Infusion Mandarine

I got a sample of this so I can compare it to Guerlain's Mandarine Basilic EDT and Mandarine Basilic Forte. Prada's Infusion de Mandarine is different from the former Guerlain in that the Guerlain smells like an orange, leaves and all, dunked in crisp cold water then broken open. Infusion de Mandarine OTH smells like just the orange. It's already been cut open and you're smelling the literal juicy pulp of the fruit with a little bit of rind and skin. It smells slightly medicinal too compared to the Guerlain but only slight. It's also not like the latter Guerlain which smells perfume-y rather than photorealistically gourmand. The Forte is more like an approximation of the orange scent that's been blended so well to the rest of the frag that it doesn't smell like a physical fruit anymore. Rather it smells like a very sophisticated orange note you wear for dressing up and formal occasions. Infusion de Mandarine therefore is closer to Mandarine Basilic EDT in that like that Guerlain, this is more suited to casual wear. I wonder how both would smell layered one on top of the other. > 35 mins in, the mandarin note is still going strong. > Between 40-45 min mark, the green mandarin leaf note enter the stage. It smells like leaves washed in cold, crisp water and they're still wet. At this point it's also already noticeable that the orange notes have dipped in intensity. > 55 mins in, the mandarin itself now smells like it's been dunked in water. Now it smells like the opening notes of Guerlain's Mandarine Basilic EDT so if you're going to layer the two the Basilic should be sprayed first and then this goes on top of that. > 1hr mark, the orange is almost gone. > I need to correct myself. 35 mins later the orange note is still there lightly scenting my skin. It's already a skin scent. It's also taken on a soapy quality. At this point I was expecting white florals from the neroli and orange blossom but there's none of that yet. > 2hr 20 mins. No change. Just fresh realistic orange with some greens. There's a good chance what I'm actually smelling is the orange blossom and neroli now. If that's the case the perfumer did a good job making white flowers mimic the scent of orange fruit - thereby extending the citric note. If there's neroli, it's deep in the background and smells nothing like Tom Ford's white flowery Neroli Portofino. > 3rd hr. I can confirm now that what I suspected I was smelling 40 mins ago was in fact the white flowers cleverly blended and proportioned to mimic the smell of oranges. If you smell closely and pay attention you can pick out the Neroli in the composition. So it's not really a linear scent but it's been deliberately made to seem that way by way of cleverly blending notes to stretch out the lifespan of the orange. > Almost gone by 4.5 hr mark. At this rate I expect this to be spent by 5hr point. > Scratch that. It's gone by 4.5 hr mark. Actually 3 mins after.

so this is my 1st review after being on here for years but this one finally dragged me out to finally give my perspective. I just received this scent today and initial spray on skin, it literally smells like fresh peeled tangerines squirted on my skin.... so zesty! I get a slight powdery-ness in the background but Tangerine vibes is what I get and I actually enjoy this a lot! Its not like a artificial citrus but an actual tangerine in front of me spritzing on my skin! looking forward to wearing this in the upcoming summer as well as a layering scent. so far I've had this one for about 3+hrs and it pretty steady for staying power, not intense as for as silage but very nice! I feel if you use a scented lotion/body butter ( going to figure out what will work best with this) I think it would def last even longer. But again my 1st initial impression and I like it!

I can be brief about this one: I adore the cold powdery base that all Prada's Infusions have in common, and I love citrus scents, so it comes as no surprise that Infusion de Mandarine is a big hit with me as well. And in this case especially, both aspects of the composition complement each other wonderfully well: the clean, powdery coldness of the base really sparkles in combination with the brightness of the realistic, naturally sweet and delicious mandarin orange. And in turn, the citrus note is lifted by the presence of that Infusion base: it keeps it from smelling like a thousand other orange scents, and makes this an interesting scent as well as a delightfully sunny one. Full marks!

My best discovery of this year. What joy this perfume brings - instant mood booster! May seem a little vintage because of powdery note, but I love it. Without it, it would be yet another mandarine scent, but it definitely isn't! It's very rich in oranges and mandarines but you still smell wonderfully sophisticated, elegant and feminine. It kind of combines scents from two worlds so I get why it will not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is exactly my cup of tea. Especially now during heatwave in Poland.

Infusion Mandarine by Prada is absolutely amazing addition to the Infusion line. I have been testing it for around 3 days now and Im convinced that this might be the best tangerine scent I`ve tried. Its zesty, slightly sweet, fresh and effervescent without being boring and persistent. The performance is excellent for this type of scent with good silage. Highly recommended if you like mandarines as much as i do :)

Adorable! Easy wear and elegant bitter orange peel on an elegant fluffy Prada base (their usual standard classic base from the colognes’ line). Softer than Prada iris . Opening is very similar to eccentric molecule 01+mandarine , but Prada’s bitter mandarine actually lasts longer than EM+M. Love it , having a bottle (in each purse :-). Prada and EMM both spring and summer faves.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this! It smells like Prada Infusion D'Iris Absolue, which has sadly been discontinued, with a wonderful splash of Oranges. This is potentially becoming my new favorite!

