Tambourine Dreamer

Although I don't think, based on the marketing, this is the feel that the house was going for, I find this a sweet, gentle, motherly, yet still youthful and romantic scent. I get a distinct mental image/emotion from this perfume: it's like a young mother seen through the eyes of her very little daughter, looking wide-eyed at her mother's boudoir, seeing her jewelry, makeup, skirts, high heels, and even her tights and slips, knowing, but not quite believing, that someday she too will have a woman's face and a woman's body, and will know how to make herself beautiful with all the mysterious little brushes and trays and pots, wondering what she will look like as a bride, as a real, grown-up woman! Remember that? When we might play dress up with scraps of pretty fabric or old heels and costume jewelry, but we knew it didn't look quite right, because we still had little girl shapes, and the world of womanhood seemed so alluring, yet so far away? Yet, here we are.... Anyway... lily of the valley, with its utter sweetness and femininity, does that for me! And it feels classic and timeless. Since I am drawn to classic things, and I am a 31 year old mother and two of my children are little girls, this scent it really feels right to me! I love to think that this will be the scent memory my children have of sitting on their mother's lap for stories or playing at my feet as I get dressed. And for all the talk of mothers and story time, I have to say I also find the smell sexy. It could be a wedding-day scent. When I say it's sexy, I mean maybe not sexy like a black strappy bandage style ensemble, but like a long, fitted, white silk, backless negligee with lace. Since I'm a romantic at heart, I really do love it! Final notes: I don't find this perfume heavy or cloying at all. It's not super powerful, but that is a plus for me. I don't really want you to smell my perfume unless you're hugging me! ;) My husband gets "fresh linen" and flowers and this is his favorite of my collection. Like all Pinrose scents so far (except maybe the signature "Pinrose") I wasn't irritated after wearing it all day and my asthma wasn't triggered.

This was definitely love at first sniff. I'm a lily of the valley fan in nature, but I'll agree it can go sharp and unpleasant in fragrance quite easily. However, in Tambourine Dreamer, the LotV is stopped just short of pungent by a kick of grounding Ylang ylang. I can scent out almost all the notes for just bits of time, and the result is this sugared lemon but floral but grassy but creamy jasmine-y goodness. How lovely! Also, I swear this fragrance made me feel cooler in the hot sun, so it might have some calming and clarifying properties to it (makes sense with the ingredients). I can see where people felt it was similar to Heaven from Gap due to its delicate sensibilities, but this one is just a tad deeper and earthier. It's on my "want" list for sure.

I am in LOVE with this fragrance! Winter is long and cold where I live, and as we go into March, I am so ready for delicate spring time scents. I've been wearing my heavy oriental fragrances for months and this is like a breath of fresh air! The lily of the valley is powdery and subdued ,this is not a headache inducing power floral, it's softened by the musk and the perfect thing for when you just want to feel feminine and pretty. I

I bought a rollerball of this and Garden Gangster, and ordered a fb of this a few hours after trying it. It's a very clean floral, and I think it will be perfect for summer. It does have lots of lily of the valley (which I love) but it has a bit of 'soapiness' which keeps it from being too sharp. I think it will be going on my favorites list for sure!

I usually steer clear of lily fragrances (too funereal for me). But upon testing my sample I found that this is a lighter lily, well balanced with the other white florals. There's also much less sillage than I'd expect, given the notes listed--although I am noticing that the scent comes out more about an hour after drydown. The musk is noticeable, but not as much as I thought it would be. It's nice. Probably not enough to make me spring for a bottle, but nice! I can't imagine anyone finding anything daring or outright objectionable with this one.

I recently purchased the sample sachet set. 2 of each scent. Today I am trying Tambourine Dreamer- based on the notes I added this to my want list. The sample set of towelettes is amazing and great for travel or on the go. I’m not disappointed and I think most of the reviews thus far have described it accurately. I find nothing offensive about the cruelty free and vegan perfume. Probably not a one spray but multiple spray scent. Calm, relaxing with intimate sillage. It smells nothing like J’Adore.

Pinrose’s quiz chose this scent for me. I was nervous to try it because lily of the valley is usually too strong and overpowering for me but it’s much better than expected; very well balanced. This is a warm, sunny, dewy, and almost creamy floral fragrance. I wear this a lot on sunny spring and early-summer days. I’ve never smelled a sunscreen that smells like this but I can kind of see how others would compare it. Not powdery or fresh to me.

