Infusion de Vetiver (2015)

Infusion de Vetiver starts with beautiful and crisp bergamot, ginger and vetiver; it is bit green and sweet. Mid bring neroli and supresses the ginger tipping the feel more to the green side of things, drydown is soft greenness of vetiver and neroli. Overall I find this to be “sunny” and green fragrance, no bitterness or dark notes and that actually seems to be something I am enjoying more and more. With such a nice scent it's a bit unfortunate that longevity is only moderate, though sillage could be considered good for summery fresh/green scent. There is something that really draws me to this fragrance, maybe it’s the balance and smoothness of it all. At first I just thought this as nice scent that I might get if I see a good deal, but Infusion de Vetiver did something to me that made me start to crave it. Now it is something that I will get full bottle, as what I have now won’t be enough for me anymore. Infusion de Vetiver is rather versatile fragrance, maybe cold winter day outside might be bit too much for it but I’m sure everything else works; formal and casual doesn’t matter this works with both. The only thing that could be seen as negative is that it’s not that “special” scent; it’s great take on vetiver fragrance and over all great scent that did the most important thing any scent can do for me, made me smile. -Edit- Typos/sentences

I really like this perfume.It is very original and herbal (like freshly cut green stuff herbal) *I was thinking freshly cut grass at first as I don't know what vetiver or the tarragon smell like in real life, I could also detect a freshly cut lime of sorts and then realised it was probably the bergamot, and I was trying to pinpoint what real-life smell the green note reminded me of, and then it it me:parsley!Not strong or overwhelming, just enough to make it fresh and lovely and herbal and with the rest of the notes that are so well blended here, the bergamot, the tangerine in the background and of course the iris,this becomes so refreshing and lovely but in a very natural tame way....nothing offensive or too strong, no note that overtakes the other. I would categorise this as a unisex definitely, but unisex in the sense that it truly has no gender, it doesn't lean masculine in any way, as some perfumes categorised unisex can. In a really hot summer day when you want sth fresh and clean that is very natural and balanced (not sweet, not bitter, not sour, not dry, not synthetic), just a beauty in its own right, then this one is for you!

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: Same classy, subtle infusions DNA. Satisfying damp vetiver note with strong ginger throughout a surprisingly long wear. Has more projection than the other Infusions. A big YES from me. ——— More.... Good for heat. Perfectly unisex. Only a hint of sweetness. Because the Infusions all have similar DNA, they can seem redundant. While, yes, this one shares the base notes’ DNA, I definitely think it’s a standout. (I, personally, like all the Prada Infusions I’ve tried.) This is more distinctive than the others, IMO, because it’s got a spicy quality. As far as the vetiver note goes, there’s something about the ginger and tarragon that enhance the vetiver note and really make it pop! Please note, you have to like ginger, or you’re not going to like this. My opinion is that it’s 100% worth having a bottle or decant. (Also, you can find minis on eBay for ~20 for perfumistas on a budget.) The discounters have it, but it can be hard to find, so snag it now.

I like this one a lot. Being a patchouli-crazy and sandalwood-mad for quite some time, I forgot the beauty of vetiver. But, there, I gave a sniff and bought it. Now, there will be better vetivers in the market, I'm sure, but this is a lovely blend of vetiver as well. Leans towards the masculine side, but it's worth buying even for layering with other perfumes. Needless to say, my man confiscated it. Doesn't project well, lasts at about three to four hours on skin and more on clothes. The overall blend impressed me. It's mainly vetiver, but it has citrus layers, spicy character, I guess because of the ginger, it's clean because of the neroli, rosy in the late drydown, earthy, mastic-like, medicinal, (dare I say somewhat weedy?). Smoked at times and almost savory. Yep, I love it! "This for men, not for ladies" takes it and douses. Cannot lie, I like it on him equally. We will need a new bottle soon.

It is my first review so I will keep it short and less pretentious. Its the start of rather hot spring here in sydney and I wanted to go with something a little sweet smell rather citric. Came across these 6 eau de perfumes by Prada. Vetiver is more masculine than rest of the counterparts. It starts with sweet vetiver with hints of rose here and there. I find it more linear a perfume as name suggests its all about vetiver for me. Though not close to issey miyake but has the potential to replace it in my collection. Sillage is low to moderate. I can smell it on myself but others cannot. It lasts around 4-6 hours for me easily. I personally couldn't smell Bergamot or Ginger in it (it could be my nose so don't take my word on this). Its longevity and sillage could have been better knowing its eau de perfum. Nevertheless I am not disappointed with it.

