To Be Woman

I considered buying this for months. I was first attracted to the cute bottle (im a fan of that) and then I liked that people said it was fresh and shampoo-like but still very sweet. The insanely cheap price was also very tempting. So I finally bought it and this is probably the most excited and satisfied i've ever been with a blind buy! It's sooo nicely sweet immeadiately, and the citrus gives it a beautiful freshness. When you get whiffs of it after spraying, that's when you detect the shampoo-smell and it's amazing. So fresh, but not too aquatic or green- it's like you're very clean and have used a beautiful sweet fruity shampoo earlier in the day. The candy smell is great, like the yellow or orange Starburst lollies, but because it's a citrus sweet, it's not cloying. It's refreshing and delicious. It lingers sweet for hours, lasting 5 hours or so on my skin, and I frequently smell it over those hours. Work safe and office safe as you could totally get away with people thinking you just use a sweet shampoo every morning. I am mostly mindblown by this fragrance because it was only $20 for 100ml, lasts a great amount of time for that price, and is a very versatile scent, for work, school, days out, at home, indoors, outdoors, anything! This will carry me like a delicious icy cool blanket through summer. Note to self: this is a little like SJP NYC edp and a LOT like the opening of Nina by Nina Ricci.

I'm surprised this is marketed towards women, this leans so masculine on me! I do have the kind of skin chemistry that loves to amplify woody/amber/etc notes though, so that could be why. It doesn't lean TOO masculine to make this unwearable on me though, I'd say this sits more in the unisex territory. It's sweet and citric for sure but it's also very woody, and surprisingly a bit earthy (more on that in a minute). Both the apple and lime are distinct but everything else is kind of hazy/abstract. Yes there's sweetness, woodiness, florals, but I couldn't tell you whether I'm smelling sandalwood or cedarwood, jasmine or magnolia, etc. On first application I thought to myself "oh, this actually has a kind of earthiness to it... interesting" and then cackled as I recalled @theriver's review. They're SPOT ON! You absolutely do get a sort of wet grass and mud effect. I think it's pleasant though! It's a bit too boring for me to want to keep around though. I think the fact it's not as sweet as I was expecting it to be is factoring into my lack of enjoyment. I'm gutted as this smelled wonderfully fruity, light and sweet on my friend!

I'm really in love with this perfume! It's really girly, fresh, young scent it reminds me a little bit of Chupa Chups lollipops without feeling of being too childish. I'm a fan of sweet perfumes and this one really appeals to me (and people around). The longevity on me is amazing, I used about 4 sprays in the morning (about 9:20) and I could smell it when I was back home (20:00). The bottle is original, it definitely drives your attention to it. Some people like it, some people don't, for me it doesn't really matter as long as I enjoy this scent which at some points also reminds me of sweet cocktail with refreshing lemon/lime and ice which is perfect on hot summer days.

I've had this perfume for a year. I really like the smell of it. It reminds me a little bit of Bath and Body Works Sweet on Paris, I always wish they made that into a EDT, or EDP, because the mist isn't strong enough for me. I prefer EDP over anything else. This scent isn't that unquie, but it's still one of my favorites. I love the skull bottle. The sillage, and longevity are really good. The Longevity is at least 4 hours. The sillage is moderate. This perfume is citrus, and candy like mostly. If your into sweet scents it's a must have. Overall I give the scent a 8/10.

You know what? I am going to be completely honest. I adore this perfume. It is such a safe spring-appropriate scent. On my skin it is a blast of bergamot and candy. The bergamot leaves the scent kind of bitter(kind of like lime peel) to contrast the sweetness of the candy. There is very little crispness from the apple. Maybe there is a tiny hint of it, but on my skin it is more creamy than anything. This perfume isn't classy or elegant. It is just a playful scent for the younger ladies. I'm reaching for this whenever I want something as inoffensive as possible.