This is ok. Not as good as secret genius or mystical misfit which is not listed in this encyclopedia. I wonder why they dont add hee dreamsicle smelling mystical misfit to the site. Anyways, muguet definitely dominate tambourine dreamer. The ylang also comes thru pretty well

LOTV and ylang ylang stand out at first, then settle into something clean, soapy and summery. I think this is a great vacation scent, especially if you like Jennifer Aniston perfumes, J Lo Glow, or philosophy’s Grace scents.

I could almost swear that I'm smelling honeysuckle. The floral in Tambourine Dreamer is fresh and bright. It's youthful, and perfect for a spring day in the fresh grass.

It's sits so close to the skin and stops smelling altogether after an hour that I couldn't find my place with it. It didn't smell bad. It just wasn't worth wearing.

Very subtle, powdery floral. I can barely smell it on my skin after a few hours. Good for people who want to smell fresh without it being obvious they're wearing perfume. For me, though, it's not strong enough.

My skin chemistry has aged these white florals, and they, in turn, have aged me. We are both 80 now. Struggling to remember why we are together, anyway, or where our reading glasses are. The scent wants nothing more than a hand-crocheted shawl to slowly oxidize and leave brown shadow on. I want nothing more than to wash this off and regain the remaining scraps of my youth. It is a funeral arrangement from yesterday's service, and I am in no mood for mourning.

Funny how subjective perfume can be. I tried this today from the Pinrose petal sample pack and it’s one of my favorites from them. When I smell this I get the feeling of being at a beachside resort, walking into the outdoor pool area. I get whiffs of the tropical flowers that are nearby as I unravel my beach towel and lay it across the lounge chair. It’s been freshly washed, and it’s soft and fluffy. I rub sunscreen on my skin and lay out in the sun hoping for a nice tan. Every now and then I feel a spray of pool water as the kids do cannon balls in the water, but it’s cooling and refreshing. This is really good, I have a sensitive nose and don’t find the LOTV to be too sharp. To me it’s like Philosophy Pure Grace and Living Grace had a baby with some ylang ylang thrown in making it slightly creamy as it dries down. If your sensitive to white flowers I would do the “spray and walk through” method. Otherwise this is beautiful for spring / summertime!

I bought this after it was compared to Living Grace, one of my favs from Philosophy. This perfume was hard to get, making me wonder if its being discontinued? Anyway, I wouldn't really mind as I find it smells NOTHING like Living Grace on my skin. It is almost sickeningly sweet and floral- I'm getting all of the orange blossom and ylang-ylang. I wish it had a little more soapy, clean feel on me but, alas it doesn't and feels very young and cheap. Cloying to the point of being nauseating. Not for me!

Super clean lily of the valley perfume. It reminds me of Nivea Creme or the like when I put it on, but with a biting sharp freshness, instead of a softness. I smell the ylang-ylang here, but again, it's been soaped up here. It's like you took the flowers that were here and wiped them all with rubbing alcohol, when you first spray it on. The lily of the valley is the strongest note as it dries down, always retaining its sweet freshness. It's an extremely pure smelling perfume.

Way too much lily of the valley for me sniffing from the bottle. On the skin, it’s got other notes making it a lot better, more layered. The citrus cuts the LOV a lot, but overall it’s still a little girl’s lily of the valley to me. Then again, I'm far past my little girl days, so this would work for probably anyone younger than me. If you like lily of the valley, you can't really go wrong with this. It's simple, pleasant and a great day wear, I'd think.

Bought a set of 2ml sample rollerballs from Pinrose and this one is my favorite. A sweet, soft, inoffensive white floral; smells like sunbathing in the garden. Something about it is nostalgic for me-- maybe the slight sunscreeniness to it. Overall, I'm pretty lukewarm on this house. Most of the scents feel like slightly upgraded Hollister/American Eagle mall fragrances. Would only recommend for a teenager looking to get into perfume.

This perfume is a shapeshifter! I can't decide if I like this one or not. There's something I really don't like - probably the peony and that soapy orange blossom. But then I get a whiff of things I love like the verbena and ylang-ylang. And then it's right back to the too-strong-floral. Weirdly, it smells totally different one whiff to the next. Do I love it? Do I scrub it? I can't decide.

Lily of the valley comes through EXTREMELY strong here. If you like LOTV you'll love this perfume. I am in no way an expert but on first sprits I could tell immediately that LOTV was one of... if not the only note. I find this fragrance for the true floral lover, not warm sensual floral but maybe pristine sharp crisp floral. Not bad at all, but not for everyone... lol and not for me.