A luminously refined take on Vetiver, Infusion de Vetiver is beautifully blended, elegant and airy. One of the better Infusion releases. Opening with a big astringent hit of bergamot and neroli, Infusion de Vetiver quickly turns sultry with fresh, spicy ginger and gently crushed rose petals. Only in the dry down does the elegantly complex vetiver take centre stage with its ever evolving citrus and smoky characteristics; even then it’s beautifully backboned by softer hints of ginger and rose that never completely leave my skin. There is a powderiness to Infusion de Vetiver as one would expect from a Prada Infusion release. A unisex fragrance with masculine leanings, this is easily wearable by both sexes. A beautifully refreshing warm weather scent. Longevity is moderate with moderate sillage. 8/10

I'll likely come back with a proper warm weather test, but I just got this and was so excited to try it out. I've been searching for a good vetiver forward fragrance for women, and it's difficult. This is a vetiver done so well. It's smooth, blends seamlessly with the other notes, well balanced, and despite the strong citrus it is not screechy or overtly tart once it settles. I don't just smell a generic "citrus", I can actually pick up that there's lime. It's bright zesty citruses, gingery, and just a bit on the herbaceous side. Vetiver is fresh and clean, soft comforting woodiness. I agree with reviewers that it does lean a bit more masculine which doesn't bother me, and again can't wait to try it out in the summer and see how the citruses bloom in the heat.

Finally got a full bottle of this little hidden gem for a great price and couldn't miss the chance. This is a classy and timeless vetiver with citrusy and soapy nuances. Personally I do not notice much of some of the listed notes (rose, lime) and others spark and suddenly disappear (tangerine, cardamom) so most of the time I get an earthy but clean vetiver not as dry or heavy as in Guerlain or Grey Vetiver... well balanced and not too mature but a bit conservative if you ask me, a good choice to start with the vetiver note. In my opinion the first version (2010) was better because the vetiver note was less obvious and it was brilliantly balanced by tarragon and ginger, much more detectable than in this new version as well.

I recently bought this. I got a sample, quickly went through it and bought a full bottle. I must admit I really like it. I love vetiver. It’s quite a light scent, not heavy or strong. It’s a bright, earthy type vetiver. Complete opposite of Encre Noir. Which I love. I don’t believe you can over spray this one. To me it’s sort of a dumb grab Perfume. I enjoy wearing it to work, or if I’m in the light vetiver mood. It’s smells like citrus and vetiver, that’s it. It actually last a long time on me. It’s almost a perfect fragrance. I would say get a sample if you love vetiver and see if it works for you.

The opening has this strong burst of citrus, cardamom, and ginger, which reminds me of Voyage d'Hermes. Then, it changes into this really nice clean vetiver with a hint of tangerine in the background. I can't quite smell the rose nor does it smell soapy to me, but it smells very very clean. I love this. Longevity: This lasts surprisingly long around 8 hours on my skin, 12+ hours on clothes. Projection: I feel like this one projects really well, it's quite noticeable. 9/10 Edit: (08/09/2023) Can't get enough of this frag, it smells very sophisticated. Addictive, invigorating, built for heat. Prada Infusion de Vetiver is a crisp, citrus-forward take on vetiver. Radiant rather than earthy. The ginger doesn’t overpower, but slices through the brightness with a pleasant but somewhat sharp edge It brings to mind Loewe 001 Man, especially in its gentle transparency. But where Loewe leans into softness and musk, Infusion de Vetiver feels sunlit and clear, like morning rays hitting freshly pressed linen. For me, it’s the ultimate Summer scent: effortless, dry, and quietly compelling. A fragrance that doesn’t shout, but lingers with clarity and calm.

It was a blind buy for my hubby, but I'm determined to steal it from time to time. It seems alot like Iris, but very tonic and citrusy. I love it. Later edit: it actually smells alot like Iris. I mean, with Iris on a hand and Vetiver on the other, at some point, I cannot tell the difference. My husband often "accuses" me of using his Vetiver, when I actually use Iris. I am surprised nobody commented on this resemblance. It is Iris, but citrusy and pine-y. I like it very much, but it is not a "must repurchase".

Another great fragrance from Prada, infusion Vetiver is like taking Prada lhomme toning down the spillage a bit and adding an undertone of clean Vetiver. It's a great combination, well blended, subtle yet noticeable, and long lasting. This would make for a great office or church scent as it is indeed subtle so you won't be choking anyone out. If you prefer a loud yet classy fragrance go with lhomme if you prefer to be subtle yet classy go with this. 9/10

This smells like a Hermes or Guerlain kind of scent. Refined, interesting and complex. Yet, it doesn't demand too much of your nose. I don't think anyone would be offended by it. Great scent for the office for sure! Yet, in my opinion it is still quite head-turning. It almost as if Voyage de Hermes and L'Eau Papier had a baby. This is a dry unisex scent, with powdery, musky and papery notes. Romantic but with a slight melancholy in it. Love it!

