Secret Boyfriend

This is a wonderful scent! I absolutely love it and wanted to share how I've been using it this past winter. I have to get up very early to get my daughter off to school, and the mornings are dark, cold and rushed. I use this beautiful scent as a little bit of aromatherapy on those cold mornings. It's too early to choose a perfume for the day and I can't take the time to think about it, so this became my early morning go-to. It is cozy and comforting and so pleasant - a perfect accompaniment to my sweater and brewing coffee while diving into the morning rush. I'm using the oil rollerball and the Water Mist spray together, which I wasn't sure if I would like but it turns out I LOVE using it this way! It creates a lovely little scented cloud for a couple of hours. It doesn't last super long - but that's totally fine and actually perfect, because once I get myself dressed and ready for the day a few hours later, I tend to choose a more traditional EDP for the rest of the day. Whatever remains of Secret Boyfriend just acts as a sweet little cozy layer under my other EDP. I look forward to this scent every morning and find the oil rollerball + water mist combo to work perfectly for me this way! Now that spring is here, I am sampling more Poesie scents to find one I can use like this through the warmer months, which I'll enjoy first thing in the morning and then the remains will be a lovely little base layer under my summer daytime scent. Thank you Poesie, I'm really loving your products!!

Shame this didn't make it to the permanent catalog. It may be voted "most similar" to Sleepy Ghost (I really disagree) but Secret Boyfriend is one of Poesie's more layered, nuanced, & interesting fragrances, more in line with Whisper Your Bitter Things. I hope it can make a reappearance ? Perhaps Secret Boyfriend just wasn't selling well, as folks that went looking for marshmallow scents were scared away by the leather note. I personally don't like leather frags on me & the leather jacket accord in Secret Boyfriend is sooo subtle... It really just adds to the scent, I can't explain it any other way... I can see the typically "masculine" notes making feminine customers wary.. but if you have ANY inclination to "unisex" fragrances, especially outdoorsy marshmallow scents, then you mustn't miss out on Secret Boyfriend, even if it is just a mere sample.. Promise you will love it.

my absolute favorite poesie scent. it's such a comforting, warm scent that is a really beautiful balance of being feminine and masculine. it's sweet and woody, with an almost powdery aspect to it that makes it such a beautifully soft fragrance. perfect for cold weather. reminds of like a grandma who lives in old cabin and this is what her hand-made quilts smell like by the fireplace.

Brings me back to highschool fall & winter, making out with my boyfriend for hours. Wearing a sweet body spray, leather jacket on & the smoke from toasted smores we snacked on during those times while "Superbad" or "American Pie" was on. "Just one more kiss" would turn into an hour. I knew in the back of my mind I had to go home, but after all... he was my "secret boyfriend"

The reviews under this scent get me. This is amazing. I usually don’t like marshmallow or leather but I LOVE THIS. It’s so pretty and comforting. It doesn’t smell like perfume to me, just like a warm hug from an attractive, kind, motorcycle driving man
