Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger

Somehow I can understand the hate on Infusion De Fleur D'Oranger; simply: women's "ruined" taste on perfume. Not bashing anyone's taste. But, if you break it down, it leads there; women are so addicted to fruity cake-like perfumes that when they actually smell a real flower centered perfume they are appalled. Flower notes are used in gourmand perfumes too, sure, but they are not the center, and they barely stand in the background, not really present. So what I'm saying is that women, well at least of my generation, (I'm 25) cannot appreciate white flowers because they haven't learned them first place. Personally, balsamics is my thing but as it's sometimes unbearable to wear a balsamic thick juice in the summer, Infusion De Fluer D'Oranger is one option that I seriously consider. For some, it's soapy, for others it's a powdery mess, for me it's two things: for the first half of wear time it's the definition of the procedure of ironing sheets, the steam plus the laundry being ironed. For the second half of wear it is the walls of the ballet school I would attend from 4 years old until 7. Walls, corridors, barre, you name it, the scent was everywhere! Not just some specific flowers, but the whole blend, the combination. Maybe my dance teacher was wearing a similar blend or the room refreshers were alike; Do not care. It's a haunting scent. Not even remotely sweet, lightly citrusy and for just some minutes, clean, sour, bitter and slightly medicinal at times. Not groundbreaking by any means, but not your typical powder either. Soapy not in a hand-soap way, but totally detergent-like. Funny thing: I sprayed liberally on my skin, so I know if a fragrance works for me for sure, (no need for much from Infusion De Fluer D'Oranger) and after a fair amount of testing time (it lasted approximately six hours) I went to shower and specifically used a cherry scented soap in order to counteract the perfume notes. Not only wasn't the perfume washed off, but it was rather intensified. Can't wait for summer and wear it at the beach! A yes from me

To start .... it was a blind purchase for me without testing before or reading any comment . I had no time at that moment that I bought it , to make a research if this fit me or not . Being a fan of lnfusion d'lris just thought that I would like even this version . Personally l think now it was a little more than a pleasant surprise!!! The white flowers are what attract me more in perfumes and I like to reveal them in different variants . Recently, I was very overwhelmed by some of the heavy oriental fragrances l used . This discovery was for me as a rainbow after the rain , made me feel comfortable , clean and delicate at the same time without disconnecting from my favorite category of white flowers . Neroli and Orange flowers are making the opening in a subtle , delicate and very pleasant way . Tuberose comes to give this perfume a sense of depth in creamy way and not overhelming as usual is tuberose in most of the perfumes l have smelled. Jasmine is not sharp but just enough to give a sense of purity and soapy , the same feeling as you just come out of the shower and it lasts all day l am wearing it. For this reason I like it more than the original lnfusion d'lris because it is exactly what l want and in the same time is still on the original line of lnfusions variations ...powdery-soapy-soft-delicate. Another thing I was impressed is that this perfume works perfect with my chemistry and lasting power on my skin is amazing until the next day . l am very surprised readind that on others doesn't last . On my skin this version last more than lnfusion d'lris and is more noticable by me , l mean l can smell it all the day without putting my nose on the skin to sniff it. This is sensual, soft , feminine like skin scent but with moderate sillage . This is what makes me feel pure, clean , sexy with a touch of soft flowers in the precious moments ...

Didn’t expect it, but I’m in love! I was just looking for something fresh and light — the kind of scent that feels like clean skin after a warm shower — when the sales assistant handed me this. The pink bottle and first spray instantly made me think, nah, not my thing. But then I smelled it... and honestly, I couldn’t walk out without it. It’s soft, airy, like a breeze through white curtains on a slow morning. Smells a bit like those old-school bar soaps from childhood — the good kind — mixed with this quiet, sunny warmth that’s hard to put into words. Even though it leans slightly feminine, it still feels completely wearable for me as a cis masculine presenting guy. I’ve worn it a few times to work and got more compliments and curious “what are you wearing?” than ever before. It never screams, never offends, just floats around you gently, like you’ve got your life together. Sure, I wish it lasted more than half a day, but I don’t even mind reapplying. It just makes me feel calm, clean, a little bit glowy. It really works — for me, anyway. And I adore it.

