Infusion de Vanille

Brought (22W31C1, made in France) I blind buy this because I came across the great deal. I notice the Vanilla and Powdery note at first I think something like musk fragrance but instead powdery vanilla. (Sort of Allure Homme Blanche). Oh boy, how much can I be wrong? This is still very same with other soapy Prada (Iris, Iris cedre). But it doesn't smell pierced, like Iris base. Instead, it is a very soft but strong Semi-yellow/White floral soapy fragrance. It opens with citrus for a minute then it becomes strong creamy soap (not very sweet). With Vanilla nuance, vanilla is not sweet but definitely vanilla. what I pick-up next is Semi-yellow/White, I feel it is White Ylang Ylang. Almost mildly Frangipani but not. It is more White Ylang Ylang to my nose. That smoke note do add the soapiness it's not a dark smoke but more like White smoke add some dept. to the fragrance. As Time progress It's become more powdery than soapy. still have the soapy aspect. The Vanilla baby powder. Not bad, but not the best either. This fragrance dry down completely at 4 hours mark. Leaving totally powdery Vanilla (think of Cocoa in Dior Homme but it's vanilla instead). I really enjoy this, this is like 2nd Skin but creamy vanilla. I know this is a bit fictional but I think this is what Candor Faction in Divergent (I know it's a bad movie) would wear, very clean - neutral - minimal as possible. and I feel like I smell something like this in Soap before, you know the brand that age a bit. But I can't exactly pin-point. I will comeback here if I can finally remember. for now, I would rate this 9.5 / 10 - It is very Prada Infusion. And I finally figure it out... This smell like lite resort hotel ivory frangipani soap, the kind of OG 90’s scent. I think Vanille quite Similar to Iris, but instead of Citrus Luxury Hotel soap. Vanille is gentle, musky and relax. In early develope, this leans more soap skin, the freshly wash skin with hotel soap that feel fresh, soft floral and vanilla powdery, the is some fresh, lite aquatic quality (soft salty) that merge with white clean smoke and musk resulting in soapy like skin. The soft sweet syrup vanilla twine in scent. It soft sweet and relaxing. It’s predictable scent, as we walk into the best it lost soap quality and vanilla talcum, soft sweetness still remains. Slight animalic angelic enhance the scent gives enough musty feel. Smell like skin. It’s a CAMP scent, because it is more like experience encapsulated scent and I not sure rather anyone wants to smell like retro resort hotel. (The one with a lot of wood and sea breeze) but it’s nice. I still gives my nice score at 9.5/10 because it evokes something, at least for me. I want to smell like resort hotel soap. It’s bizarrely relaxing. 🙂

This is such a difficult review for me to write.... I am not a lover of vanilla perfumes, so I have no idea what inspired me to impulse buy this at the mall one day. At least it was on sale. When I tried this at the mall, I picked up a citrusy clean scent with a tad of sweetness. By the time I got home with my new bottle, the smell had gotten bitter in a way that really confused me. I figured at worst I could use it as a linen spray. The store I'd picked it up at was liquidating- there was no chance of returning it. Thankfully, the mall spray was the only time I ever got the citrusy to bitter notes. My actual bottle did smell a little like rootbeer the first few times I sprayed it, which I didn't particularly mind, as I was spraying it on my blanket more than anything. But this is eternal on clothes. After the third day of wondering what that cozy warm scent was, I realized it was what this perfume had matured to on my blanket. It smells almost like vanilla milk, the only way I can describe it is as cozy. I dug up the bottle from where it had migrated to the back of my closet in the week since I'd acquired it, and started testing it out on myself. Yes, the root beer scent is still there at first sniff, but the vanilla quickly pushes through. This does remain a skin scent, but it stays warm and wonderful for at least 4 hours noticeably, and then up until hour 8 i can occasionally catch whispers of it. It does occasionally remind me of baby formula, but not in a bad way. This is truly a comforting scent. She doesn't demand attention, but she doesn't shy away from it either. She is like a reliable friend- and easy pick that can be worn absolutely anywhere. Edit: this has become my new signature scent. To me it smells like a baby, but its comforting and gets me compliments.