Lovely, fresh, similar to Infusion d'Iris. The smell is exactly the same as the mandarin essential oil.

Spray this and you get a beautiful blast of citrus l. Very smooth and great for summer.

Infusion Mandarine by Prada is one of the freshest citrus scents that I have smelled. I absolutely adore this fragrance! I love how this is no generic “orange” citrus fragrance, and you can definitely tell that what you are smelling is distinctly green mandarin. The main notes I am smelling are mandarin, mandarin peel, mandarin leaf, and some orange blossom. It is difficult to come by a fragrance that does its mandarin notes justice, since most fragrances with citrus notes use oranges/lemons/limes and can begin to smell generic because of it. Infusion Mandarine is definitely an original fragrance and I cannot name any fragrance that smells quite like this. This fragrance smells exactly like its name, so if you are a mandarin lover, Infusion Mandarine by Prada is right up your alley! Such a fresh and bright fragrance that is perfect for spring!

I mean, look at the ingredient list and you get exactly what it says on the tin. Orange, orange, orange, more orange, and... some resin. Light and sparkling orange, almost like a soda. With unlisted white florals. Very softly powdery, as if peeling an orange with a thick pith. Reminiscent of MFK Aqua Universalis but not as watery. Steadily gets soapier as it dries down, until the point it becomes orange soap as a skin scent. Moderately soft projection fades over 2-3hr, longevity 12hr+. Compared to Infusion Fleur d'Oranger, this smells like the flesh of a freshly peeled orange whereas that smells like a whole orange tree. FdO orange shares the spotlight with green and woody accords, this is pure orange.

This is pure orange soda plus some orange peel/zest. Smelling it almost gives you that same sparkling fizzy quality you get from drinking an orange soda, somehow. I also get a little bit of sweetness of soda plus some of the bitterness of orange peel all at once. Overall it's a pleasant scent if you like the smell of oranges, because that plus the soapy creamy base that all Les Infusions de Prada have is all you get here. There's beauty in simplicity though, and I appreciate this scent for its linear qualities not in spite of them. But if you don't want to smell like straight up orange juice, skip this one. I would say this is unisex leaning feminine.

Really liking that one! I like that it isn't like an orange juice scent, it is like the rind and the leaf of the fruit rather than the juice, it is smooth and fresh, with the right amount of floral notes to counteract the zesty fruits...it has a bit of a powdery vibe too, really pretty, and with character....loving it in the cooler days... Don't expect a fuit juice scent though, this is warmer, and a bit resinous almost...i find it a pleasure to wear, longevity isn't outstanding, but nice..

Lovely bright sparkling-fresh orange which has the courage not to go too sweet - it's very agreeably tart and acid and natural. Sadly, like all the other Prada Infusions, it can't hang on to my skin for more than half an hour. Definitely classy and confident treatment of the theme so worth a try if you think your personal ecosystem might let it survive for longer. For me, still waiting for the perfect bitter-orange scent which actually lasts to present itself .... next please!

I love Prada Mandarine !! It is fresh, but the mandarin isn’t like super sweet or juicy, it is more the rind, which gives it a realistic take on mandarin..I personally do not find it masculine at all, and I even dislike unisex..it is really well done, attractive, and I get into it at times and don’t want to wear anything else !,, the florals are a bit powdery and there is a bit of an earthy vibe, overall this is a bright well done scent .

This remind me of Chinese New Year! When we eat mandarin for good luck. First Spray~ smell like to pull out the mandarin stem where is green leaf is leafy smell and then the peel of skin come off which is bitter. Then comes the soury smell of mandarin with a hint of sweet. 1h after spray~ The flowery note come up. 3h after spray~ it’s close to skin like scent. Light, soapy, orangey kinda smell.

There are lots of citrus scents but very few are photo realistic. PM manages to have that real, sparkly mandarine opening, and I love it for that. Decent sillage and longevity, this is a unisex worksafe perfume. PM is lovely and perfect for hot weather. Yves Rocher had a nearly identical perfume decades ago, but I can't recall the name.

The orange notes in this smells very much like the orange in Terre d'Hermes. This is a very nice, soft calming fragrance but it becomes a skin scent very quickly. I prefer this over Fleur d'Oranger since that one becomes way too floral with the tuberose but it's just too weak on skin.

Beautiful mandarine, nice and soapy. But the longevity in my skin is just ephemeral. You have to really sniff after half an hour to even find a trace of it. Quite unacceptable for an EdP and the price point.

Smells like a photorealistic orange peel, pith and all! Bitter, refreshing! I find it smells a little bit like an orange based liqueur, one you’d drink in the summertime over ice!