Love this perfume! The scent is refreshing, beautiful and floral. I mainly smell the orange blossom and neroli and not much else which I don't mind because the combination of those two components make for one gorgeous smell. It is a day scent worn best in the spring or summer months. This will always be special because my husband got it for me for Valentines Day this year. ***Update***Just got the full bottle in the mail today and I almost returned it. It smelled too much like shampoo when I sprayed it on my clothes and I did not like it. I finally sprayed it on my skin and what a difference! On my skin, I could smell the orange blossom, neroli, jasmine and a little bit of the mandarin orange. So I am definitely going to keep it because it smelled great on my skin. I will just have to remember not to spray it on my clothes.

This was love from the first moment it hit my skin. As Infusion d'Iris was very sharp and sour, my hopes regarding Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger were extremely low. It did start a little sharp on my skin but unlike any other perfume I ever tried it melted onto me, leaving an addictive scent of freshness. The scent didn't change much even after a couple of hours out on a very hot and humid street. It weakened but only a little bit - so staying power is very good. I noticed it changes dramatically when it touches the skin. While on my skin it became quite sweet, my friends got a very sharp and somewhat unpleasant scent on theirs. I think it's a good choice of perfume for women who try to give out a "strong" vibe, rather than a "sexy" one. It's not sweet, not comforting nor sedvctive, but very clean, fresh and dry.

Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger is lovely, definitely soapy, clean, and simply wonderful. I can't say that it shatters any boundaries or redefines my perceptions of what a great fragrance is, but I still love it. The fragrance definitely has the aura of good quality. I think the tuberose gives the perfume a certain depth, and while it is noticeable it doesn't overpower the orange blossom. Jasmine is clean and adds to the soapiness. Thankfully this isn't an overwhelming white flower bomb. It is a gentle caress, a spring breeze that carries the promise of summer riding on its coat tails, a soft, alluring femininity. I only have a 1.7 ounce, and while I would repurchase it, that probably won't happen since to my knowledge it is no longer in production. I will enjoy my bottle to the very last drop.

I'm usually not a fan with anything with tuberose in it, but this is gorgeous! A fresh, citrusy take on a classic old-fashioned vintage powder scent. It's a lot less stuffy and aristocratic than Infusion d'Iris, but it's just as clean and timeless. Citrus scents just feel less outdated than vintage cosmetic notes like violet or iris, so this is a good thing to try if you like Infusion d'Iris but find it to be a little too old fashioned. It manages to not smell like a cleaning product either, which is a hard feat for a soapy citrus scent to do. I'm impressed by how much I love it, usually tuberose + jasmin smells like rotting funeral flowers to my nose! Very youthful and easy to wear, though it definitely doesn't last.

This is a gorgeous fragrance. I live in Florida and this is a very refreshing scent for living here. The Orange blossoms, jasmine and tuberose are wonderful. It reminds me of a fragrance that would have been worn by the Victorian ladies of yesteryear as they were sitting for tea all corseted with their lace high collared long ruffled dresses. I see them wearing their gaudy rings and big cameo brooches out on their open air verandas overlooking one of the beautiful lakes here in Florida. Classy and dignified are the two words that describe this organic smelling fragrance in my opinion. It is definitely one of my favorites! 10/10

Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger is a favorite of mine. I remember when I was first introduced to it - I went to my perfume retailer and it was sprayed on me vigourously by an over-enthusiastic employee and I was furious! I went home eager to scrub off the over-abundance of this fragrance and a miracle happened - it had morphed into a beauty, a modern stunning and sophisticated scent. I raced back to the store and bought it - much to the delight of the eager employee. Definately worth trying - give it a few minutes to calm down and the beauty will emerge!

Smells wonderful. Imagine a freshly showered body standing in the middle of a field of orange blossoms on a warm sunny day. In a word, this is what sunshine smells like. Very pleasant and safe to wear anytime/anywhere. Prada is one of my favorite brands with Absolue and this one being pretty close to the top. I like the Iris EDP also. The new Amande also smells very nice. This one goes in my top 5 for sure!

