Yes! I think it only works on well-hydrated (a little oily) skin - at least that's how it's been with me. I see what others meant about gypsum. It's there when you look for it, at the beginning and the end - the most poetic version of gypsum I've ever smelled. Otherwise, I get a fresh, floaty bay leaf, then a citrusy, grassy green apple rounded by LOV, and finally a musky, slightly ambery fig leaf. Lovely. New favorite. Original review: I wanted to love Genesis so much, but I don't think it agrees with my skin chemistry. The fresh opening turns sour-harsh on me, the musky drydown too soapy. Despite that, the lush green verbena-apple-grass middle is absolutely beautiful, and I'm probably going to wear this fragrance from time to time just to get a tiny whiff of it, even though that part doesn't last much longer than half an hour for me. I can tell this scent, just like all the Pigmentarium projects, is of high quality and very skillfully composed. Genesis is definitely worth sampling and discovering whether your skin is the lucky one to turn this into the green gem I know it to be.

With this perfume, I feel divine. It is very basal, pure and vivid. Green. It is symbolical: genesis, origin. There is a purity and non-pretence. The laurels create an impression of sanctity. However, there is also an apple in paradise and the fig leaves. Musk and amber give a warm, sensual base and this fragrance turns into sensual, seductive. Yes, Genesis is a delicate sin. And I will enjoy it. Longevity 5 hours top. Sillage between intimate-moderate. What a hidden gem really. Such a nice, green, ozonic fresh scent. Opens up very bright and green, dries down to an airy/watery, green woody/musky, verbena fragrance with some aldehydes in the back - all perfectly blend together. I get a little similarity with Xerjoff - Torino 21 (Fresh bright, airy, verbena) & the aquatic dna of Acqua Di Gio. Strangely enough, I also get a little 'gypsum' smell in the dry down. Only drawback, it's a little expensive. Worth sampling for sure.

opens with a beautiful strong apple smell reminiscent of orchards, and settles into a soft plant like fig scent.. really lovely perfect for summer afternoon teas i reckon

This is my favourite summer fragrance.

sharp, cleaner-like opening that disappears within seconds. then strong on the green apple. fresh, crispy, tangy, juicy, quite photorealistic. the aldehydes give it a welcome punch and it's a little citrus-green thanks to the laurel and verbena. lily of the valley is a perfect addition to this to tie it all together. the fig and rosewood in the base are also really nice, but i wish it had more depth. overall it's a little synthetic. it mellows out as time goes by, but stays just the tiniest bit synthetic throughout. very fresh and pleasant for spring and summer and a nice change from the citrus freshies and tropical summer scents. overall a quiet and translucent, "safe" fragrance. fades after 3-4 hours, sits relatively close to skin the entire time. layers really nicely with gentle florals or dry woody musks.

Wow, yes! If you like vegetale scents, this greenery, lush and vivid raw grass/leaves will be right up your alley. Fig leaf makes it a bit rough, but verbena and other greens are just positive. I also detected LOV at first but neglected it as flowers are not that common in green scents. Not my cup of tea to wear but I love smelling this category!

first spray is a sparkling blast of lemony verbena. definitely reminiscent of cleaning supplies but somehow i’m not mad about it. it’s zesty without going too sharply sour. got about 3 solid hours out of it before it became quite faint. very refreshing and i kept sniffing my wrist!

Strong green aldehydic opening, which quickly transitions into a fresh photorealistic green apple with a cool green background. Very nice. Longevity isn't great though (like 2-3 hours), and the same goes for the price (140€ for 50 ml is just too much) .

One of the perfumes that smells exactly like it’s description. All I can get from it is gypsum, or the place where it is considered as primary work material. Is it the art atelier, or the construction site of nearly finished building? Hard to say. This might sound poetic and all, but I’m not sure it works in the form of parfumery. I tested it twice. Sadly, not a match.

Had to scrub this off my skin. To my nose, this is a vegetable-forward scent with an undercurrent of eczema. I really can't fault the formulation, but this reminds me of a classmate who had really really bad eczema, and a note in this perfume genuinely reminds me of him. If you're in Singapore I'm looking to get rid of my bottle.

A slightly earthy green fragrance, smells like fresh-cut grass and green bell peppers. Not my cup of tea, but I can see its appeal.