I have a weakness for dry vanilla scents, and Infusion de Vanille is an excellent example. Simple and linear, yet good-quality and with points of interest, it is addictive. There is a lovely citrus undertone to the vanilla, giving it a fruity-fresh lift. IdV is vanilla-dominant from initial spray, a sweet, powdery vanilla. The smoke note isn't particularly prominent, but it adds a nice dryness to the vanilla. Tart bergamot complements the dryness here. The vanilla becomes softly spicy as it develops. The neroli adds a lovely orange undertone as well as soft floral sweetness to the vanilla. The angelica is an inspired addition, adding subtle herbal greenness. It fades to a powdery, dry vanilla skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is transeasonal; a rare vanilla-dominant scent that works well in summer. Feminine-leaning in my opinion, the vanilla is rendered slightly edgy by the well-chosen complementary notes. The best vanilla I've encountered since Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille. 4.5/5.

After wearing this perfume almost daily for a year, I can confidently say that Infusion de Vanille by Prada has become my signature scent. The tart bergamot and smoky top notes beautifully develop into a photorealistic vanilla. Over time, the middle notes of neroli shine through, making the fragrance more floral and sweeter. Though not listed, I detect base notes of musk, leaving behind a musky skin scent with a sophisticated vanilla aftertaste. This is not a warm vanilla, which I personally love. I especially appreciate how almost bitter it is, thanks to the bergamot, smoke, and angelica. By the end of the day, the fragrance settles into a faintly sweet, almost sugary scent that reminds me of a kitchen after baking vanilla cakes. This sugary aroma develops more on my clothes, while on my skin, it leans towards a musky, herbal profile. It’s a more "grown-up" perfume, and I believe even those who dislike vanilla might enjoy it. One of my most favorite perfumes by a long shot.

Infusion de Vanille is unlike any vanilla I've ever smelled before, in the best way. I first tried her in a Sephora sampler set; the kind you get a voucher for a full size on. And of course, I'm a vanilla lover, so I knew I had to try this one. This is not your typical vanilla. This is a powdery, fairy-like masterpiece. I feel like a ballerina about to preform Swan Lake would wear this. If Swan Lake had a smell, it's this. I'm certain the angelica is what gives me the ballerina fairy-like vibes. Combined with the vanilla, and a light smokiness, it's very elegant. As it dries down, I feel that it gets a touch sweeter as the neroli mid and vanilla base starts to come through. Longevity and sillage are great, it will last you a good several hours and radiate around arm's length away. @GabbieSmithWindley is right, this definitely does smell like Angelique Noire and Vanille Insensee's lovechild.

Yet again I can't believe the bad reviews about this fragrance, it's absolutely stunning vanilla 😍 The two poles (positive/negative reviews), show how different we are all,, thus how differently we perceive scents/perfumes. This perfume for me personally (from all the vanillas I've tried and have) is my ultimate vanilla for summer and hot weather. I don't want anything in addition the fragrance to have, I don't want anything from its formula to be taken away. It is just perfect for my taste. The pyramid diagram shown above here on Fragrantica is accurate (citrus, vanilla.....floral) and It develops on my skin in the same order. Hope my review will help some people who are put down from the bad reviews to have the courage to try it.

Prada really surprised me today. I had the chance to test some of their scents from their Infusion line and I am officially impressed! These perfumes smell so natural and wear quite light so they are perfect for summer time. I even liked their take on iris... Infusion de Vanille is a gorgeous summertime incency, citrusy, green vanilla. Very pretty, powdery and approachable vanilla scent. Elegant and elevated perfume. Not your average vanilla releases these days. I really love in here the combination of sweet vanilla, light smoke, green angelica, bright, sparkling bergamot and fresh neroli flowers. Again, very pleasantly surprised by how different and beautiful Infusion de Vanilla smells!