A pure crystalline scent, fresh, makes you feel clean and yet something different and special. Their bitter orange notes, a touch woody and fresh fragrance make this a daily-use light. I use it during the day and always ask me why I carry, it leaves a trail in the air really unmistakable. Its duration is too high and its attachment, but not overbearing, pleasant even for unisex use.

The very best flancer to Prada Infusion d'Iris so far, more "fun" than Infusion d'Iris, and already discounted! Well, I have an almost full bottle, to enjoy during my future summers! Den absolut bästa flankern till Prada Infusion d'Iris hittills, mera levnadsglad än d'Iris, och redan borta från hyllorna! This perfume seems to be a love/ hate scent. A lot of mixed reviews. I'm in love with this scent. It stays fresh and true on my skin and I can pick out all the individual notes. It doesn't turn at all soapy on my skin. This is what Armani Code smells like from the description of others. On me it's a beautiful , sexy scent which has gained me compliments and no wrinkled noses.

Sparkling orange blossom scent, happy and uplifting. On me, no iris, no soap, just joyful orange blossom morphing into a white bouquet, neither dominant in jasmine nor tuberose. First perfume my 20 something son ever complimented me on. Sunny but not sugary sweet. Average longevity in my arid climate. The first citrus genre I've been attracted to.

When I bought this one, I didn't know it was a limited edition...now I've half bottle and I use it only in special days, causa i'd like it'll never and! I've also Infusion d'iris and I think that they're not similar, but both expecial: this one is floral, feminine and extremally fine...I love neroli and so I cant stop loving this!!!

When I first smelled this it made me swoon. Orange blossoms in the spring transport me and the world is beautiful again. Fleur d'oranger is the best neroli I have met. Nothing fake or synthetic about it. Sumptuous beauty in a bottle. Not too tart, not too sweet. Perfect, just as if nature made this one too.

What a delicious summer fragrance! It is reminiscent of the summer nights in Florida filled with the delicate scent of orange blossom flowers! Infusion de Fleur d'Orange is delightful, soft, and refreshing. If you like Claus Porto citrus soaps, then you will adore this lovely Prada confection :)

update: i sprayed this one more time to see what the hype is about besides it being a good quality and classy scent..... It's nice but honestly to me it smells like expensive bar soap. the kinds that are organic ingredients. Maybe my olfactory senses are not yet refined enough....

I bought it just because I love Infusion d'Iris and thought it would be something similar. Alas, I was wrong. It's not my cup of tea. Too dense, soapy, and powdery to me. Found nothing refreshing about it. The only consolation is that I bought it discounted at ROSS.

@JImbonA583BG No, because of the tuberose note which is very dominant in this Prada's version of orange blosson, and yhat means it's very feminine. But if you like white florals, then you should try. I eman the first edition with the green floral box ...

Bought this for my Mom for Christmas, she loves it! I love it too is smells great on my skin and yes it is a bit soapy but it mellows down, I think this is a wonderful fresh white floral fragrance! Will have to steal a few sprays when I go to visit!

STUNNING. This is what ysl cinema wanted to be. Powdery, soapy, clean and citrusy. Like eating slices of oranges atop a cloud. There is a vintage, grandma’s soap and vanity drawer aspect to this that I just adore. It’s so comforting and pretty.

Its a very calming and powdery perfume. The Orange blossom smells very true. The design of the bottle is classy and pretty. The sillage is good. Dont know yet about the lasting Properties. All in all a peaceful yet happy spirited fragrance.

Gorgeous! Almost edible without being gourmand. Both creamy and powdery. The orange blossom is waxy and airy. I think those juxtapositions/contradictions are what I love so much -- it's just perfectly balanced. Comforting, clean, luscious.

