ROARING 20'S IN A ROARING PERFUME This was such a delight for me. Now I can wear this whenever I dress up in a 1920's flapper costume! This is a strong cologne type fragrance (unisex) with deep amber, smoky patchouli, a dark red rose and spicy notes of pepper, caraway and warm honey. The scents come at you all together and it's quite strong. It's modern but has a 1920's cologne vibe. It's definitely an evening fragrance. It wants to be worn with a tuxedo if you're a man or a beautiful evening gown if you're a woman. Can also be worn with a cocktail dress. It's a fragrance of the night. I don't see how they call this an Oriental although it almost goes there because of the patchouli, but that's a common note in other fragrances that aren't Orientals. This is a dance all night fragrance, sexy, let's make love in the back of a car while someone else is driving type of fragrance. It's strong and loud and proud. It's not for everyone but it can be for me, sometimes. I have 2 bottles and am using up the first. Unfortunately it's hard to find unless you look for it directly from their website. Places Des Lices also has a matching soap and it seems to be selling a lot more than this fragrance. If only they had added an animalic acord of civet, some strong incense and perhaps a jasmine and I would have been really in Heaven. But for what it is not bad. This is so sexy, so very sexy.

On first sniff, I realized I've smelled this before. It's Geisha Noir meets Rush. Similar notes - Patchouli, vetiver, amber, spices. It's a sexy evening perfume, not an office or first date scent unless you have an agenda. This perfume represents the naughtier, boozier, loss of inhibitions side of the twenties rather than the brighter Charleston/flapper images. It's what Al Capone's girlfriend would wear, not Elliot Ness's wife. I can also see it as unisex - men who like Geisha Noir would probably like this. It has nice sillage and is long lasting as so many with these notes can be. I've been really impressed with several of the scents in the Lices line; don't let the labels fool you, these are serious, quality products.
