Gingerbread

I first smelled Gingerbread in 2024 and I didn't love it. It wasn't quite sweet enough for my liking, and smelled more like the dry ingredients of cookies before they were baked than actual cookies. The updated 2025 version though? STUNNING. It's ever so slightly more buttery and sugary, smelling like a freshly baked and decorated gingerbread man. It was my go to scent for the holidays and will be for years to come, as long as the formula remains the same.

I have it on my hand right now, and I am craving some more sweetness, but it is getting more sweet which could be a good sign... Update - it has great staying power and it gets a lot lot sweeter as it wears which I love. Conclusion - very interesting scent, one that I could still wear. It opens up extremely dark - very smoky and spicy mix, but as it dries down, that brown sugar note appears and sweetens everything up.

Another Pineward banger. Molasses, brown sugar, butter and ginger on the opening mellowed out by a creamy vanilla, clove-y bread note. It smells of a slightly boozy and well just like gingerbread. There also seems to be a floral quality that I can't name but it gives the fragrance that little extra to keep it from being boring.

this opens up very dark & spicy but 5 minutes in becomes a a spicy ginger w a sweet undertone, as it drys down it becomes more and more sweet incorporating the molasses & brown sugar notes more & more. Longevity is about 12 hours and it projects nicely for 6 overall this is a 10/10 fragrence & my personal favorite from pineward

Gingerbread Pineward Perfumes – 9/10 A delicious and cozy gingerbread scent with impressive performance thanks to its high extrait concentration (around 32%). Smells very accurate, like real gingerbread fresh from the oven. Highly recommend if you enjoy sweet, spiced gourmands.

Really good perfume. I love the ginger smell, and it wasn't too pungent. It lasted a decent amount of time, with only one spray. Very good, and I am considering buying a full bottle.

Nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove powder billowing in the air, and brown sugar mixing with wet and zingy flour. Also- your recipe calls for freshly ground ginger, your grandma insists on it. I think the reason why some folks say this doesn’t read as gingerbread is because they don’t know what raw gingerbread dough smells like- this doesn’t hit me as baked cookies- this is how the kitchen smells right before the gingerbread men get slid into the oven. I think a little more of a molasses note would make this 10x more readable as a gingerbread, but I think it’s done very well done nevertheless and its worth it being able to smell like cookies without smelling like bath and bodyworks. I have celiac, so I’m taking a risk by sampling this (contains wheat extract) and probably won’t wear this often because of that (but I wish I could!)

A lovely comforting brown sugar, nutmeg-y, gingerbread scent. Not overly sweet or cloying, but it has a decent village and staying power. I have the newer version that doesn't have the butter CO2 in it (apparently this is a source of contention amongst Pineward fans), and I haven't smelled the older version of this which does have it, so I can't compare. I'm not in love with this enough to get a full bottle, but it's certainly pleasant and I'll probably get through the full sample bottle. If you're searching for a classy high-quality gingerbread gourmand fragrance, I'd definitely recommend this one. It doesn't smell like a cheap autumn candle, as many frags in this genre can do.

I’ve loved this one for quite a while, and have been itching to finally get a bottle as this is limited to only one part of the year on the Pineward site. This is an old but cozy & warm winter cabin bakery that’s been specializing in gingerbread cookies and Christmas treats that’s been hidden away in the wintry forest for decades. Once you enter, you’re punched in the face with the aroma of years of gingerbread making: simply just gingerbread, cinnamon, butter, molasses, and cream. Impossible to hate and blind buy safe if you know you’re gonna smell like the gingerbread man. 9.3/10

Nice gingerbread aroma, better than most of the genre. A little more sweetness and it would be perfect.

Not so much gingerbread, but a beautifully festive cookie nonetheless. Smells like walnut cookies topped with molasses, being baked in a log cabin. These cookies are buttery, wheaty, and bready, served with a glass of warm milk. You get the backbone of gingerbread in the opening with a medley of spices like clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg. As the scent develops you lose that overt spice and it gets taken over by a heavy butter note, and richly nutty walnuts. There’s milk and cream there too, added a silky sweetness. The dry down is woodier, deeper, and richer, with a molasses that adds a lovely touch. Just such a perfect gourmand that encompasses festive comfort and warmth perfectly.

GREAT OPENING!! however its not a very gingerbready smell, spicy? sure, sweet and kinda boozy? fosho, but no gingerbread. i loved this for about an hour but found the scent kinda generic and the dry down didint make me any bigger a fan. hey atleast the longevity is like 12 hours! 6/10

Like a more ginger-y version of Jovoy's Fire at Will because of the brown sugar. It also has a slight biscuit-y note in there. One of the few mass-appealing fragrances from Pineward.
