Prada Paradoxe

Guys, seriously... this perfume is something extraordinary. I wrote about it two years ago, and yet here I am again, completely under its spell. I genuinely don't understand how anyone could call it generic or boring. To me, it's a fragrance with a thousand faces, constantly revealing something new. Every time I wear it, it feels like meeting it for the first time all over again. In the morning, it glows with a luminous, almost ethereal beauty. By nightfall, it transforms into something deeper, darker, and irresistibly seductive. In the heat of summer, it's a refreshing breeze; in the heart of winter, it's a soft cashmere blanket wrapped around the soul. On fabric, it blooms into delicate white flowers dancing in the air. On skin, a subtle animalic warmth emerges, intimate and captivating. The opening is airy and weightless, like sunlight filtering through silk curtains, but hours later it settles into the most intoxicating sweetness—a scent trail that lingers like a beautiful memory. No matter how often I wear it, I never grow tired of it. If anything, my obsession only deepens. Sometimes I wonder if the perfumer secretly hid a little bit of magic in the bottle, because this fragrance is undeniably addictive. And that's the thing: it's so much more than a sweet white-floral perfume. It's a mood, a mystery, a quiet seduction. It's pure magic in a bottle. 9.5/10

I tried this in a department store and loved it immediately. Certainly very feminine, but I felt as though the floral, fruit sultry spice and gourmand notes came together just SO well, they sparkled and sung on my skin. And boy did it to continue to do so, even 24 hours later (after a shower), so this needs to be used sparingly! Perhaps the reason I like this so much, is for the nostalgia. In my early twenties (when I was carefree and fun), I used to wear Jean Paul Gaultier Classique - this to me smells very similar. And, while I feel this would certainly suit a young woman, I like to think that I'm not out of place wearing this as a mum-of-two in her thirties. Heck, maybe it makes me feel a bit... cool? A bit fun and flirty? For me, it comes together gorgeously on my skin and I can't stop smelling my wrists. And bear in mind, I tried this in minus 15 degree-cold in Finland. I imagine it will also absolutely sing of a balmy summer evening, too. I'll often have a sniff of something and think, 'hmm, this is nice', but very seldom do I go ahead and buy a 90ml bottle the same day! For the price point, I definitely think a 30ml bottle is a safe blind buy.

I'm usually not a big fan of Prada fragrances, I've tried some for both men and women and I find alot of their fragrances to be rather mediocre to decent for me, some are quite nice but nothing particularly outstanding for me. Until I tried this Prada Paradoxe at Chemist Warehouse and fell in love with it instantly! This is by far my favourite fragrance from Prada and one of my fav fragrances overall, it's a beautiful & elegant fruity floral fragrance, the floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom complement the fruity notes of bergamot and tangerine perfectly. It smells so nice on my skin and it lasted for many hours, so I'm also impressed with the longevity of it on my skin. The only downside is that it's so expensive, even at CWH where they have the cheapest prices for perfumes in Australia, a small 30ml bottle still costs about $100, while CWH sells the full size 90ml for $230. Lucky for me I received a free small vial sample of this Paradoxe from Myer, I love it so much. I rarely wear it though because the sample is so tiny and I can't afford to buy a full size bottle of it.

you know what. i totally understand all the flak from seasoned perfume collectors, with a name like paradoxe you really would expect it to be more complex. but i fell in love on first sniff and i smelled most everything in that same sephora and i was still enchanted. had to take her home. im careful with my little 30ml but she performs well even with light application and delights my coworkers! i dont even know what to compare it to except a cherry car air freshener and that sounds like a negative im sure but....its a damn good scent.....maybe its the white trash in me! but i adore this generic sweetie!!! edit: okay if youve ever had gummy fruit snacks in your school lunch. thats what this smells like more than anything to me and its so welcome every time i put on a jacket i wore earlier in the week and im like "ah, fruit snack perfume is still there" shes a powerhouse <3

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this yet. This is my signature scent so, yes, I'm biased. This scent surprised me at first. First time I smelled it it just smelled generic (yes the g word 💔) and perfume-y. Nothing too special. And it's true that the first sniff is usually underwhelming. Though I can say after wearing this for a year, its such a pretty perfume. The opening is bright, sweet but not cloying and it settles quick into a clean and soft scent. Like freshly washed cotton and orange blossom. But after about 15-20 minutes, the scent settles into the most beautiful creamy vanilla and amber. Nothing too sweet, it's still far away from a gourmand. It's a well balanced white floral, rarely turns heady on me. In fact, it prefers to turn heads instead lol it's such a compliment magnet.