This is the most masculine in the prada infusions line but I find it works. Its a sprintime scent and a very aromatic citrus. My first impressions of the scent were lime and vetiver just invading everything else. Then it dries down to a woody warm scent. Theres a bit of spice in this scent too so it can definitely work for the fall too though I like how it sits with my skin chemistry during the springtime better.

Another vetiver based fragrance I've been searching for after Terre D'Hermes Intense Vetiver. The ingredients of this, HIGH CLASS. On my neck it lasts 6 hours, on my clothes up to 14 hours, good performance to me really does the job. As i've been saying it, if you love vetiver fragrances, sweet and fresh, a little bit floral that settles fine on skin, Prada Infusion De Vetiver is the thing 🔥

I love it from frist sniff but 2 problems 1. longevity and sillage are weak 2. after watching a review video where the vlogger's mom commented it has a veggie note like sort of a cucumber I cant forget it and it affected mt perception for worse still love it and bought it, should be stronger and great for humid areas where you want to smell fresh in hot summers (like the middle east)

Breathtakingly zesty and fresh ginger/lemony scent, with some soapy notes and of course vetiver. This is a beautiful androgynous scent -- it's always nice to try masculine scents that don't smell aromatic or like a barbershop scent, this is truly unisex. Along with Iris Cedre, which also leans less feminine, these two are my favorite from the line!

Very sophisticated and fresh, and I could imagine myself wearing this as a signature scent. Almost recognisable vetiver but at the same time totally something else on the market. 9/10 For some reason alongside the vetiver and spicy notes from the ginger i get another distinct note which is orange (it is not in the list).

Wonderful sheer veil of scent. Has enough citrus & ginger to keep it crisp & cool, vetiver gorgeous, & balanced with rose. Unable to smell the neroli. Perfect for me (female). Good unisex fragrance for males when they want to leave a subtle trail not a blast. It's not a strong parfum more an EDT style. Perfect.

After 20 minutes, it starts to smell like a quality soap with a fresh wood fragrance in it. I don't like the opening, but it requires only 20 minutes of patience before you start to smell like a fresh wood soap. Interestingly, aldehydes (these prominent soap notes) are not listed in the pyramid.

Floating in the air levels of freshness. Amazingly natural, soapy vetiver and ginger smell that's sooo pleasant the nose, however i think it's highly airy natural smell is what brings down it's sillage and performance to a semi disappointing level.

If you like Guerlain Vetiver you would probably like this. Not exactly the same. Well done , I prefer this over Guerlain Vetiver if I had to choose. The perfumer of Prada L’Homme made this and you can tell the DNA and craftsmanship.

Though it starts a bit aggressive and quite masculine (bitter citrus reminding Cacharel)it is after a while softened with rose. But not enough. It feels synthetic to my nose.

Airy, herbal, clean, soapy and with a touch of incense. JUST PERFECT!

This is a subtly prettified vetiver, airy and light as you'd expect from Prada's infusion range. The touches of neroli and rose are perfect, smoothing out the astringent green of vetiver without becoming too floral. Citrus always pairs beautifully with the lemony notes of vetiver, but most vetiver-centred perfumes focus on that aspect alone, or hints of wood and smoke to echo the woody smoky aspects of vetiver(I love Creed's Vetive for its smokiness though it's more recognisably masculine in style) It feels to me that the usual combination of vetiver woods and citrus has been taken in a subtly diferent direction here - it's recognisably all about vetiver but I'd buy this over the Diptyque or Malle versions (though I do like those), as it's just a little bit different, maybe also a bit more feminine. I also love Miller Harris's Vetiver Insolent, but that's a velvety perfume suited to autumn I think, this is ideal for spring/summer, it would be the perfume equivalent to a silky dress in light green and yellow. Also, if like me you love Infusion d'Iris and wear it year round, this will make a nice change in hot weather! It's a simple perfume concept in some ways and maybe doesn't warrant me going on about it! but I love the easy-to-wear yet elegant feel of Prada's infusions series.