This is a gorgeous fragrance. It's a perfect blend of freshness and warmth, expected and unexpected. I am 33 and this suits me very well, it's like a happy medium between the sugary sweet vanilla scents I used as a teen and the more "rich old lady" scents I may gravitate towards in the future. I also think this scent works well for both daytime and evening, as well as all 4 seasons of the year. I almost bought it as it's on sale for 100 Euros (normally 180!) but unfortunately it doesn't have the best longevity (but not the worst either). Will keep this one in my "maybe" pile.

That's lovely. Sweet, soft, creamy. It's obvious, but that's 100% vanilla forward. Sadly this smells too much like ethyl vanilline which makes it very very synthetic feeling. If there's real vanilla in there, it's completely hidden behind the synthetic wall. I find this pretty shocking to see so many people think this is more for female, this .. just smells like vanilla ? Weird. Maybe it's my skin but to me there's absolutely NOTHING feminine in there, the same way there's NOTHING masculine in here too, it's just vanilla, lol.

The fragrance opens on notes of smoked vanilla surrounded by contrasting notes of citrus and Mediterranean bergamot, sour, fresh, bright. The floral notes of neroli stand out superbly, harmoniously combined with fresh green notes of angelica, which emerge at the end, deepened by unexpected and creamy non-gourmand vanilla accords. Temporal olfactory evolution is pale, delicate, powdery and impalpable. Undoubtedly a wonderful fragrance with incredible evolutionary performances.

Equally sweet vanilla and strong smoke -- for those that love an equilibrium of duality. Does lean gourmand (it is noticeably sweet so beware). Weak longetivity and sillage (so disappointed man, Prada please fix). Either you would love or hate this. On it's own -- best for day wear for its simplicity. For night -- would be best if layered with another fragrant... although I did get compliments for this in the bedroom. Dries down to natural skin scent which is very raw/sexy.

A non-gourmand woody vanilla. Woody from the Angelica. Slightly soapy from the Neroli. Dry and not sweet. I personally don't get much citrus on my skin, but it is absolutely beautiful, and as long as you're expecting a woody vanilla, it should appeal. More suited to Autumn and Winter, but very wearable in Spring or cool Summer evenings, perhaps at a BBQ or enjoying the company of friends at your local beer garden. Longevity and sillage are both moderate.

My mother always dislikes my fragrances, this is one of my fragrances that she said nice. I think this one is cozy, mass-appealing and easy-going fragrance! Come on, this is NOT root beer. A light, clean, citrusy vanilla fragrance with Infusion DNA. The performance is quite nice too. Longevity is around 6hrs, soft to moderate sillage. Unisex, all seasons, great for layering too.

I fell in love with this fragrance immediately. This is the kind of vanilla I enjoy. It's very elegant, not too sweet and a little bit powdery. There is an underlying smokiness, a green quality from the Angelica and a freshness from the Bergamot. I would call this a minimalist fragrance but it truly stands out. I find it very versatile and not heavy at all.

Honestly this for me really smells like pure vanilla and I only smelt the bergamot after checking the notes because all the bergamot does it freshen the vanilla note and make it more of a delicate spring scent, it doesn’t over power whatsoever. You can find the tester at some Sephora stores!!

i got this as a gift from my lovely spouse. :-) I can't quite catch the bergamot, but it contributes a lovely freshness reminiscent of winter, and really uplifts this smoky vanilla from settling in the back of my throat. equally unique and beautiful.

Love this! The first vanilla scent I have ever liked! (And I have tried many..) I guess it is because it is not sweet or gourmand vanilla. I also love Infusion díris, so I guess I should continue trying the other "infusion scents" :-)

A lovely vanilla that will stay with you, but won't clear out an elevator. It is basic and simple, but that's the point of their one-note scents. The haters are always hysterical.

Unisex honestly, but as a girl it’s a sexy mature spicy vanilla, honestly different from a classic amber vanilla and a gourmand. I love it!

Such a fresh vanilla fragrance. Really light, not too overpowering and would be perfect for everyday usage, any season. Great for layering.

Vanilla, the most Prada-esque way possible.