So ‘designer’, ‘basic’, ‘juvenile’... But also so fun, flirty, and easygoing! An ultra sweet white floral with a juicy candy-like opening and warm vanilla base. I get mostly neroli/ orange blossom. The florals are very well blended and balanced, softening the green zesty neroli and smoothing the ‘nubby’ or chalky texture that orange blossom can sometimes have. Paradoxe is mass appealing and ‘easy reach’ but still has character- it feels outgoing, effervescent and vivacious. It’s definitely a mood booster that makes me feel pretty and confident. My husband doesn’t like most white florals I wear, including masterpieces like Rouge Malachite and Electra Gaze. But, he usually compliments Paradoxe. I do prefer the Intense version, but the original edp is a better choice for summertime.

I rarely get on a bandwagon with perfumes because I'm put off if I smell it on every other person all the time. However, I made an exception with this one when I smellt it on a friend's friend on a night out. It was such a pretty, feminine scent, I ended up buying it. It's definitely strong and longlasting, it's sultry and sexy, not an office-complying perfume if you ask me. And you don't need to pour it on you because it is heavy and can be too much for your environment (khm... khm...). I can wear this all year round on occasions, it's not an everyday, running-errands kind of fragrance to me. I also think it's one of those that 16-year-olds can put on because of the hype but it also fits us in our mid-20s and even above.

What else can I say but that this fragrance is bliss? It's feminine, floral, and flirty. I can smell wafts of it all day. I love discovering it on a hoodie or jacket days later. It's a safe blind buy if you like neroli, because it is very heavy with neroli. I love neroli with orange blossom. It always makes me feel like bottled happiness. The musk isn't very forward. The floral notes definitely stand out over the top and base notes. It is perfection for spring wear, but I will wear it a lot in summer, too. To me, there are basic perfumes and simple perfumes. Simple can be beautiful, and that is this perfume. It also layers well. The bottle is refillable, which I love. She's a staple in my collection.

When this scent was first released in 2022, I found it to be the most generic floral gourmand fragrance ever. I smelled it only once and like many others, I was disappointed, as I had envisioned something completely different for a Prada release—something niche, edgy, and polarizing. I quickly turned my back on the scent and paid it no further mind. Recently, I met up with a friend who was wearing the most wonderful floral fragrance. To my surprise, she wore Paradoxe. I immediately changed my mind. Now I find that Paradoxe is one of the most beautiful floral fragrances of recent years, floral, creamy, seductive. The paradox of this perfume is that it is not paradoxical at all.

Paradoxe smells almost identical to Scandal by Night By Jean Paul Gaultier and Poison Girl By Dior. I thought perhaps I was just being picky, but sure enough, each fragrance shares a lot of notes with each other. I believe Paradoxe is the most affordable out of the three, so it would make a great dupe if you're tight on money As for the fragrance itself, it's gorgeous, light and sherbet-y. The fizzy citruses paired with the smooth, creamy neroli and vanilla makes it smell fun and girly without being overly juvenile. I get city girl vibes from it After an hour on my skin, it starts to smell more fresh/green and less sugary sweet

I believe every fragrance that has vanilla needs time to macerate, because at first this comes harsh to my nose because of the bergamot and the amber in the base gives it a bad settle down on the skin but the more it ages it blends so smoothly and turns into the perfect pear, neroli, jasmine blend. I don’t know why but it gives me watermelon vibes too, that’s what keeps me hooked to it I can’t get over it no matter how much I hate bergamot and amber I keep getting addicted to smelling it. If summer in bodrum had a smell this should be it Very summery, clean and confident, the ultimate IT girl fragrance.