This is definitely the infusion flankers that leans masculine. It is for guys who felt D’Iris Cedre is too feminine. The ginger and cardamom in this are very spicy. It smells like Infusion d’Iris if you removed the sickly sweet powder and added ginger, lime and Vetiver. It has an herbal quality without really smelling green. It’s fresh without smelling like soap or being aquatic. I have to agree that it does have a hint of what smells like weed but not in a bad way. After working in the cannabis industry, my perception of weed changed. It no longer smells stinky to me even though I haven’t touched it in nearly 3 years. So now only the skunky variety stinks. This is a good weed smell. It’s like you are smoking it versus dry buds. Its the way the notes hit together, but I didn’t think that until I read the reviews. I just knew I smelt something that I couldn’t put my finger on, but was familiar.

Wow! At first spray, this was wayyy too citrusy and gingery. But it still felt high-quality even though it wasn't my thing, so I was ready to give it an "Okay" rating. But this scent keeps blossoming into something better and more integrated. I can smell more lime and cardamom now--and I LOOOVE cardamom. (Hermès' "Voyage" also has Cardamom and it's one of my absolute favorites) This scent really is very unique. I'm so pleasantly surprised! (It's still a bit too citrusy for me, but it is now in the "like" category for me)

Atop the Infusion line's signature very soft powder, slightly soapy base, this opens with a spritz of lime and green accords. There's a bit more added soapiness, owing to the neroli and vetiver, a pop of fresh spicy ginger, and maybe the faintest hint of rose. Light and refreshing, like grinding conifer leaves with a mortar and pestle. While the performance of most of this line is fairly weak, this takes the cake with minimal projection for maybe ~90min tops. Longevity as a skin scent is still 12hr+, though.

I expected this scent to be sharp and bitter, but it's a total opposite. It's very smooth and powdery, and a bit soapy on my skin. I get a lot of ginger, which I ussualy find very sharp, but not here. Sillage is modest, but it lasts for quite a while (6 hours or so). Very nice for summer.

This is sharp and acidic from the neroli, but feels somehow natural and soft. Perhaps the rose note helps rounds it out? Ginger is the star of this on my skin. Completely unisex, fresh, linen-y scent. Much less powdery and soapy than Prada's Iris Cedre from the same line.

This is a nice take on vetiver, the rose and neroli at the beginning give it a unisex feel, then they disappear within 15-20 min leaving the citrus and vetiver to take over. Its not a strong perfume and thats my only take on it, otherwise its a very nice scent.

Invigoratingly fresh, super fresh citrus balanced with vetiver, ginger, and neroli. Settles musky and soapy on my skin with a hint of spicy rose. Perfect for the hotter seasons, keeps cool. Decanting some to take along with me for the day.

Quite nice vetiver but a weak kind. Reminds me Guerlain's Vetiver EDT but TF's Grey Vetiver is too grey although there is something that makes them remotely similar, the "grainy dry" texture that may give an impression of hay.

One of the more feminine leaning vetiver fragrances out there. It is rather liniar, simple, light, but nothing bad. If you like citrus perfumes this is a safe blindbuy.

ho hum after a few tries, it does not speak to me. it reminds me of window shopping in rome, pretty things behind glass windows. it opens a bit astringent citrus then meanders through a floral glade to a powdery soft place. it is masculine by default and sexless by smell. bed linens in a chic boutique hotel. a bit overpriced for what it is, inoffensive and uninspiring. july 2022 just came back from a wedding in scotland, cool, cloudy late june early july in scotland. it worked. reflecting the nuptials in borthwick castle, solidly middle class sobriety.

It smells too savoury to me. Almost like an herb kitchen, tomatoes, basils, tarragon and oregano. It's very vegetal, but somehow not in a pleasant way.

Infusion de Vetiver, This is not really bad but I don’t know what it try to be.. I do like smoke hot vetiver (peanut) type more than Vetiveryle Acetate which this one also contains. It like it has both aspect mixing in this one. This is greener, fresher offering from the line. Hint of spicy, rosy, citrusy. Maybe, it just not suite my personal test in winter let’s try her again in summer. Score : 7/10 Edit 1: September 22, 2024 Infusion de Vetiver is very pleasant presents of citrus-aromatic, the Citrus Eau de Cologne manner. It’s chic and timeless, thx to Tarragon - the green bite just provide enough bite in slight older fragrance manner but yeap still modern prada accord. Still, I think the message here is great. Clean and bitey, should be a dumb reach gents scent easily. This is less powdery than all Prada Infusions’ offering. For me, I prefers a Citrus fragrance that bitey than this so Infusion de Vetiver is not my kind of Citrus cologne. I will stick with my Eau de Guerlain. 8/10

