Every single note mentioned above is present and accounted for with the apricot beeswax, oats, tea and oakmoss at the forefront. The dry down is nutty bee pollen, honey and light tea notes with dried apricot. Hours later it sits as fresh, sweet bees wax with a wisp of hay. This is one of my favorites so far. If you have ever smelled a real bee hive or fresh bees wax, this will transport you back there. There is a property in Massachusetts on hip camp, which is sort of like Airbnb but for people who want to have a more exotic camping experience. One of the listed properties has a cabin that has multiple beehives built into one of the walls, and there are small viewing doors that you can open and the only thing between you and the inside of the hive is a steel screen. As the bees flap their tiny little wings, they warm the nectar and slowly condense it into honey and there is a scent that wafts off of the beehives that is very calming, and almost magical. This fragrance has encapsulated that natural bee hive scent. I will definitely be getting a full bottle.

This opens with a fuzzy apricot, it’s the skin of an apricot not the full fruit, as it’s not necessarily juicy, but it’s definitely fruity. The blackberries are there too, side by side. Both of these fruits smell like they’ve yet to become ripe, like they still need the warm sun and time to full ripen. Then comes in the beeswax and it’s waxy and powdery with sweet warm honey accompanying. It’s followed up by bready wheat and oats, sweet and warm from the sunlight. There’s subtle hints of tea leaves and fruity jam spread with a light earthy hay. This blend of notes works beautifully together and it creates a picture of an autumn afternoon with the warm sun gracing over a pasture picnic, toasted bread with jammy preserves spread on them, grass blowing from a sweet breeze.

immediately this smells to me like the honey you might buy from a roadside stand or a farmer's market in some small southern town; unpasteurized and organic. It's so pleasant and atmospheric, if I close my eyes, it feels like I'm back in Virginia up in the mountains; like the orchards and small antique stores; wooden furniture aged to sweetness. It's like drinking a cup of the sweetest blackberry tea, little lambs grazing in tall grass and hay in the distance. I feel like the Bennet estate in the 2005 film version of Pride and Prejudice would smell like this.

Nice performance. This is very well crafted. At least, in my humble opinion. It does remind me of Slow Dive. But I actually think this is better executed. I would wear this over Slow Dive any day. The standouts are beeswax, hay, wheat, and oakmoss. The other notes are just noise. Really pleased with this sample. Yet another fantastic fall fragrance. You probably can get your favorite 7 (one for each day) fall fragrances from Pineward and just rotate until the dead of winter. If that's your jam. This is going on my "want" list.

Ahh...my new favorite fall fragrance! I'm overjoyed to have Pastoral in my collection. It is soooo comforting! I love the progression of this warm, autumn themed fragrance with a huge love! Sweet jammy preserves with warm pastry and spices. Honey and grains with propolis to bind all the warm yumminess together! Pastoral is a total joy to wear for me personally. I'm excited to wear the heck out of it over the next few months. Another home run from the house of Pineward Perfumes IMO. WHOOOO!!!! I smell good! LOL...

This is a powerhouse. I sprayed it on a test trip and 48 hours later, it was still going strong. It's such a unique scent (in a great way). For me, it perfectly captures the feeling of an autumn harvest. I would buy a full bottle but I'm just not cool enough to pull off this fragrance. I'm a middle aged guy and this scent is just too unconventional to wear in an office setting everyday. I'll buy a dram and pull it out for special fall occasions or just to smell it. I do love this scent

Another solid agrestic perfume from Pineward. The fruity, jammy notes are very prominent upfront, and then give way to honey, hay and other grains. I find it pleasant, but I can see why others would find it too sweet. Seems like it’s a sweeter cousin to Hayloft with a bit more projection.

OMG the opening is giving warm fruit tea with a big spoon of honey. As it progresses the wheat notes really shines through and it became some sort of a pastry with berry jam filling. For me it's a 9/10, kind of evokes the feeling of hugging your grandma.

After letting this bottle sit for a month, I finally decided to do a review! I absolutely adore this--the hay, honey, and beeswax really come through for me, and it's sweeter than I thought it would be, almost wistful, probably because of the rose.

