Tiny Phantom

This is the only indie house I've ordered from and I love it. This morning I am wearing my sample of Tiny Phantom and it is so delicately sweet, warm and pretty. Youthful. So far I've tried maybe 8 or so fragrances and I love them all! I just ordered one of her "Mystery Bundles" for the fun of it and am looking forward to its arrival! On me, the scents I've tried are mostly skin scents, which I understand is typical for fragrance oils. So I use these in the morning when I wake up, before the day has really gotten started - when it's too early to know what the day will be like, and too early to decide on a SOTD. It feels like a sensory gift to myself to begin the day indulging in one of these cozy scents - they go beautifully with my coffee and PJs and general introversion, and allow me to ease into the day. The scent lasts just long enough to form a quiet little base layer for whatever my main fragrance of the day will be and then fades out of the way. You can indulge in sensory variety and enjoyment without fear of commitment. :) I love the creativity and literary inspiration that Ms. Nealy puts into her body of work. Visiting her website is so fun and makes me want to try one of everything! Samples are very reasonably priced. I will definitely keep returning to her collections and have loved carving out a special part of my day for her scents! This is the only rose I have ever liked, and I absolutely love it! Beautiful and soft candied rose. I'm not even sure why I ordered a sample, but somehow I ended up with one. Maybe it was a gift with purchase. Nonetheless, this is such a delicate and feminine rose with beautiful powdery and musky notes from the opening. The musk gives it a bit more depth and keeps it from being a sweet rose overload. Its dry down doesn't change much. It has great longevity (about 8 hours), but I do have to put on a LOT to even smell it (as with all Poesie perfume oils). On me, it's very much a skin scent, but sometimes I just want to smell beautiful for myself, and/or for my husband in intimate moments. I will likely be buying a full bottle of this and Versailles from Poesie. That's saying something, as a perfume has to REALLY impress me before I will shell out the money.

Starts out very 'sugared rose' straight from the bottle, immediately followed by a powdery note. I don't get the woodsy+musk scent until dry down, but it helps to temper the sugary sweetness into something softer. I put it on my wrists for a close-to-skin scent. The longest lasting notes on me are the rose and baby powder scents, which are subtle and pleasant. Evokes the image of a Victorian dressing table, with a sort of powdered makeup with rose oil scent. Nice, but not my favorite.

weird but I like it; expected a sweet candied rose instead it is more about the wood; this is some rose with a smokey woodiness and a little sweetness. I am a rose lover. I don't love this but I like it. It's different and on the line of a rose/oud combo but a little more smokey rose. Not an incese rose. It sweetens up as it dries down but still has the wood note. The smoke tames a little.