Police is very nice and cheerful, for a good mood. It smells like a cocktail of some lime, clementine and sweets. For me it is very juicy and sweet, but well composed. Some claim the fragrance is for teenagers, but I think it is for any woman for day, not for evening. I really like this perfume and I can sniff it without end ... although I prefer it in winter than in summer. The fragrance softly developing, but unfortunately it is not long-lasting enough. As for the bottle, I like only its color;-)

Finally!!! I fresh, zingy, fruity fragrance that isn't sickly sweet!!! Body lotion is divine, and quickly absorbed that doesn't go sticky, and the perfume last for ages! Love, love, love this fragrance! Fantastic value for money (75ml for around £26, with the body lotion), a lovely everyday fragrance with lasting power!

A fresh, playful and sweet, casual scent. I am not too good in noticing various notes in perfumes, but this is an instant buy. Wanted to give it for my girlfriend for christmas, but the skull formed bottle is not a great surprise for this occasion in my opinion. A very nice perfume for young women, You have to try it.

Such a sweet candy-like fragrance, which is exactly what i've been looking for for a loooong time! Found this very cheap on amazon after smelling it in Superdrug and have fallen in love, definitely a cheaper option to other sweet smelling perfumes.

Very similar to Moschino Toy 2 Bubble Gum but not so chemically and harshly. Fresh citrus notes are also revealed, but the sweetness dominates them. The only thing I smell is a Moschino-like sweetness and a faint lime aroma. It's really good.

Fun pineapple like at first, lots of candies and some lovely flowers. It's sweet and giggly, not really mature at all but fun.

Police is an Italian brand that was founded in 1983 and has just begun its journey across the world of perfumery in 2003. Police To Be Woman is a fruity floral fragrance, with a musky tone and Eau de Parfum concentration. It has output notes of lemon, clementina and Granny Smith apple. For those who don't know, clementina is a hybrid species, resulting from the mixture of orange with the tangerine and, usually, do not brings seeds. It has sweet characteristic, is juicy and slightly acidic. In the heart, we have notes of white flowers allied with sweet notes, with caramelized and fruity content, very used in candies, lollipops, etc. Finally, precious woods and musk, constituting a more durable basis. The result is a fragrance of slightly citrus output, with great presence of the famous "gum smell", already known by women. However, the floral tone plays the essential part in the balance of this phase of evolution, anticipating a more neutral and slightly creamy basis, thanks to musk. Right off the bat, I confess that I thought only teenage girls as the main target audience of this perfume. But after 1 hour, I could imagine a vastness of women wearing it without problems. And the bottle is part of the visual identity of the entire line, in which the brand decided to combine their fragrances to the skull, a symbol of rebellion and transgression, which has been reinterpreted by young designers and also gaining space in the fashion world nowadays. And just between us, who said women's perfume has to come in a bottle shaped like a flower, heart or something typical of the feminine universe? Finally, just a simple spray on my skin demonstrated great sillage and lasting.

To Be Woman by Police is an exceptionally cheap perfume which is why I'm so pleasantly surprised. It cost me about $20 AUD for a 125ml bottle, and honestly, it's a pretty nice fragrance. I do find some of the notes hard to decipher (they all seem to blend into one), but I definitely detect a sweet, juicy apple. The skull shape of the bottle is misleading - it's an inoffensive fruity floral, so sweet it's almost candy-like, but overall a relatively safe blind buy for yourself or others. Nothing exceptionally remarkable or off-putting; an easy-to-wear everyday fragrance. Sillage and longevity are somewhat lacking, but that doesn't bother me too much given the price point. I like this fragrance and will continue to wear until the bottle runs out.

This is quite a lovely fruity floral and more than worth the bargain price! It starts out a bit harsh and chemically but quickly settles down into a soft, sweet fruity floral on a musky base. I even get some coconut, even though it's not listed. It's smells clean, aloft Le bit tropical, and casual and fun, but still sophisticated enough for casual wear. The longevity is really good for the price too! The only area in which it falls short is that it's a bit weak, you have to spray a lot, but that's not really a problem considering the low price. I can't call it a love quite yet, but it's definitely a strong like. I personally love the bottle too! Definitely a safe blind buy for fruity-floral/sweet scent fans.