When I first sprayed it, all I got was honey, that slowly faded into full apricot, then a little hay at the end... I am in love!! 8/10 only because I wished it lasted longer on my skin.

Not as sweet as I expected, but very unique and very natural smelling.

Smells like a beeswax candle and nothing else. Gimme 14 bottles.

Sampling Pineward Perfumes Pastoral, a 2022 release that I somehow overlooked these years, a blend featuring honey, beeswax, blackberry jam, oat, hay, vetiver, and woods, a mostly-gourmand that is a bit denser and darker than, say, a fruit stew or cider, but still not quite as dark as most of the other extrait gourmand-adjacent offerings in the Pineward catalogue, and in that vein it’s more so medium-bodied and accessible, but it’s nonetheless a very interesting blend, just a twinge biting upon first spray but very creamy and inviting thereafter, perhaps vaguely in the same realm as Slumberhouse Baque, but superior. Still, as these types of blends go, I prefer Christmas Wine, but overall, I think this is well done—creamy, boozy, beeswaxy, but grounded with some grains and woods. Pastoral is extrait concentration, seemingly only sold via the house website in the US, at the standard extrait pricing of $350/230/150 for 100/52/32ml, so as with most of the extraits, you’d need to love them to buy a larger bottle, particularly considering the strong performance, but there’s also always the 4ml or 2ml sample route. 7 out of 10

I grew up in a town full of orchards and this reminds me a lot of that. Generally being surrounded by honey, hay bales, berries and tractor rides. It's very nostalgic and I love it for that. It's very high quality and everything smells so real. More practically speaking.... The apricot is too much in this to be combined with the honey for me. It creates this huge, dense bubble of "yellow" that's just a bit past the point of being overwhelming. It may just be too bright for my taste, I think toned down a bit and letting the hay or darker blackberry shine a bit more would make this feel more balanced. But this is really overwhelming until ~30-40 minutes in when everything starts to settle a little, then it becomes a lot nicer. I like it, but I probably wouldn't get a bottle of this.

There's definitely a hit of cat pee in the opening. Thankfully it doesn't last. A minute or two in it's aggressively honey-filled. Like you popped a full spoonful of honey in your mouth and then shoved your nose into a beeswax candle. In the drydown the honey notes do subside a bit and some jammy berry sweetness starts coming through. There's an herbal note similar to sage under the sweetness, and a slight warm smoky tobacco. Like smoking a pipe on a crisp fall morning next to a beehive. It's nice. Not much in the way of projection or sillage though.

This actually brings me back to when I would drink sleepytime tea before bed because I was having an exceptionally hard time falling asleep. It smells exactly like sleepytime tea that has just reached the point where it has cooled down to becoming slightly cold.

Honey. Entirely honey. honey-est smell I've ever smelled.

Pineward has been a hit or miss for me, and I was really excited for this one, but after the indicial spritz all I am mostly getting apricot jam and must/dust. For those who may have traveled to the many small and old tourist destinations of America that litter route 66, it's giving those dusty gift shops (in a good way). A shop of homemade woodwork and candy, I can see a sweet, square jawed old woman on her rocking chair behind the cash register, mason jars closed with multi-colored plaid cloth. The floor is still the same boards put in almost 100 years ago and there is the faint crackle of Johnny Rodgers on the radio in the back room. It's not for me, but it's not bad by any stretch.

I have mixed opinions. I really liked it at first since it smells like a farm but without the horseshit, so really good, but the honey notes became a bit too much for me. The wheat and mossy notes also fade out a bit fast so it ends up just smelling like faint fruit and honey on my skin which i'm not a huge fan of. It's not bad, just not what I was expecting. My friend also said it smells like old lady chocolates which isn't necessarily bad but also not what I was going for. I'd still like to try it out in cooler weather to see if it brings out less of the warm honey notes, but I probably wouldn't buy this in a full size.

Musty smell like scratching your balls on a warm day and you smell your hand after. Hints of honey and some old lady in a thrift store. It's weird and overall unpleasant. I'm trying to like it but to be honest I don't think I can make myself really enjoy this. I'm going to let this one sit for a while and see if it'll mellow or something but I'm not getting my hopes up.