Update: This still has a weird bitter powdery opening but shock horror apparently I don’t mind it, especially in this heat and it evolves into this incredibly pretty vanilla, like a vanilla ice cream. I’ve reached for it multiple times since I’ve bought it. So I’d say it’s a win in this sweltering summer heat 30+ not sure how it will fair in the winter. Original review This is bordering on unpleasant but is quite unique, it’s extremely powdery, the lemon, neroli and angelica add a green buttery bitterness that does cut through the powder. I get no vanilla unfortunately so there’s no end to the opening, It’s quite linear and I prefer some sweetness, warmth or depth to my perfumes. I’m sure someone would love this it but it’s not for me. It does soften at the 2 hour mark and is much more pleasant but that’s a long time in lol That being said the quality is excellent and of course the projection, silage and longevity are all great as is typical with perfumes I don’t love 😂😭

A vanilla fragrance that’s quite unlike the huge range of sugary cookie-vanilla-fragrances on the market. Infusion de Vanille smells like actual vanilla pod with the dark, smoky, dry feel. It’s slightly powdery, but most of all dry vanilla. The opening is a little strange, but as soon as it dries down it’s delightful. Luckily I’m not getting any citrus at all. And I don’t really detect any neroli either. I get a slightly smoky vanilla pod with a touch of powder from the angelica. Not too sweet and not a cookie-vanilla at all. I really like it although I don’t know if I love it. I’m not a fan of the smoky note and the perfomance doesn’t match the price. It barely projects and doesn’t last too long either. If I find it at a great discount I might get a full bottle, as I’m sure it’s the kind of scent that will grow on me.

Mature Vanille with a strong citrus. Quite astringent. Definitely not the Infusion de Vanille i expected but i can see it can be a masterpiece for those who love a loud citrusy vanilla that smells like pure luxury and "old money". I love warm gourmands and this is not it ! This is 5th Avenue Vanilla above 40. Projection at first spray is woof ! super strong, Sillage is good, probably long on clothes but..... on skin it's been 2 hours and i can only smell a timid dry down, delicious actually i wished the fragrance smelled like it just 5 times stronger. The dry down is barely there so not worth my purchase sadly :( Price is still worth it, do not blind buy ! When i tried it today 100ml was only 140 euros, super reasonable for high quality Prada Perfume. TRY IT FIRST ! IT DISAPPEARED FAST ON ME LIKE OTHER REVIEWERS !

this perfume is making me feel bipolar. it's a strange mix of men's body wash with some tom ford scent and then the most beautiful vanilla i have ever smelled. i hate the opening but the dry down is to die for. maybe i can learn to love hating it because the dry down on my skin is so heavenly (ᅲ_ᅲ) returning post crash out to say this is a lovely nighttime scent. also it would be very fitting for a black tie event. it's on my wishlist simply for the beautiful, gorgeous, stunning drydown that i literally have never smelt anywhere else.

A beautiful light clean smelling vanilla scent, but not your typical vanilla it's got a marshmallow vibe to it and yes marshmallows are light and airy i'm talking about a real marshmallow here. Like somehow a fresh marshmallow and vanilla is what i'm getting the airy quality of the prada aldehydes and the sweetness of vanilla and marshmallow Very underrated and good vanilla scent, this is slept on for sure needs more love

This is a light vanilla fragrance suitable for warmer weather. Even though the vanilla does not smell as natural as a vanilla pod, it still smells sophisticated. To my nose, vanilla is the most dominant note and the other notes just have supporting roles in the beginning. Infusion de Vanille is a linear fragrance with an excellent longevity of more than 12 hours and I suggest that vanilla lovers give this one a sniff.

I like this one more than I thought I would! Bergamot is always a miss for me, always smelling like bug spray, but it mixes surprisingly well with the vanilla! It has surprising reach and I can smell more of the vanilla and smoke, only smelling the bergamot up close to my wrist. And this is the first perfume with bergamot that actually smells like sweet lemon instead of off bug spray, so good job Prada! 👏

After a citrussy opening, this is a slightly sweet, not gourmand at all, perfume, with a real vanilla pod smell. It is slightly smoky, with a very light green spicy note. Completely different, but it reminds me of Dior Addict, it is a similar vanilla albeit much lighter. It is very elegant and a pleasure to wear. Disappointignly, performance is not good, I just wish it was stronger and longer lasting 🤍

this vanilla is the closest to real vanilla i have ever smelled at a parfum. maybe thats why some people tend to dislike it, because real vanilla has a (to me) sourness, or bitterness - escpecially in the beginning. i bet many people dont like that.. i also appreciate a few synthetic vanilla scents but many of those are often just cheap and sweet. this one is very real and also elegant..

