Cuddle Punk

(Based on the "petal" sampler, may smell different aerosolized) This one is kind of weird (complimentary). The cypress lends an "underripe" sort of quality to the apricot that tempers the sheer fruitiness to a fresh, light scent. Kind of reminds me of the skin of an underripe mango, except it's apricots. I'm inclined to call this a "happy" scent to be honest, it's tropical without feeling like you dunked a mai tai over your head. Every-day tropical if you will. Perfect for warm weather. The vanilla smooths the apricot out to an almost yogurty quality and the tobacco is faint in the background but present enough to keep this fragrance from smelling too sweet and childish. I can't overtly smell coconut but that may be the source of the milky sweetness (as opposed to the apricot's fruity sweetness). I didn't anticipate liking this one as much as I do! Of the petal sampler box, so far this is the only one I actively plan on buying a full bottle of, provided the dry down isn't weird (derogatory). I do agree with another reviewer that this is very much a candle scent but I think it works as a perfume too. Edit: After less than 2 hours it became a skin scent on me, which is heartbreaking. It still smells lovely and fruity (think apricot vanilla yogurt) but I really wish the performance was better.

I usually don't like this type of fragrance but this one surprised me in the best way. This is the type of scent that takes you on an adventure and constantly changes. It starts with a dose of tobacco but the sweetness from the apricot and freshness from the cypress balances it out really well. The apricot note is prominent throughout but leans orangey on me which makes it nice and bright and really punchy. Personally, I don't get any patchouli which is fine with me. It is definitely woody and fresh but deepened by the tobacco which pops up occasionally, made more interesting from saffron and coconut and brightened and balanced by cypress and apricot. I LOVE this.

Sometimes I read these reviews and I wonder if I have a completely different olfactory operating system? I LOVE this fragrance. I do not smell fruit of any kind, nor Cypress or anything along those lines. I adore apricot, which is what drew me into this one...but I do t smell it at all! I smell (to my delight) black pepper in abundance. Maybe patchouli. I find it to be a bright, wide awake scent with a decent sillage and pretty good lasting power. People here have mentioned the Vaseline/vaporub vibe- but I don't get that here at all. The pinrose fragrance called simply 'Pinrose'smells like bathroom cleanser to me, though, maybe a little like Vicks.

This and Pillowtalk poet were my favorite from this line (I got the sample pack that included the whole line a while back.) Anyway, I bit the bullet and grabbed a bottle off of ebay - it seems like they may be discontinuing this one which is a shame. It's lovely and unique, sweet and warm - apricot, vanilla and patchouli. Really perfect for fall - longevity 10+ hours and has great sillage/projection for like the first 4-5 hours. This is NOT a wallflower perfume.

I didn't get any top notes, just a really mellow vanilla/patch/tobacco that was brightened up by the saffron. Sillage was about 2 feet after I first put on but within an hour it was a skin scent that lasted in total of roughly 2 hours. Had this lasted longer even as a skin scent i would have splurged on a full size bottle, as it is I'm happy with the small rollerball I have. If I find on sale, really discounted, I'd buy just for those two hours.

This literally bounces off my skin. It has a peach skin smell and the saffron in it makes a nice sweet scent trail. I think I'm smelling vanilla, but I know it's the tobacco that is giving it a rich base. Cypress is definitely in there giving it an aromatherapy effect. It's not a perfume I'm smelling but an aroma that gives me a calm feeling. A fruity smell that I almost need in hot weather. Love this one a lot ~Cuddle Punk!

My bottle is from the original packaging - maybe purchased circa 2016 or so. This is a very unique vanilla which starts out with apricot and sweet tobacco. It is likely the most unique vanilla-centric perfume I own. I don't wear it often - it's a mood for me, maybe a sort of defiant one - but I love it. I think it's my favorite Pinrose.

The tobacco really pops in muggy weather. It has a fruity feeling throughout, such a great choice for summer. I smell a bright and sweet fragrance that lingers.

