Closeness

This DOES smell like glossier you. The only difference, which for some could be a dealbreaker, is that the pepper is not as significant upon initial spray. When you first spray it, the carrot is very strong, making it like a sweet version of glossier you (not sweet in a gourmand way, but in a watery way). That sweetness does dissipate a lot but definitely sticks around in a small way, where You has almost none and is a lot drier and sharper. The dry down is nearly indistinguishable and in my opinion the carrot makes it smell even more musky and “your skin but better”. This is still at its core a musky peppery woody clean fragrance in the same exact way. I would say Closeness is a colder fragrance and You is a warmer fragrance, if that makes sense. I’ve smelled a lot of dupes on a desperate hunt to find a longer lasting You and usually, all of the differences are a dealbreaker for me no matter how small. So when I say this is the most similar, I mean it. The closest out there is Zara’s and it’s discontinued with even worse lasting power. And the longevity is soooo much better here. You lasts all of 5 seconds on me. TLDR: If you want a true replacement that lasts a long time and are okay with it being a tad sweeter and less dry upon initial spray, I think you’ll find that this is a perfect alternative.

This perfume has become a part of me. I feel calm and at home when Im wearing it. I also feel like something is missing when I dont smell it on me. Reminds me of the deep lake atvgrandfathers cabin, the forest and also my little wellsmelling Yorkie.

I tried it at SpaceNK today and bought a full bottle on the spot. It’s almost identical to Fleur de Peau but twice cheaper.

Perfect mix between Glossier You and Phlur Father Figure. Buy if you want to smell like high quality luxury paper!

I was really intrigued by these and bit the bullet to buy the travel size set. I didn’t know, going in? that this one in particular was a basic exact match for Glossier You, but upon first sniff I knew! The GREAT news for me is I loved the OG You, but in recent years the new reformulation goes completely sour on me. This scent captures all of what I loved about You years ago but is a bit more complex somehow. It smells less synthetic somehow? I really love it and now want the full size immediately!!!

I bought Pleasing Closeness because of the reviews saying it is very similar to Glossier You, but with much better staying power. Closeness and You reminds very much of each other, absolutely. But Closeness is a orris scent and You is an iris one. Both are lovely though! Unfortunately I can’t smell Closeness for more than an hour or so. Next up: Sonic Flower!

Did not like this on initial spray but as it dries it gets better. It smells like "You" a tiny bit but this is more salty and peppery to me. Disclaimer: I know nothing lol

I also picked up the travel spray set and excitedly cracked this one open as I thought it'd be my favourite from the way its described in their adverts.... That was a biiiiig mistake ngl, at first I thought it was funny that this just smells like a salty carrot cos that's exactly what I felt like for spending a ridiculous amount of money on 3x8ml sprays that I then assumed all the rest were gonna be just as weird... Closeness has definitely grown on me, looking at the notes it's definitely salted carrot softened with the orris, I don't get any of the other notes at all personally. Smelling it dried down I can see where the skin on skin, being close and steamy with someone vibe comes from... I guess... What I'll say is considering how niche it smells the price then feels borderline reasonable (the rest of the set are pretty overpriced for what they bring to the table) but absolute worst case scenario if you pick up the set (would NOT recommend blind buying the full size) it'll layer nicely with your fresh scents, particularly if you want to dial down the sweetness of whatever it may be. I've been through a rollercoaster of emotions with all 3 fragrances but tbh I'm only annoyed that I can see myself justifying picking up another set once I run out 😅

I was very curious about these Harry Styles perfumes. His brand is really hyped on TikTok and all over Internet. I was doing some research particularly about the perfumes. They are made from collaboration between Robertet perfumer Jerome Epinette with Harry Styles. Harry supposed had a hand in the creative process of a scent. And that might be true, because I came across rumours on Instagram by Harry fans who personally meet him in the past, saying that Closeness is really similar to the scent he wore. Pleasing pop-up stores are also scented in cloud of Closeness. So I blindly ordered that perfume, not just because of association with Harry but because all the people on TikTok saying that this was the sweetest among trio. And I was also intrigued by clean sheets, bamboo and salt notes in it. Some compared that perfume with pre-reformulated Glossier You. I never smelled that perfume, so I really didn’t know what to expect. I’m glad that it’s now mine, because that was a ❤️ at first spritz. It’s so attractive and sexy to me. It’s smells really like a dream guy. But it’s not overly masculine, it is gentle, skin scent. With time becomes more powdery but not overly. Something airy and watery is also in it. It’s like the feminine smell collide with masculine pheromones. No harsh, chemical elements here and it’s not boring. I never smelled any perfume in my life, that smelled like that. This would smell so good on your boyfriend. And if you are overly girly with sweet taste, you can layer this perfume with something super feminine for an interesting twist. I also agree with previous reviewer. There’s something in that perfume that evokes lakes and forests in United States. It has that American feeling.

You can’t convince me this isn’t Sonic Flower Extrait. They came out the same year so I doubt one was inspired by the other but I’m telling you, they are the same thing. I won’t be fooled by your trickery. I kid (mostly) but really, they are extremely similar. Closeness is stronger and has a green undertone that SF is lacking but otherwise, on first sniff, I said, “Oh, this is Sonic Flower.”

Out of the 3 Pleasing perfumes, this one was a flop. Pink pepper and orris is a really weird blend I would never want to wear on my skin. Two really funky notes that don't belong together. I like pink pepper only in certain blends. This is worse than Glossier You, since that one contains iris which is different from orris.

This is Glossier You but reimagined to be more niche smelling. It’s a lot more earthier with a dry salty edge. The more interesting version compared to Glossier You and Sonic Flower. IG/Tiktok: @wilddew_vibes