Did not know what the right to make or nothing about it.But now I've tried it and like it, good for daytime, pretty easy doft.Fått question about what it is for something, then people wonder what kind of perfume I'm wearing.! But it will not last long, but you have to spray on a bit now and then, so that's fine. The bottle is not the sole thing, but what does it do when it smells good!! really recommended! feel citrus o apple, I feel a touch of blackcurrant ... but that's not it then

light and sweet with some fresh sharpness and a fleeting spice. mainly citrus, generic sweetness & white flowers. sure, it’s not super unique or high-end. the notes get muddled and are more accord than note, but you’re not going to find anything else this cheap. it’s a step above body-sprays and it’s so worth it if you like this scent. great, likable wearable perfume for teenagers (a vibe enhanced by the bottle design) and such a good deal.

Just got this, at first spritz (and 5mins+) it smells just like Dior Addict - Shine! I wanted the Dior but felt it didn't have staying power for the price. If this one does, it will be a firm favourite. Citrusy, light, crisp yet sweet - a hint of D&G Light Blue-ness in there. Just wonderful. I think the skull is darling, the juice is more purple in life. It's so refreshing. Excellent pricing too. I got mine for £16 (40mls).

Light summer scent. I find it interesting but nothing new. I can detect tangerine and apples and after few minutes I smell little plastic sweetness. But nothing which could annoy me. It ́s sweet but not too much, I expect something sexy and daring but unfortunately it doesn ́t go this way. The bottle is really nice. Would be funny to take it off from handbag :DD Over and over give it a try. The price is good..

Uff, I expected this to be better! It smells so artificial. It's basicaly a lime with synthetic sweeteners. Lasting power is almost zero, so really not worth it. I am almost done with my bottle though as I was using it as a room spray almost everyday, as I wanted to get through it as soon as possible. So not a terrible fragrance but no way near outstanding.

I had to get this because of the skull bottle and it was 50% off. Overall it's a nice refreshing scent for the summer; it's sweet but not overwhelming as it's well-balanced by the citruses. However, sillage and longevity are poor for an EDP. I can barely smell it on myself after 2 hours :(

Very sweet scent, but with some tartness or sourness (probably because of lime and clementine). Young and playful, quite strong to me. Not bad price, but bottle design doesn't please my eye. But, still I really like this, even it's not unique, similar scents can be found.

En mi piel lo cítrico pasa desapercibido, se nota mucho la manzana y lo dulce. Es verdad que huele un tanto sintético sobretodo en sus notas de salida, pero es una fragancia agradable, para uso diario y con animo juvenil!

I expected something much more musky and dark, but instead it's very light fruity scent, almost citrusy to me. Nothing super special but it's not that bad either and I really like the bottle.

Really like this perfect to spray when on the go as it’s non offensive and smells clean and fresh definitely a repurchase as it’s so so easy to wear

I tried this one yesterday and I like it! It's fresh and feminine...i smell lemon and candy...of course nothing extremally new, but nice!

On me this smells like Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana, only a little bit sweeter, it works well with my body chemistry.. So i love it

I just love this sweet fragrance. Also the skull is very beautiful, this picture doesn't do it justice.

EdP: The opening consisted of sweet notes combined with (bitter, maybe it was from the alcohol?) orange/clementine skin and white flowers. I wouldn't say it's a good fruity... It's similar to average perfumes with a fruity twists. Some fragrances by Escada is similar to this: they both seem to be "related" to Paradiso by Bi-es. Poor lasting in the air, the notes seems to be weak but the alcohol is strong/intensive/rich. I think it suits all seasons but winter. It's both a day and a night scent depending on what you're doing. Since the sillage is moderate, it should more likely be worn at home than at a party, but of course; if this is someone's signature then I guess it's a good idea to wear it whenever that person wants to wear it. I have to mention that I'm slightly shocked that people have voted that it's similar to one of Shakira's perfumes (Aphrodisiac Elixir)... Partly because the notes are different... The only thing I really like is the bottle. I love the "lock" on the cap. Not a fan of purple but this one is nice and I love transparent colors, however I think a pink bottle would fit the idea of the fragrace better. A light pink bottle with yellow, "childish" flowers. Cute but an discreet indication that it's... Playful. BUT compared to other bottles that doesn't fit the scent, this one isn't that bad... It's pretty and seems to suit the brand (since they've used a skull before). EdP: 2.5/10 Lotion: 3.5/10