I got to sample this along with the whole line at my local Nords, apparently with this line the scents are suppose to reflect your moods through out the day, && supposedly you take a quiz that tells you which group you fall under each pack comes with 3 for morning afternoon && night, I didn't take the quiz however, this scent is the one I gravitated towards the most (being a lover of vanilla based scents) && just happened to like the other two that were with the pack as well i.e. this fell under the pack titled 'The Charmer' You can buy them singly for 55 (1.0oz) or the packs of 3 for 24 (fragrance packets), but this one I liked this most it just smelled so good on, && the names cute too! deff. a must add to my wants list. Overall: the whole concept && idea is pretty neat I always think its cool when fragrances have a lil' concept or story to go with them. Also was told the different scents are meant to be able to layer together.

This smells exactly like a bowl of juicy peach shisha right when you put the hot coals on to warm to take that first drag. I used to be a fan of smoking hookah with friends, and this really brings me back. When we used to host parties, my hookah snobs used to bring out their fanciest setups and their favorite shisha and there would be a table completely surrounded by people smoking. I'll never forget the smell of those sweet clouds. The tobacco and cypress in Cuddle Punk make it smell slightly robust for a fruity fragrance, but that coconut and jasmine really help to round it out. This seriously has lasting power on my skin. Over 12 hours later I still get that sweet apricot without the tobacco intensity, but there's also this sheer, smooth vanilla, and yes it is very cuddly and the drydown is so cute.

It was an interesting mix of sweet apricots and fresh green sharp cypress in the beginning. Now it smells like a Vanilla Fields sillage bomb three hours later. Thanks for the nostalgia, but I'm gonna pass. Secret Genius smells better on me. And doesn't make my boyfriend almost pass out. Edit: Six months after the last time I tried Cuddle Punk, I decided to give it another shot. I figured that since it was July now, the fragrance would be even stronger. I was surprised to find that it was MUCH lighter! Who'd have thought that heat and humidity would tone down a heavy fragrance? It really brought out the apricot and coconut, and tamed the vanilla. Amazingly I didn't get so much patchouli; my skin amps up any patchouli the vast majority of the time. I might have to change this to like...

The punk you are cuddling up to here grew up in suburbia and hangs at the mall. No safety pins here. Not even a nose ring. This one is sweet and mischievous but never mean. When asked Hey,what's your favorite fruit? and everybodys answer is peaches, our Cuddle Punk will say Apricots! just to be different, and then skip off to buy a round of Cokes for her friends while she drinks a Cream soda. Sillage is moderate, which is good cuz I don't think anyone wants to throw this much fruit around a room, but the good news is longevity. Doesn't start to fade until about hr4, so if you like fruits and are looking to add apricots to your basket of goodies, this would be one to consider.

The famous apricot & vanilla fragrance was TOO SWEET for me. I was unsure about trying Cuddle Punk. I love it! The saffron & patchouli temper the sweetness, and really makes you want to cuddle closer to smell it. It's very light and was gone an hour later. It lasts more like cologne than an EDP.

I was hoping to like this because some of the notes were so different, and if there was just one thing changed in it, I think I'd absolutely love it. However, there is an ingredient or note that I cannot stand, and I cannot wait to wash this off of me. I'm loving the apricot, and there's a creaminess to the fragrance that takes off some of the fruity edge. I'm guessing the coconut. Good start, right? Then there's the scent underneath which is just killing me and making my head pound. I think it is the tobacco, but it could be the cypress. In any case, if this was content to stop at creamy and fruity, I'd adore it, but I feel like I'm sniffing chemicals instead, and I don't recommend this for someone wanting a light and pleasant scent.

This is so incredibly unpleasant, I'm honestly shocked. It has an overarching scent of cypress, which is very masculine. The other strong scent is tobacco - a strong, boozy tobacco that kind of also smells like boozy tonka bean. This one has good projection, but I just did not like it. It is definitely not what I would have expected based on the name and packaging.

