Police Potion Love For Her

Absolute LOVE. This smells just like Armani My Way. Super sweet, bubblegum tuberose with some citrus, and a powdery bubblegum vanilla base. Starts out strong but softens after about 10 minutes for me. Lasts all day. The Dossier version of My Way is much stronger than this, it's basically nuclear. However, Dossier bottles never last for me because I wear perfume every day, even if I'm not going out, and I top up my perfume once it's faded a bit. So having this in my collection will help with that, since I can get this scent in a 3.4 oz bottle instead of the 1.7 Dossier bottles. Anyways, this is just beautiful and I'm so happy I tried it out because I will be purchasing tons of backup bottles of this. I just think this scent profile is absolutely perfect for every day and it's something I could smell like 24/7 and always know I smell amazing.

I think we need to revisit the definition of dupe, which means similar to - not a clone. And yes this is VERY similar to 'My Way' by Giorgio Armani, or if you have 'L'Interdit' EDT - This is the same but more fruitier and brighter. This has surprisingly become one of my most used scents: the opening is such a scrumptious sweet bowl of citrusy fruits followed by the same bubblegum white florals of L'Interdit. The drydown is almost the same as L'Interdit, but without the vetiver, also it's certainly not powdery on me. It's very sexy, I dare say sexier than its inspiration scents. On a woman? Va va voom. TL:Dr A fruitier, brighter & more seductive version of L'Interdit without the 'wintery' notes. Excellent sillage and longevity as with all Police scents.

I bought potion love hoping for an affordable alternative to my Way and was not disappointed! The opening is strong, beautiful and expensive smelling! The sea note gives it a unique slight difference from My Way, the drydown smells like My Way and Olympea had a baby! It's a very pretty and versatile scent. I got a good 7 hours of wear and can still detect it on clothing at 9 hours. I'm super happy with potion love and the bottle is very cool : ) Update: 10/7/22 after letting this marinate for months it has gained more depth and has woody and musk notes in the drydown.... I'm even more impressed 10/10 : )

Wore this on new years after getting it for my birthday LOVE LOVE LOVE! initially, its a nice, fresh but sweet floral (not in the sense that its creamy, i hate creamy scents) you can definitely sense those sea notes- which i love very fresh but not in an astringent, bleachy kind of way sometimes i get a little waft of bitter grape or grapefruit if you're considering getting it, do it! its affordable and if you dont end up liking it yourself then its perfect for someone who likes clean feminine scents (if youre struggling for gifts)

Inspired by the previous article, I would also like to add So Scandal to the comparison. This is a little less green and a little more creamy caramel than So Scandal. I so agree with that silly generalization: Arman, Givenchy or other big houses didn't invent tuberose. I also understand that the analogy makes it easier to describe the scent, but "dupe" is a bit misunderstood of a label, I think.❤️

This is not my favorite fragrance, but I still wear it a lot, mostly in spring and autumn. On me it smells fresh, but can at the same time be a bit cloying if you spray too much or combine with another sweet smell. I always pair it with a musky frangrance. It doesn't even compare to My way tho, I don't know where people got that comparison from.

🥰🥰🥰Definitely a dupe for My Way and I can detect some similarity to Paco Rabanne Olympea. It’s floral and sweet; reminds me of fresh cut flowers. Uber feminine leaning and performance is impressive. Blind bought successful and easily my top 10🥰💐

This is a great dupe for My Way. I go nose blind after about 2 to 3 hours, but I have had others tell me I smell nice after that. It is a lovely bubble gum tuberose and orange blossom scent.

It smells identical of my way except longevity, but its understandable for the pricepoint.

