Lepus

Lepus is bright in the beginning with a blast of Earl Grey bergamot and black tea, but before too long, it softens with a silky milky accord. The milk never sours behind the citrus—instead, it stays frothy and warm, and mellows the astringency of the tea and lavender into a perfectly smooth London Fog scent. Musk and vanilla round everything out with a bit of sweetness and fluffy softness. I can imagine Lepus would be great as a bedtime fragrance, if that’s your thing. It’s beautifully blended, and cuddly all the way through—its lavender and milk evoke the kind of comforting drink you might like before settling into bed under a thick duvet. Other commenters have mentioned its impressive lasting power, and I have to agree. It’ll cling to your clothes (and possibly bedsheets) for quite some time, but it’s not beastly in any way, it’s well-mannered and silky smooth even after a full day’s wear. I really enjoyed wearing it on a chill, rainy day, and I’m interested in seeing how it performs in winter.

so glad this was finally put on here! in terms of piper & perro’s perfumes this is second only to froth. a beautiful homage to a london fog tea ( in my opinion ) lavender-hearted but not heavy on the nose. it’s more earthy sweet, creamy and lactonic from the milk and vanilla notes, really well balanced with the black tea and bergamot to create that semi “earl grey” feeling. except it’s not, this perfume is genuinely unique even though it’s reminiscent of a well known tea and i think it’s wonderful. affordable too, for those who don’t want to splash out on things in the same category as this!! if you like the idea of spending a rainy spring afternoon walking through lavender clouds, or waking up to dewy fog in early autumn, this is for you. to conclude; one of my fav perfumes ever!

Gorgeous black tea scent. The elements are well-balanced. It’s not a gourmand, but there is a slight sweetness. It’s warm like sunlight, slightly floral, and so comforting. It seems more suited to fall, but I think it’s light enough for year round. It lasts a long time on my clothes, days in fact. About 4 hours on my skin.

So glad this was finally added to the fragrantica database because it deserves some praise. This is a lovely lavender-forward London fog: black tea, bergamot, lavender, and creamy vanilla. Smooth, warm and bright at the same time, soothing. Perfect for a rainy day, bedtime, anytime.

Love it! You get an initial burst of zinginess from the bergamot before it dries down into a very milky, lavender tea. Feels like a hug in a bottle. Would recommend!

Absolutely delightful. The tea is invigorating on the opening, but it dries down creamier and creamier until it's a cozy, warm, milky vanilla. Not cloying, not sweet, just warm and delightful. It's perfect for snuggling up in an oversized sweater on your couch with a book and a milky mug of tea on a rainy spring day. I enjoyed this scent, and like another said, it lingers on my clothes for days, even if I wear a different perfume.

very floral and soapy at first, but it softens into being a little soapy but in the sort of cozy just after a hot shower and you're getting into clean sheets kind of way. don't really get earl grey / tea from this. not much projection but it's long-lasting and very nice!!

To me, this is way milky, too much. I can’t really tell if there’s lavender, and I also don’t get much tea or bergamot. I get milk, vanilla, and musk mainly. The only other fragrance I have from this house is Froth, which is much better than Lepus. I will try spraying again when the temperature is cooler, perhaps in the fall or winter. Update: 07/23/2025 I layered this with Arielle Shoshana’s Monday, and it created a pretty nice London Fog. This is how I will be wearing it. Quite happy with the combination as I was looking for a London Fog perfume.

Did I even get the right perfume?? I smell no lavender, no black tea, no bergamot, none of the notes that this perfume claims to have. It smells like cloying grape candy. The travel bottle I got doesn’t even have the name of the perfume on it (the bag had a Lepus card in it). I’m so sure I must have gotten the wrong thing that I just emailed the company asking for help. I have maybe 8 actual London fog-esque perfumes and this one smells nothing like the tea drink. Totally disappointed. Edit: I reached out to the company and they sent me a replacement assuming there was something wrong with the one I got (they have EXCELLENT customer service) but it smells the same as the first one. I guess it must just be me. The scent it has is starting to grow on me but I still wouldn’t say it smells like the notes it claims to have.