This is good stuff! Definitely my most complimented perfume by both men and women. There isn’t anything to compare this to, but to me this is very neroli and jasmine forward. I don’t normally go for florals, but this is beautiful, expensive smelling, comforting, sweet, and feminine. This is a strong one, too. A couple of sprays is all you need and it lasts for hours and projects well. Other people will smell this. This would be my number one date night perfume and it’s suitable year round. I wouldn’t consider this blind but safe; go to ulta and try it out. You’ll buy it.

This perfume is a combination of libre and alien from the very first sniff I immediately noticed ! Love it and for me it's a winter / fall and maybe spring sexy perfume. Not a summer scent at all. I imagine a sexy modern women wears it to a date or maybe anywhere when she feels put together (makeup and hair done) . Although everyone says it's generic and that is 100% true but it still has it's own uniqueness in a way that makes it special and worth buying. I believe that the women who wears it will be enjoying her perfume and she will finish her bottle quickly.

This was love at first sniff. I figured it was this good when I went on two separate occasions to Macy's and it was sold out both times. It had me intrigued, until I took the leap of faith and bought it blindly (travel spray size). Oh my word, it is so good. I had two men telling me how great I smelled in one single day. I don't care if people criticize it because to them it smells like a repeated scent; to me it has its own character and doesn't smell like anything else (this is coming from someone who owns hundreds of perfumes).

Simple, very pretty everyday fragrance. It's generic, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I like generic. I do see the comparison to Libre. It gives the same vibe, but in a different font. This seems girlier and fruitier, but the base gives the same effect. I think if you like Libre and fruity fragrances, this would be a really safe blind buy. If Libre is your signature scent, you may like this to wear in warmer months and then wear libre in the fall/winter. It's a crowd pleasing, easy reach fragrance.

All the negative reviews....dont give a s##t. This is friggin lovely. Tried and just kept coming back. Oh my it's soooo good. Yes it has a similar vibe to My Way, I'dole blah blah blah. It's still different in its own way and guess what???? Those vibes of fragrances are MY FAVOURITES. Like many many other people around the world. Give it a go people. If its not for you, try something else. If it is, Yay! I know it's on my list of signature fragrances right now. Well done Prada!

is the scent ground-breaking? no, the DNA is similar to a lot of fruity sweet floral fragrances. do i still like it? heck yes. it's a sweet baby sister of YSL Libre. It's still got that classy, elegant feels to it from the neroli, jasmine, and orange blossom, but the juicy tangerine and vanilla, amber in the drydown balances it out and makes it smell youthful. i do not get the longevity tho, performance is moderate to me. probably need to try the intense version.

Such an easy to wear, uplifting and warm scent. It brings a smile to my face even on the gloomiest day. The floral notes are rich and enveloping and they last all day with decent projection. I reach for it mostly when I want to feel good and radiate warmth and cheerfulness. People say it's a friendly next door girl kind of a scent, but I'm a mom in my late 40s and my teenage daughter loves it on me. So I guess, wear whatever makes you happy?

Oh my God... everybody who says this is 'generic' is so 'generic'. I'm sick of the same review, word for word, talking about how sweet and strong and overwhelming and gene-... I'm not even gonna say the G word anymore, that's how fed up I am. Please, if you dislike this perfume so much, at least bring something new to the table. Find another flaw, another reason why it offends your precious nostrils so much. Anyways, I love Paradoxe :).

Its giving jasmine, sweet and clean to me. Really powerful scent, it is popular for a reason. On my skin it smells like jasmine and orange blossom. Jasmine is overpowering on me, but i do love it so i dont mind. I am wearing it rn and it did dry down to a beautiful creamy warm vanilla with amber. Amazing parfume. I do have to say that if you cant handle powerful, strong fragrance, stay away from this one. It will give u a head ache :,)

I’m honestly obsessed with this. Clean, bright, feminine, and ridiculously easy to wear. It opens fresh and sparkly, then settles into the softest creamy florals and musks that just work. It smells polished and comforting at the same time — like being effortlessly put together without trying too hard. Perfect for everyday, work, errands, life. I reach for it constantly. Not loud, not challenging — just beautiful, modern, and addictive.

I’m shocked by my taste nowadays. As someone who collects vintage perfumes from all eras and niche fragrances, I don’t know what it is about this one that just attracts me. Maybe it IS generic, but it’s just so.... Sweet, calming and innocent, maybe that’s why I’m drawn to it. I find that I'm starting to appreciate more mass marketed fragrances and designer houses. This is a winner for me and I can see myself reaching for this daily.