Disclaimer: I have a life-long aversion to anything peppery- (Also worth noting that I have sensory processing disorder and i am HYPER sensitive, so I'm gonna pick up on stuff more than neurotypical people). I hate pepper, leather and tobacco. But i *have* smelled other 'dirty' fragrances and still been able to appreciate them. That being said, nothing has ever assaulted my senses more than this. This is just offensive. It's confused. It's a hot mess express. It doesn't know what it wants to smell like. If not for the name "Cuddle PUNK" i would have never guessed that it was trying to smell like a 'punk' in a leather jacket with tobacco-y, vetiver-y smells. I don't smell any fruit and the top notes escaped me. I cant see how ANYONE would want to smell like this. I waited as long as I could stand, hoping that the dry down would have some redeeming qualities but NOPE.

Such a fascinating, unique perfume. The most interesting one I've tried from the Pinrose collection. The notes in here are off the wall! I never thought apricot and cypress could smell so good. The smooth, sweet apricot with vanilla really tones down the heady sharp aromatic vibe that cypress can have. I get a lot of patchouli (slight hippie vibes) and a lot of tobacco in the top. A LOT of tobacco - real tobacco, smells like you've been smoking a pipe in the woods. It blends in with everything else as the fragrance dries down, so it's not too weird to wear in public. The dry down is full of delicious, delightful vanilla that is by turns green, honeyed (with fruit nectar) and rich earth. This is a Pinrose that has good performance and throw. I see this on someone who's into hiking and forestry, androgynous in that sense (not so much punk.) And not too cuddly either - kind, friendly, sweet like campfire s'mores, but won't just give anyone a big hug. It's too green for that.

If this perfume were a person it would be someone who is sweet, fun, eccentric and has a childlike spirit... yet at the same time has all these layers and isn’t face value. This fragrance takes some time getting to know because right off the bat it’s sweet, fun and different... but as you wear it more you discover parts of it you initially missed. When I first smelled it I was reminded slightly of With Love by Hilary Duff from back in the day even though it’s not exact. It’s just got that sweetness w/ a cozy edge like that fragrance did. So I would imagine that if you like that fragrance family you would love this! This fragrance speaks volumes to me personally and I can’t get enough of it. Cuddle Punk is my favorite Pinrose fragrance and wishing they would bring it back because I’m low key afraid to use it in fear of it never coming back.

What an oddball fragrance. On initial spray, it smells like vapor rub, which honestly I don't really mind. 15 minutes in, it starts smelling a lot more like vanilla and apricots. About an hour or so in, I smell more of the other notes like tobacco, patchouli, and saffron. It keeps me on my toes and I find it to be a very versatile scent. I could see myself wearing this in the summer, or the winter. I could wear it on a hike, or to a dinner date. Glad to have it!

This really is such a chameleon fragrance on me. Throughout the day I get whiffs of apricot, carmex lip balm, and black licorice. That part reminds me of the way that lingers on me with lolita lempika. I love that scent but it overwhelms me to actually wear it. Cuddle punk I just got in their big roller ball set. I like it because it's weird. But that might prevent me from ever loving it. But I will say it is a fun and interesting ride!

Musk, coconut-vanilla and citrus dries very coconut heavy, sweetly fruity floral. Another easy to wear pleasant scent but it’s so linear and basic that it’s a little boring. As far as just smelling nice, it’s great. I’m realizing I don’t love coconut notes, but with the apricot here, it dries to a very smooth comfortable fragrance.

One of my best girlfriends was strung along by a musician who wore this perfume, and although I don't have a high opinion of the musician, they did smell very good. I ordered a bottle recently, hopefully it's as I remember! But I probably won't wear it around my friend.

This one is starting to grow on me, but at first whiff, the apricot and cypress came on far too strong. After it settles, the floral, vanilla, and patchouli notes dim it down. I still think this would function better as a candle than a perfume, though.

This smells like Vaseline and chest rub on my skin, and it's strong. Apparently apricots don't work for me.