Truly summery perfume! Sicilian garden at sunset...perfectly blended fragrance.I am not fan of florals,but this one is amazing-subtle and warm with great staying power.No sweetness in it,I will try to wear this in hot weather

A modern take on an orange blossom scent. Very light, very stylish, very minimalist, very Prada. If you're looking for an uncommon fleur d'oranger perfume, look no further :) Personally, I don't know anything similar to this.

when i first tested it, i was disappointed bc it smelled so 'average' for a $100 perfume. but the drydown was so pretty. soft, slightly powdery, expensive, classy, elegant. it's TOO classy for me.

There is something about this perfume that reminds me of the scent of olive oil soap. Since I love to use olive oil in my hair and on my skin, this is winner for me. Soft,soapy,and pretty.

Amazing, complete accord of freshness. Prada infusions are different notes from the same compostions. Clean, mesmerasing and calming. Simply wonderful.

I just accidentally won this in an Ebay auction for an amazing price, 90% full, and I couldn't be happier. I initially thought I was bidding on Infusion d'Iris Absolu, as it was listed as Prada Infusion d'Iris Absolu Fleurs d'Oranger. As it turns out, I forgot I bid on it and purchased a different bottle outright. I REALLY have no need for 2, but I went through with purchasing it anyway, figuring I could use it to swap. After I paid for it, I read the description on the confirmation page, and it said Infusion d'Fleur de Oranger!. I sent the seller a message asking to clarify but I am 95% certain it is! Anyway, I actually had this when it first came out. My husband bought it for me, again by accident, as what I had asked for was Id'I!! Well, I ended up enjoying it anyway, and wore it to work every day. It was so light and subtle, a bit more citrus than I would have normally gravitated towards but pretty nonetheless. I was a notice, so I didn't know much about top notes, middle, etc. I just knew what I liked, and I liked this. However, it seemed to disappear so quickly and I was disappointed. As it turns out, I quickly became anosmic to it, and though I couldn't smell it, others could - not in an obnoxious way, but in a pleasant-to-sit-next-to way. I was completely blown away one afternoon. It was late in the day, probably close to 5 pm, and I had last applied it about 8 am. I was meeting a client for the first time, and as I leaned towards her for a handshake, she asked me the name of the gorgeous perfume I was wearing. It was still noticable almost nine hours later! So the point of this long and rambling story is that for the second time in my life, IdFO came into my life serendipitously, as if we were meant to be together, and my second point is don't immediately discard this as a low silage/poor longevity fragrance. You may find yourself surprised by its durability! I am hoping it still smells as good to me as I thought it did back in the day, but I am optimistic because now I actually do have IdI EDP and Absolu, as well as Infusion d'Tuberose, and I enjoy all of them immensely. Oh, and BTW - my bottles are all pre reformulation, if that matters to anyone!

I’m a sucker for orange blossom and neroli. And I can shoot myself for not finding it sooner, like at the beginning of summer. The sales gals at Nordstrom’s even stopped talking to me as I made a beeline for a spritz whenever I happened by, just didn’t want to fork out the dough. But did I need another? I did when I found it marked down at Marshalls. No excuses about affordability anymore! I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on this limited edition! It has a wonderfully bright, happy orange blossom with a bitter citrus opening that announces, “hello, here I am!” It settles quickly as the jasmine and tuberose weave into the mix pushing the citrus into the background all the while keeping the orange blossom and neroli front and center. There is a hint of powder too. I like that the tuberose and jasmine are not too in your face and that the orange blossom is the star and smells genuine. It’s not a loud fragrance. After the opening settles down it becomes a soft, light and close to the skin scent after 15-20 minutes. It sticks around about 4-5 hours max on me. I think someone would have to be really up in your personal space to take notice though. And even though it’s a floral, it does have a clean, fresh and out of the shower vibe to it.

