heat of the evening, bright orange sun and this air... yeah there is just something in this scent that makes me think about my flirty happy years when I would spend all my summers by the sea. Those amazing evenings when there is just something lingering in the air, some flirty drama when you feel so sexy all tanned with sun-kissed hair. If you have seen the box of this perfume with a woman laying on the beach... THIS FEELS JUST LIKE THAT! 100% just like the picture on the box!

First try: This is very interesting and beautiful! The first citrus blast is unique with that Kumquat and ginger added. Its refreshing, but also sweet - in an elegant way. Then the lemon blossom comes in and its glorious - I wish it lasted longer! Smells kinda like ylnag-ylang, tuberose and something else - very unusual, very summery and sunshiny! The last stage - the sandalwood - stayed on my skin for about 5-6h and it was just sandalwood, nothing special, which is why I want to test it out more before getting a full bottle. Great fragrance overall!

First time I smelt this, I just thought it was okay, didn’t think too much of it. Then later that summer on a really hot day I wore some more of my sample. And something just clicked. It’s meant for the heat. It makes warm skin smell sensual. I quickly used up my sample that day. Could not get enough, and then I kept thinking of it until I had to get a bottle. I think of the Mediterranean when I smell this. Windows open with linen curtains blowing in the slight breeze. This is Pierre Guillaume’s finest work. And I adore his perfumes!!

I was very much looking forward to try this one since I really liked it on paper as a summer fragrance. I don’t know if it was the Parisian sweaty subway scent that took it over, but Sensuality was smelling like alcohol for the first 5 min then turned into a cat pee scent. Very disappointed but it might smell different on someone else’s skin. Not for me though.

tried this without reading the notes and was not in love. immediately it smelled like cleaner to me (which sometimes happens when lemon is amongst the top notes since i can be super sensitive to it). i also learned from dama bianca and junoon noir that kumquat is not my jam. that holds true here. i will be gifting the rest of my sample to my sis. 🖤

Very disappointed, rather screechy and "chemical" like perfume sprayed in a sears outlet. Strange and not for me. Moderate sillage and lasts about 5-6 hours. Dry down is doughy/pasty. Sample!