On me this is not like L'Interdit which I had bought and returned instantly because it was too dirty patch-heavy, orange blossom and pear salty mess on me (both of these notes are salty on my skin, esp unripe pear), and the vetiver while I usually like it, it was too smokey there like pungent old lady scent in church settings. To think I LOVE balsamic incense scents - looking at you Good Fortune Elixir Intense. L'Interdit is good for me smelling it from the sprayer only. The only connection I see with L'Interdit is the balsamic effect from the amber-rose in Potion Love at the drydown, but it is a subtle and non-smokey in Potion Love without patchouli dirty spiciness. Potion Love on me is far more creamy than My Way and I see some similarity, but they are not exactly alike. To me My Way was always very creamy, but compared to this it lacks some depth and creaminess and it is more sour and heavy on the orange blossom eventually. So Potion Love is slightly differentiated with the balsamic fresh rose and peach creamy sweetness - peach at the base, genius move! I smell more notes with Potion Love, a richer more multifaceted scent to unfold on my skin. Their drydown is quite similar, but this one is slightly more spicy than My Way even though My Way is more sour on me - sometimes ambrarome's ambergris note paired with the orange blossom comes off like pop corn-fizzy savory on me, that's the feeling in Potion Love. Still Potion Love retains its waxy creaminess or should I say rubbery creaminess? haha. About that... "Toxic rubber" reports the review below me, haha YES! You could say that. I said that too in my mind and then I tried to recall where did I read a review mentioning "rubber" and I didn't fret haha. It is rubbery in the later stage of the opening. It is the Ambrarome responsible for this, and it is more subtle on me apparently than on the 'unfortunate' reviewer below me hehe. At first I thought it smells like hot asphalt in road work, then it smells like rubber (not in a very obnoxious way, nothing too smokey here on me, but def weird). The waxy orange blossom is detectable before the rubbery obscenity; it kinda intensifies this rubbery feel in the later stage of the opening on my skin, but at the same time it masks it a bit with its solar and floral happy sweetness and distracts - the orange blossom helps with that. The citrusy grapefruit-bergamot reinforces the "toxic" hot asphalt effect here, being "sour rubber", and yes ambrarome is an ambergris note that also smells like leather or... tar! haha. They gotta keep it in the potion theme, more like poison theme. The ambrarome is beautiful in To Be Goodvibes giving that leather/smokey element of La Belle in a more delicate way than the vetiver/leather does. Police has an affinity for ambrarome and heliotrope in their scents and sometimes these notes can ruin a perfume if not paired properly. Like I said the rubber effect here is negligible on me, more like amusing, and masked by the surrounding notes (creamy peach, balsamic rose, orange blossom's solar waxiness) so I have to stick my nose to my skin to detect it and smile. So from the mess I described and dissected, at the projection I mainly smell the grapefruit-bergamot's fresh citrusy quality. Going back to comparing My Way..... Despite that small cacophony, I like this more than My Way because I LOVE weirdos and I find it less boring and not linear. I have a small bottle of My Way that I rarely reach for, even though it did impress me as a perfume at first due to the beautiful tuberose (fav note) and its creaminess for a slightly citrusy white floral, but I hadn't realized how citrusy and orange-blossom heavy it is till I compared it to this, Potion Love (wore on different arms). Potion Love has some citrus element as I said, but the peach renders it more creamy. The orange blossom is salty as always, as it is in My Way but more citrusy there, far less here. It is more prominent at the drydown on me and slightly spicy from the ambrarome. The opening of Potion Love is impressive, a blast of rich milky tuberose accompanied by freshness and sweet (waxy) orange blossom that is not yet salty, but subtly citrusy with the grapefruit-bergamot. The only downside is what I described above, the poisonous citrus-rubber nuance, but that's mainly detectable on my skin as we transition from opening to drydown. In the open air, the middle phase and drydown smell wonderfully balsamic almost like incense at times and the peach keeps it creamy (it works wonders as in The One to reinforce any balsamic or incense element). The very drydown is very ambergris-salty and orange blossom-sweet with a subtle sour tone and aromatic sweet rose amber traces. It does not project much unless I overspray, and does not last long, but longer than My Way. My Way is far more sour on me, less creamy, rose-free, non-balsamic, more simple and dry, no weirdness so kinda boring/flat to me. I just got a new addiction for sure. Arsenic is my new favorite though.

The opening is atrocious. What in the toxic rubbery hell? But. 20 - 30 minutes in, when whatever that was has cleared, you are left with a warm, pleasant scent, something sweet and floral. Perhaps not the most original fragrance out there, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I guess someone has to be a weird one, so here we go; to me it smells like wild strawberries concentrate, mixed with a touch of rose and sugar. Same with L'Interdit, but not as strong. The bottle is cute too.

I like this however the rose note is a little bit too much for me sometimes as i am not a fan of how rose smells like. For its price its a very good perfume. I mostly wear it when im home.

This is beautiful, sweet and vanilla-ish :) I would recommend, it's really a love :) You will feel playful and inspired :) Police and Trussardi are really underrated houses :)

I'd call it a light-hearted introduction to tuberose. The tuberose here is sill a bit bubblegumy, but fruity and airy at the same time. A fresh, juvenile, light perfume - I mostly wear it during the summer, to break the citrus or molecules routine. Also due to the fact it's on the weaker side - summer heat keeps it lingering slightly longer. When sniffed very close to skin, it hits you with this well known blast of cheap, synthetic musk + peach + orange blossom + perhaps ambroxan - maybe that's why some people say it reminds them of Valaya. It's OK around you though. I'd never ever wear it anywhere where I'd like to present a more refined taste. It's just a fun, girly daily perfume.

This perfume is a total disappointment and honestly, so boring. Looking at the bottle, you expect something really unique, but the result is a letdown. I was shocked and discouraged by how it smells exactly like the filling perfume my sister uses. Most people might like it, but to me, it’s just ordinary. Long story short, it's a boring tuberose fragrance. It lasts about 3-4 hours, and I think it’s strictly a summer scent. Even though I dislike the fragrance, I absolutely love the bottle.

I read someone commenting this smells like Armani My Way... Girl, I have that one and they have nothing in common. My Way smells like spring flowers, it is classy and it is 10/10 longlasting and luxurious feeling. However, this one smells like childish sweet-fruity artificial drink. It is too juvenile, I can't see the sinmilarities between both and they are not dupes at all...

Smells straight up like an apple peel. I am not sure what Police is copying this time, but I definitely smelled this before.

Genuinely my least favourite scent. This is the only perfume I'm gonna give away. Might be the sea scent that I dislike, but there's something rubbery, salty, yet floral about it. It's not a very repulsive scent but there's just something about it that nauseates me. I really tried liking it but I think it's just not for me.

To me this is a sweeter, less pungent and richer, creamier version of Kim Kardashian's first perfume or Michael Kors' Michael. It's the same tuberose but finer, creamier, less screechy and in your face. The scent is a fresh gourmand I'd say, with that tuberose delicately lingering on the skin throughout its duration. Most of my Police perfumes are quite strong, this one like To Be The Queen is almost a skin scent after a while, but totally ok and re-applicable due to the large size & good price. So no complaints about this aspect. Very beautifully done, feminine and quite exquisite I'd say. If the perfume series is Potion, this does fit the 'Love' addition as it's quite romantic and 'soft', in a way. Not sure about the other Potions, but I'm going to get them simply out of curiosity. Police has rarely disappointed me and pretty much everything I ever got from them was a hit.

Sweet. Very sweet. Has that kiddies cough mixture sweetness. Not a miway dupe. At all. The tuberose gives that similarity. Sweet fruits with flowers. Has a strong opening but settles and something kinda powdery sweet remains. For the price, I aint mad.

Is anyone familiar with potion for her? The red liquid one?