I think I wore this at the right time, it's a very warm spring day, unseasonably so. I expect this would be fitting on a more mild spring day (it feels like summer currently), but it's nice to know that it doesn't get overwhelming in the heat at all...it blossoms even further! This is simple, but done well. It's a light orange blossom, but the blend of neroli with jasmine (I don't smell tuberose personally, and if it's here, it's faint) is technically perfect. It allows more dimension to the orange blossom, follows suit, but yet allows the primary flower to remain the centerpiece. It's well executed, because it has the restraint to not drown the orange blossom out, but yet it isn't a soliflore. As with most orange blossom scents, this is soapy to me, but in a lovely way. It's clean, classic and there aren't any surprises here. It's pretty safe. I really like this, it borders on love. I do wish the longevity was a bit better though (and that the price tag was lower). Still, I'm enjoying my sample a LOT in today's weather ☀️🏵

Soapy is the word, yes. Good quality soap, the kind you'd find in a high-end organic products sort of shop, so in fact there's something appealing about it. I think if you needed to feel freshly showered and calm, this perfume would be your friend. It's a small step forward from eau de cologne and more floral I can definitely see the appeal of Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger. Imagine it's mid-summer and you're at some kind of cultural conference or packed seminar, surrounded by well-dressed, well-educated people, Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger would be just right - soapy, pretty and completely inoffensive, the tangy/milky/sweet orange blossom is uplifting, not at all heavy It will make you smell completely 'together', though it maybe lacks intrigue. After wearing it for a few days it did grow on me, I like it!

I blind bought this because I got a great deal and because I own Prada Amber which I think is a spectacular well made scent. This is nice but to my nose not much different from Fragonard Fleur d'Oranger or Fragonard Fleur d'Oranger Intense. The only differences I can discern is Fragonard adds musk to the base of both their perfumes and honey is added in Fragonard Fleur d'Oranger (not intense version) which adds a hint of sweetness. Other than that they share many of the same notes (citrus, neroli, orange blossom, jasmine) and smell so much alike (soapy florals) that if you have any one of them you really don't need the other. All seem to have good longevity and silage. Of course, the other major difference is the price. Fragonard is considerably cheaper than Prada.

I love this scent, I would even say it is one of my favorites . Unfortunately it does not have any sillage even less longevity on me. Strangely enough, in my bathroom the scent lingers for hours after i sprayed it on. Soapy ? I guess, that would make one awesome soap ! I'll have no problem to smell" soapy ", fresh, clean and as this fragrance . Not powdery at all nor stuffy, sultry , generic, that what I loved about this scent, a white flower symphonie without the induced headache . No musk , rose , violet, iris ext the powdery scents masters, absence of which might also be the unfortunate why this gorgeous fragrance does not have any "hold" on my skin. It has been discontinued , the "Great Trend" of our times which is BTW madly annoying !

A delightful orange blossom heaven Infusion de Fleur d`Oranger truly is. It smells quite lemony for a minute or two, then it smooths down to a very elegant yet youthful floral scent with lots, lots, lots of sweet orange blossoms in it. As it dries down, a shot of tuberose/amber(?) swoops in and stays well-balanced in the base that gives this otherwise rather single-sided scent a very pleasant powdery edge. This is a special scent that almost quarantees good impressions, just like the stylish bottle it is in: graceful, discret and absolutely chic.

This is a very lovely fragrance. On dry down I get mainly neroli and rounded out by orange blossom. The white floral is there but is just a faint top note. I would prefer this as a candle rather than wearing it. It has a room fragrance vibe more than a perfume. I agree with the other reviewers on lasting power/sillage. You really would need to overspray. When I first tried it I did my standard 1 spray on the wrist and touched one wrist to the other. The scent faded within about 30 minutes when applied like this--barely a skin scent.

One of my favorites. soapy & slightly powdery straight up orange blossom with the tiniest hint of white floral ( thank god the white florals are barely noticeable). I layer this with a few male scents I own and it turns them into unisex unique loveliness. I also layer with several woody femme perfumes. It is my secret weapon, and I'm on my 3rd bottle after only one year of buying my first bottle. I don't wear this by itself, because it's nothing out of this world but it's great to use for layering.

The addition of jasmine and tuberose add a touch of sweetness to the neroli and orange blossom. It is pretty and I am enjoying my .27 oz bottle but it dries down to the same sharp soapy base that I get with all of the infusions. I just don't think the infusions work well with my skin chemistry. I like the Infusion de Mimosa and the d'Iris also but they all seem to have the same DNA in the base. Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it but I have so many other perfumes that work better for me.