Use Prada L'homme as the base (same perfumer). Dial down the cloying sweetness, powder, and soap found in L'homme by 90%. Add ginger, cardamom, and a very light/clean vetiver = Infusion de Vetiver This was an immensely successful blind buy. I fly a lot for work, and this works perfectly as a non-offensive fragrance for air travel, and the opening reminds me of another one of my "air travel" favorites, Voyage d'Hermes. I also get a very slight tinge of Cartier Declaration. Also works great in the office. This is Prada L'homme (doesn't smell alike at all, but in terms of when and where you can use it) but for guys (and girls) who don't want to smell like a broccoli haired, vape pen kid. Another banger by Daniela Andrier. 8/10

Now, this was a good lesson on how your skin may bring out notes which you don't expect (or want, for that matter). Love vetiver, especially in base notes so it lingers on the skin and slowly fades out... I thought the combination with ginger would be interesting, so I gave it a try. Heaven help me, that was a mistake! The only note that developed was ginger, obnoxious, obtrusive, in-your-face ginger for hours. Hours! If it was a scent I liked, I would have been impressed by the intensity and persistence. This way, I tried washing it off - which didn't help. I suffered it for about four hours, developed a headache and a deep regret for my skin chemistry. Lovely composition in theory, but try it on first.

To me, this is all about the Cardamom and lime. I associate vetiver with an earthiness that I just don't detect here. The opening smells like freshly grated lime peels and the drydown is Cardamom with tart citrus and lime zest behind it. I waffled about getting this as I already have Infusion Gingembre and the notes are so similar. Even though the dry downs are close, they're not redundant. This is a juicy, citrusy summer scent where ginger goes drier, soapier and spicier - maybe more for cooler weather. Also worth noting, I only perceive the powdery Iris "DNA" on the far-drydown and only if I shut my eyes, cross my fingers, click my heels, and search for it.

Infusion de Vetiver is bright and sunny, and it still has that soapy, powdery, poshness characteristic of many Pradas. Aside from the vetiver, I definitely get the ginger and citrus all throughout the wear. I do find it mildly sweet and floral as well. This may be the cleanest, softest vetiver I have ever smelled. This is a super nice scent for warm days. Smelling this makes me think of waking up in a luxe hotel suite or having brunch on a beautiful hotel terrace while on holiday. This wears light, but it's definitely there...you'll get nice, delicate wafts of it throughout the day. This is perfect for smelling clean and classy.

This was love at first sniff! First of all, I must say that I am a bit shocked that most of the comments say that this fragrance tends to be masculine - I find it feminine. It is fresh, clean, and spicy, without being heavy. At first, I get a lot of slightly sweet ginger, then mostly tangerine in the dry down, and somehow I still wouldn't say this perfume is sweet or fruity. In my opinion, this is a perfect daytime perfume for spring and summer. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about it reminds me of Chanel Chance in its essence, even though they are very different. I can't wait to buy a whole bottle!

When I first smelled I thought lemony - fresh cut limes and the ginger balances well cutting the sharpness. I did not get the powdery DNA of the Les Infusions line here - in fact it is quite different from the others. Green, fresh and sporty, I fell it more masculine than feminine - by that, obviously, I do not mean it does not go well on women. It is just if you want something sweet or powdery, this may not be for you, but if you smell it, you will surely like it!

Infusion d'Iris with green peppery vetiver notes and more wood. As it dries, citrus comes out more. Dries fully to a sheer vetiver/wood scent, very light, not unlike Kenzo Air, but sheerer and prettier. I like it a lot. My sister thought it had a harsh edge. Still, it's so very close to Infusion d'Iris that I probably won't buy it.

Opens with a strong bergamot and vetiver note atop the Infusion d’iris soapy base. As it settles, the ginger comes through. Then the mandarin and the vetiver recedes. I have most of the Infusion d’irises and this one is the brightest. Very fresh on a hot summer day.

The original is 100% unisex, the vetiver and the cedre flankers lean masculine. I still enjoy a lot both on them on my skin too, but if you are looking for something sophisticated, elegant, cozy and timeless for a man, these 2 are perfect.

How is cannabis not listed as a note, it's most noticeable one for me. It's the weed an aging Rastafarian smokes, not the skunk kids on street corners smoke.

Green-citric-powdery with grapefruit/ginger note, slightly synthetic. Nice clean office scent. Fragrance 7.5/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 6/10, Flacon 9/10

Starts out an underwhelming generic (sweet) citrus-floral, but then dries into a wonderful transparent natural-smelling vetiver like Dior's!