This is a beautiful vanilla. Neroli and bergamot are very much present at the start (with the vanilla note), but the dry down is pure magic. A woodsy-smokey, non-gourmand vanilla that lasts, and lasts, and lasts (12 hours on my skin). Totally unisex. (P.D:There's a sampler with 4, 7.5 ml little bottles with Infusion d'Ylang, I. d'iris, I. de rhubarb and I. de Vanille to try).

It's a very different vanilla from what you find most of the time; here, it is very green, very fresh. I almost want to say that it's an "airy" perfume. As if a slight breeze brought the scent of sweet vanilla to your nose. On the other hand, I absolutely don't smell the other notes and I find that the staying power is very average. A great discovery nonetheless.

Fresh and citrusy opening that dries down to a classy and non-offensive powdery vanilla. This perfume is not the loudest but it still makes a statement and differs itself from the pack, in a quiet confidence sort of way. I would like it to last a bit longer though. It turns into a skin scent after about 2-3 hours and disappears within 6. All in all, I like it.

After the first spray it smells like paper and wood, a little bit dusty ,powdery. At first i couldn't detect vanilla at all But after a few hours, somehow it has changed into yummy vanilla soy milk scent on my skin. This is a very intimate,sexy skin scent. Barely noticable . Suitable for cozy , romantic evenings.

This smells like leather/suede. Mildly sweet also very reminiscent of the scent of rootbeer. Happy to have this in my collection. Its unique reminds me of the beginning notes of Dior Hypnotic poison as well.

Mainly citrus but the vanilla is quite there, soft, and adds to a mix that I don't quite enjoy. Good enough for spring, but not too versatile. I would skip this, there a better vanillas for this price.

Not sure why this is rated so low. Lovely light marmallow-y vanilla gourmand with a bit of citrus. This is not a 3.65 perfume lol

Great smoky dark vanilla. Nothing sticky or tacky, very nice and wearable. Absolute unisex. Big longevity and quite potent.

Smells like vanilla essence, a bit astringent but thankfully not as sweet as other vanilla fragrances.

Pretty basic. Pretty boring and pretty childish. One of the worst blind buys ever. I am picking up a slight root beer too. Don’t waste your money. I feel like there are better vanillas that are cheaper. Joop Le Bain and JS Fancy, for example. If you’re going to splurge for vanilla YSL Black Opium Le Parfum or Shalimar are more worth it in my opinion. Edit: It is kind of cozy and comforting, but still not worth the price.

Medicinal, astringent, herbaceous and not very much vanilly! A tad bit disappointed, TBH. I expected a bigger vanilla olfactory experience from this. Definitely a hit for someone who's not looking for that ubiquitous sweet, creamy vanilla type of fragrance that we know from so many renditions. But didn't really grow on me during the time I had it on my skin. It strikes me more like a Chypre than Oriental, though.

This is like a worse version of Arquiste’s The Architect’s Club. I love that one, and this one has a similarity but I don’t like it. Not sure I’ll even use up my travel size. At first sniff I got mint LifeSavers vibes, but kept thinking there’s something else it reminds me of from childhood that I dislike. It is cool and fresh and a little sweet, but I don’t know I just dont like it.

It’s funky to me. I don’t know exactly what note it is, but when you first spray it, it smells like sour milk and root beer. I do enjoy the dry down (1-2 hours after applying) as it fades into a fluffy vanilla. Lasts forever on everything.

As a vanilla lover, this I think smells chic, but I don't love it. It is a put together, grown up vanilla scent but I prefer a slightly more playful and cosy vanillas. It is a good everyday scent though.

Smells like vanilla rubber tires. This smells really bitter on me unfortunately, that I can’t appreciate other scents included. I love softer vanilla scents.