This infusion used to give me a headache a couple of years ago, so i gave it away to a friend. Now i have it back and realise it's still a bit heavy.. It's very warm, clean, flowery by all means and bold! I'd say it's for people who wouldn't wear discrete perfumes, they'd rather have them loud and clear! I think i prefer Prada Infusion pour Homme, of all the infusions... Too many flowers mess with my head in the femme versions, i'm afraid.. (not having smelled the infusion de rose, however)!

If you're expecting the sharp, fresh clarifying quality of pure neroli oil, this is not the perfume for you. Instead, Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger is indeed what its name promises, an abundance of wonderful orange blossoms. The drydown is full of waxy petals, somewhat soapy with a smattering of lipstick. Jasmine contributes to the rich floral infusion while tuberose lends some of its headiness tinted with clean green. Full, beautiful, and a buxomly gorgeous floral--simply divine!

This is a very pretty and gentle orange blossom scent. It's all about the blossom; very little fruit. The scent stays blossomy the whole time but goes a little too heavy on the powder for my taste. My mom loves this scent & she is not a perfume wearer. This reminds her of her wedding day. She had orange blossoms in her bouquet & in her headband/veil. This would be a lovely wedding day fragrance. It's close to the skin but projects just enough & is gentle. Lovely scent.

I bought it many years ago in Rome on a vacation, when my boyfriend and I was still newly in love. To me it smells like summer i Italy! It's warm, floras and citrussy in the orange way.... It was discontinued, and after finishing the bottle I search a long time for a new, found it, and still have almost full 100 ml. I actually don't like it anymore, but I can't give it away, because it will always remind me of that magic vacation many years ago :)

This is a clean and floral fragrance. The main and only note I really got was the orange blossom, which smelled soapy (but in a good way). It's quite fresh too, so it's perfect to wear on a hot day after a nice shower. The performance disappointed me, though. It sat really close to my skin the whole time, and it was gone within two hours. This makes this fragrance a little overpriced imo. 6.5/10. The scent is an 8, but the performance is a 5.

I amagine a shy, but intelligent girl in a 50s flowery dress, on her Way to the library to find an old romantic novel. She loves poems and polite people and has few, but close friends. Her grandmother just passed away and she wears her flowery, soapy fragrance with pride and melancholy. Everytime she uses it she feels soft and good hearted, just like her granny was. She only uses this fragrance when the world feels safe enough to be fragile💗

I love this fragrance, it’s one of my favorite.. it’s a very light scent, white florals, orange blossom and neroli it’s what I normally smell from this. I smell a tiny bit of tuberose but just hints of it. This is very intimate scent, no one smells it one me which is the only downside. I wish I could share how soft and sweet this smells with others. I love to wear this is the spring and summer months.

I liked at first smell. Floral and not at all bitter. After a few minutes it smelt soapy but still with a bit of sweetness. I liked it fine but it's not a great love. I think if it was less soapy and more fresh, I could move it to the love stack. D'Oranger has great staying power. It's 12 hours later and the scent still lingers when I put my wrist close to my nose and I applied very little for test.

Soapy goodness! I like the floral cleanliness of this fragrance, but it's very weak and disappears quickly! It usually takes me around 4 months to finish 50ml, but this surely will not take more than 2 months as I'll have to spray it every hour. They were not kidding when they called it "ephemeral". I'll stick to my Infusion d'Iris, since that is gorgeous and lasts quite a while on me.

A floral-forward, powdery and soapy take on orange blossom. Lasts longer than its iris sister from the same line, and at the very least differs from the commerically popular candy-like orange blossom scents. It doesn't really have an edge to it, except its heady floral quality. Probably a very safe bet for daily/office wear, if you love soapy white florals.

This is a very clean soapy scent. Reminds me of the "cologne" they have everywhere in Turkey. (just a alchohol based scented disenfectant everyone uses to keep clean and smell clean). Its also slightly creamy and smells very citrusy without being edible. Definitely like you just took a shower with orange scented products then sprayd a white flower perfume.