To me this smells like plastic,spice,milky or musky? I do not care for it,hoping for lime&didn't get that at all,skin scent that's okay for price,maybe stronger bodyspray,love their bottles,but it's just spicy milky plastic,makes me wanna gag. I love to be a queen more out of 3 I blind bought to be honest. I love to try new things so atleast on this one I have a pretty purple 💀 💫💜bottle, haha,I'll try others maybe.lasts as a scent 3-6 hrs as skin scent.

At first this smells lime candied lime with woodsy notes &its not bad,then hours later it smells like awkward pencil shavings lasts very very long as a noticeable skin scent,I bought for the bottle 💀💜☠️without smelling,so it works~on my dresser ~ 🪞 ~when I'm in A stranger things mood I where it hehe

it's too sweet for me. I love fruity sweet, but this is more the artificial sugar cupcakes kind of sweet. really wanted to like the scent because i LOVE the bottle...

Tart & Fruity Granny Smith Apples... Opens with a tart, fruity-citrus burst of apple, lime & tangerine, but the way the fruits are blended here reads like the tart, baking apples - Granny Smith apples. This sweetens as it transitions to the heart, with some floral notes. This is inspired by Nina Nina Ricci, but the way the florals are done here in the heart may also remind some of Pink Friday Nicki Minaj. Although this is inspired by Nina Nina Ricci, it's softer and less tart, although more tart than Eclat d'Arpège Lanvin - in between these two for tartness, and much less tart and intense than Shaghaf Woman (which has also been compared to Nina Nina Ricci). Although this sweetens into the heart, it doesn't go all the way to apple-pie filling, staying more fresh, with the base notes being supporting players. Performance is moderate for a spring-summer wearing experience, but it could be layered over it's matching body lotion for year-round wear. Fans of tart & fruity scents might like this affordable & wearable scent. Sometimes tart scents can overwhelm me with their tartness, but this retains a nice freshness. It's a solid like from me. This is such a simple, yet gorgeous scent. Albeit, I may be a bit biased as it is very close to Nina (2006) which is my signature scent, but the dry down of this perfume is perhaps superior to that of Nina. It starts with the the goodness of citrus and apples. The sweetness in this perfume is just right, it's not strong, cloying or nausea inducing, probably as this perfume has no vanilla. The floral notes are weak and if someone else were to smell it on you, they would only smell the citrusy sweetness. Where this perfume fails is in its longevity. I can barely smell it after 3 hours or so, unless I have my nose pressed to where I sprayed it. Despite being an EDP, it's not too strong or in your face. I wish this lasted longer though. But it's a lovely and inoffensive scent, that can pretty much be worn anywhere and all year round.

Long time ago, I used to work in various drugstores around my city. Every weekend, I was at a different location. Usually there was not much to do during my shifts and I had to stay on the floor the whole time. Bored into oblivion with no customers to speak to, I was sniffing all the perfumes that had testers available. My nose was becoming really tired and confused and everything was one, smelly blur. Yet still, this fragrance happened to stand out. One part of it was definitely the bottle design, that I found (and still do) quite tasteless. Another thing was the smell itself. I found it very synthetic. Sort of between cheap candies and floor cleaner. As I mentioned, I smelled dozens of perfumes and yet, this one stood out so much I still remember it. A big no for me.

