Purple Gourmand

I got this for my daughter and had to try it and just WOW its so good and strong,im not a gourmand lover at all but i still know quality and this has it all over.Ive also tried other Pocket Scents and i highly recommend you try them. Okay im getting this after smelling it again its just sooo good that smell is amazing. Edit.....My girlfriend uses this and the compliments she gets is off the scale no kidding,Its nuclear projection off her even outside you smell this,its a 10/10

This is the perfume of a confident, fun loving and sexy woman who knows how to enjoy the finer things in life. She'd have a big smile, a big heart, a big laugh and great fun to be around. Now you may aspire to be that woman, maybe need a little confidence boost - well this is the scent, I promise you. Great perfume, pure joy. Performance is excellent and the pricing very fair. Best for nights out and nights in.... 4/5

I've had this for about a year and it's a beast. Kept thinking I had smelt it before...low and behold i have, it's a dead ringer for New York Nights Bond No 9 . Just sprayed both and they are 95% identical to me. New York Nights Bond No 9 is maybe a tad sweeter, but both similar in the opening. Love the brand, and have many from Pocketscents.

This is a true gourmand scent. It is sweet but neither thick nor cloying. Purple Gourmand is cosy & simply delicious! The predominant note in here is caramel and it lasts throughout the whole wearing experience. Vanilla and coconut add more sweetness and creaminess to the fragrance. Fresh pear and jasmine, not really noticeable on my skin, play a supporting role in this composition and keep it from becoming sickly-sweet. Patchouli in the base gives depth to the fragrance and together with musk and ambergris rounds it out and provides a long-lasting wearing experience. All the notes are blended to perfection and well-balanced. In the deep dry-down the sweetness is toned down and the scent becomes a bit powdery on my skin. Purple Gourmand is a unisex fragrance and it's quite unique; it doesn't remind me of any other gourmand scent in my collection.

Purple Gourmand does quite well for itself as a very inexpensive fragrance, however I don’t think it’s for me. Immediately I’m greeted by this rather strange coffee and pear combination which simply doesn’t feel right to me, before noticing a dark burnt caramel beginning to build up strength. From here it then heads in the opposite direction once again with the introduction of jasmine and coconut, resting on a base of vanilla and patchouli. I find the majority of the fragrance is dominated by this intensely sweet caramel, bitter coffee and juicy pear. The quality isn’t bad here, it’s actually quite good, I personally just find this particular mix of notes to be very strange and off-putting. It doesn’t smell like you would expect a gourmand to smell, which might be great for some - but for me I find it strays too far in a ‘unique’ direction.
