Year Without Summer

this smell reminds me powerfully of the 24 hour cafe i used to frequent. late at night, it was mostly hippies and insomniac poets lurking in the booths, the baristas pulling bitter shots of espresso & chatting with the regulars to keep themselves awake, wafts of tobacco & weed smoke drifting up from the hookah lounge downstairs. despite the strong connotations, it's surprisingly easy to wear, and sits close to the skin as a dry, papery, slightly bitter threadbare wool sweater. it's a scent that veers a touch stale, but in a comforting, way that is both wakeful and drowsy as a cafe past midnight.

black coffee sweetened with brown sugar. last night's cannabis smoke still sticking to your sweater. dirty skin musk. green, herbal, and earthy. the attic of a centuries-old house. on my skin, this scent is very musky with a hint of sweetness; like others have said, the coffee is not at all forward and the cannabis is quite green. i definitely get a strong smokiness from this fragrance, which might bother some. personally, i love the intensity.

This is incredibleamazingbeautiful to me. Coffee comes on strong at first then fades into a lighter, greener scent. Overall is graham crackery to me but in the best way possible...

This smells just pizzelles and coffee or espresso after dinner on Christmas!! So crazy as soon as I smelled it I knew what I was smelling. Definitely a situational fragrance for me, I don’t always want to smelle like a pizzelle, but wow this is very comforting this smells like my family

Here's an interesting one. Year without summer has the coffee from As Dark Things Were Meant To Be Loved by Alkemia and the coffee and black amber/black musk from Possets' Quantum Interconnect. The black amber/black musk from Possets's Spell 125 (and likely others from Possets) and the rubber drydown of Bvlgari Black's top notes. Now you know what it smells like, so I've either satisfied your curiosity or made you need to try it yourself.

Medium roast coffee with an offputting herbal edge. This scent depresses me.

Got this as a free sample with my Poesie order, and I really dislike it. Others here have mentioned a sweetness or cannabis note, but I just get hours-old coffee and something rotten. I work at a coffee shop, and it just smells like the fumes that come off of the old nasty self-serve coffee as it hits the sink that is full of food. I think this is just a scent aversion based off of a memory from work though, so if you have ever been a barista, stay away.

Coffee and an almost herbal tobacco note. Not spicy, floral, salty or warmth of amber. Coffee in the top then the herbal note takes over.