Declutter/Shop My Shelves #7: To Be Woman This is one of the ones where I wonder if I got a bad bottle--sometimes I buy blind but testers for a chemist that sells them with proceeds for charity, so maybe it was left in direct light and died. I don't get any of the tart notes, no similarity to Nina or Leclat de Arpegé, just generic fruity floral that hardly lasts, lik a perfume marketed to little girls. I can't imagine reaching for it over anything else in my collection. Verdict: declutter

For me, this fragrance is mostly apples and candies and I love it. It's a very good summer/spring scent and keeps you fresh throughout the day. The citrus whiffs once in a while smell good. This is definitely a deal for such a low price. The sillage and longevity are great. 4-5 sprays around the neck stay for the whole day and I've gotten quite a lot of compliments for this one. I couldn't believe such a fruity juicy exists in that badass skull bottle. Gotta love that!

Skin test to be woman. Ah yes, thisbis familiar. I have not worn the other fragrances on the "smells like" list fir years, i would add though that To Be woman is in the same vein as Ana Sui.. could be Sui dreams.. aqua green juice anyhow, though to be is less zesty. A very easy and pleasant scent. On my sleeve there's there's a creaminess to the rounded juicy (not syruppy) fruit notes, the apple I think tempers the sweetness. Fresh, shampooey, apply, really nice.

At first I found this purely fruity and floral. Thought to myself it could easily be a celebrity fragrance. Reasonably strong so I do keep smelling that one spray on me. On the dry down however, I have to agree that it reminds me of Nina but I feel like it's a cross between Nina & Prada candy. It has a candy note rather than Pradas caramel but combined with the musk I do find them reminiscent of each other.

Ok, first the bottle is totally ugly, tacky,Inner strength,, sexiness, nice but a skull!!? but it is my opinion!! then the scent is a fruity scent, actually nice. I am wearing the sample and I like it, it is juicy , not overdone, I detect nice musky notes, I would actually wear this, I like the juiciness in the too notes, and the scent isn't too girlish, or too young.. Appealing, fresh, nice.

I was expecting something with a lot more attitude, considering the superb bottle! But it is actually quite harmless. As someone said, there is Light Blueness there definitely (and consequently Yves Rocher Naturelle which is very like D&G LB). Top notes were really interesting and promising, very tangerine, but then it settled into a sweet, sweet appley scent.

I am a lover of all things gourmand and sweet, and this.... doesn't work. Too much sharp citrus fruit and no sweet for me. Does indeed smell like Nina, which I didn't like either. Since I adore skulls and have the 4.2 oz of this, I'll try it on my skin next time (used a kleenex to test) and maybe it will be okay. Def smells like a cleaning product. :(

a very simple fragrance, fun to wear, inoffensive, office safe and a safe blind buy. It is fresh, a good little greenish fruity-floral with slight aquatic undertones, I really enjoy it. It can be worn by women of all ages and I think it can make a very good first perfume for a teenager. The bottle is so adorable too. A great perfume for the vallue.

I love this. It's like a sweeter version of light blue but much, much cheaper, but doesn't smell cheap atall. It's extremly fresh and also has something about it like fresh laundry, Like you're walking around in summer, wearing clothes fresh from the washing line. It also makes me feel thirsty! it's like a delicious lemon and apple cocktail.mmmmm

This is so fresh lime, Then sweet, then floral. Smells exactly like ck in2u for her on me. Not bad for the price. I pictured Italy or spain in the summer with lemon trees and sunny beaches. Found out it's made in Italy! No wonder! Edit: the drydown smells like a citrusy mix between VS bombshell and JC Viva La Juicy.

Every once in a while I just have to buy something blind... This is my recent blind shot. It is surprisingly nice. Very fruity, crispy fragrance. Tons of juicy fruits. Good for spring- summer and for younger users. Sillage is pretty good, lasting power- pretty poor. Nice scent in an awful bottle.

Not bad, but nothing special. Nice sweet fragrance with soft sillage and weak longevity but due to the low price and the lack of complexity of the layers it can be reapplied frequently. I hate the bottle though, its nor feminine nor sophisticated enough for such an extravagant design
