Mint Cocoa

I tried this in the pineward winter sampler pack and it was one of my favorites of the bunch. I am not often a fan of gourmands but this is really a lovely holiday gourmand for people who do and don’t like gourmands. I get hit with the cocoa and malt first, and then the mint and vanilla, and then the patchouli, woody notes and resins. It’s cozy and nostalgic of a minty chocolate scent that we all know, but feels so special the way the fragrance presents itself with earthy notes underneath. My only complaint is that I don’t feel like this lasts more than like 6 hours and be careful because it will leave residue if it is sprayed on clothes!

This smells like a mug of warm milk that just got a York peppermint patty/Andes mint dropped in and melted to make the silkiest, richest, mintiest, and darkest hot chocolate you’ve ever drank. If you’re expecting the fragrance to smell like its name, you’re going to like it. This is like - objectively good if you are actively expecting a mint dark hot chocolate drink fragrance. 8.5/10

Luved this one, i was kinda scared coz i havent had any good experience with "warm spicy", but i really love mint and chocolate, so i had to try it...Its creamy dark chocolate with like mint paste, like those chocolate snacks filled with mint, yummy :3 Mint note fades and it turns into a dry chocolate scent >_< .

This was a surprise heavy hitter from the Christmas sample pack! A mature gourmand- not too sweet, but it will make you hungry. Surprisingly alluring and well-fitted for a winter date night.

I have found an alternative to the legendary "Ore" fragrance; from now on, I will no longer search for "Ore," which has become unavailable and exorbitantly priced.

Opens as a dark chocolate hot cocoa spiked with rumpleminz, dries down to a chocolatey and minty patchouli. Very festive and appropriate for the Christmas season.

This is fragrance is an andes chocolate mint in bottle. Intensely fresh green (patchouli and cedar) and chocolate in the beginning and dries down into a warm spicy, creamy vanilla and praline gourmand backed up by remains of the patchouli, resin and woody notes Very holiday appropriate.

I get a lot of bright peppermint just like a candy cane on top. The drydown, ten minutes later, is a gentle vanilla-cocoa. The entire experience is pleasant and the fragrance comes across well made. ***It will definitely stain clothes though so only spray on skin. 8.2/10

this is good, better on paper then on skin tho. the patchouli really shines on skin, which just makes it smells dirty to me. thin mints with patchouli, which kinda just make this one meh. 8/10

Drinking yummy cocoa with a mint sprig in the forest. The drink impression fades and a comfortable spicy scent remains.

If you want to smell like a York Peppermint patty, Mint Cocoa will fulfill your needs.

SKIN TEST: This comes to life on skin! The synthetic chocolate note is gone. I still get chocolate but it’s coming from an almost lava cake patchouli. It’s def more unisex than strictly feminine only. This is almost lickable on the skin, and the musk at the base functions like a tobacco vanille in that there’s a mix of *some*warming spices, dried fruits and a pleasant dark & woody accords. I like this a lot more on skin than on paper strip. I might buy a travel size for the cold weather PAPER TEST STRIP ONLY: I don’t dislike this but I think the 2ml sample I purchased is more than enough. This is reminiscent of a candle from bath & body works or a lip scrub from Claire’s with added nuance. I get two chocolate-y accords: artificial essence (like a cheap vanilla extract but chocolate) and a chocolate cake-y patchouli. This is less chocolate-forward than I anticipated, despite that. It’s also not very mint-forward. This is an easy scent to like but it’ll be harder to wear, particularly for hot gourmand lovers. This deviates hella from mainstream edible scents. While I get a pleasant malt note, it’s very faint. I may not have been able to detect it if I didn’t see the note breakdown. I plan to conduct a skin test in the near future, but I don’t expect a stark difference in my interpretation from paper to skin. Heads up, this seriously stained my paper test so don’t spray on clothes or cloth.

a little upset cause this was the one I was most looking forward to in my pineward order. it starts off very york patty adjacent and I get only mint, patchouli, and woods for the entirety of the dry down. it’s a very dry scent and if I do get any chocolate, it’s in the form of a weird tootsie roll. idk

made my tummy hurt but yeah this is surely a cocoa-dominant fragrance with mint and patchouli

My sample from the November 2024 sample pack was so strong that I sprayed it once(!) on my wrist before bed and my blanket still smelled like it 2 days later! Like Coffee Tabac, it opens with a blast of cool, camphorous patchouli and waxy-Hershey-kiss chocolate. If you like patchouli, this is for you! I am not a patchouli fan and was disappointed about how overpowering it was.

Rich, strong and long-lasting mint chocolate concoction. My boyfriend smelled it and said he smelled no chocolate at all, just tobacco, and once he mentioned it I smelled tobacco too. I wonder if the perfumer used tobacco and patchouli to create a chocolate effect? This leans a bit masculine imo because of the patchouli, tobacco and whatever woodsy notes are in there. The mint-patchouli accord is interesting, and the use of earthy base notes keeps it from smelling like a Bath & Body Works spray. Would be great for a guy to wear in cold weather

Photorealistic mint chocolate. Go to the store and rub mint chocolate all over yourself and if you like it then get this. No need to sample this. I'm being 100% serious btw