This perfume smells really good. Very feminine with a strong sillage. I immediately recognized this perfume as something I own when I walk the streets and someone else is wearing it. So I think the downside of it is that it's really popular. But the upside of it is that it makes you feel so pretty when you when you wear it so I understand why everybody has it. It's quite strong, a little goes a long way and it does last all day.

I bought a small sample of this. Before I even sprayed it, I sniffed it from the bottle and fell in love immediately. In comparison, Valentino DBIR (Intense and Extradose) was SO boring to me. I was expecting to like it more but it fell short. They smell kinda similar in that mass appealing way, but Paradoxe is... fresher? It's more mood boosting for me, especially in the mornings.

I loved this at first sniff. Take the best of My Way & Voce Viva Intensa and there you have it. That's what's in this bottle. A longlasting, juicy, floral, fun, and feminine fragrance. It's mainstream, not boring. If you expect something extremely unique, this probably isn't the one. It's more of a 'girl next door' scent. But, it's the girl next door that everyone has a crush on!

Basic smell, but so lovely and sweet. I love the powdery note. This scent reminds me of one of my distant aunts we used to visit a lot in my childhood, it evokes some kind of nostalgia. Reminds me of Valentino born in Roma. Long lasting which is great. I can still smell it on my wrists and clothes hours and hours after application. I would def repurchase, although a bit pricey.

I got a miniature bottle of this as part of a fragrance edit on LF. I got lots of comments about how nice it is, so I decided to purchase a larger bottle. On the fest spat the neroli is the stronger note, I love bergamot and orange blossom too, it's such an uplifting blend. When it settles it's just a lovely, feminine blend. It's a beautiful perfume.

One of my all time favorites! Not sure why, it gives straight up grape juice on me for the first 10-15 minutes, then settles into the nicest peary benzoin musk. I wish I wasn't so nose blind to it, other people can sense it through out the day and compliment it, being really surprised when I tell them it's Paradoxe.

Longevity is crazy! It’s been almost 24hours since I put some on my wrist, did everyday cleaning stuff in my house and in my RV too, had two showers and it’s still has good amount of scent on my skin! I am very very impressed. The scent is very ambery vanilla with floral.

This is a beautiful fragrance and very similar to Voce Viva Intensa. It's a feminine and uplifting scent for springtime and summer. In my opinion though Paradoxe is a very pricey perfume for what it is. I would not pay full retail for this, its just not worth it.

This is very sweet and floral with a fruity top note. It lasted most of my work day , so that's pretty good. While I really like it and would wear it often, it's pretty pricey for a full sized bottle. Maybe if I see a good sale I'll add it to my collection.

Reminds me of the amazing blooming orange blossom trees in Palm Springs (one of my favorite places to vacation). Immediate spray is orange blossom but gradually turns into a more floral vanilla scent. Very long lasting throughout the day. LOVE IT!

Some fragrances are meant to macerate. This one isn't, use it all up guys. I've had mine for two years and now it smells like a soapy play doh. The floral, creamy sweetness is still there, but it's definitely not what it was before.

This is a really nice smell. It is fruity, sweet, and clean. It does smell similar to other popular perfumes, but they are popular for a reason. I especially like the dry down because the vanilla smell becomes more prominent.

Hear me out.... This is Love’s Baby Soft all grown up!!! It took me a few wears to discover that I love this scent. It’s an easy wear, and fun to layer it with the flankers and other fragrances. And the bottle is beautiful.

Lovely warm ambery vanilla scent. One spray will be subtle but noticeable and lasts for hours. Not too dominant / overwhelming so can be used for all occasions, I'd say better for autumn and winter.

This was such a wonderful scent! it reminds me of a woman who doesn't need a man, but gets them anyways! It has a dry spice on the nose, almost peppery. Beautiful and unique--a must have.

Paradoxe is such a gorgeous floral fragrance. I mostly get the orange blossom and fresh vanilla. Even if you are not a huge fan of florals (like me), still give a chance.

You may think this is generic or not that special, but still it's very beautiful scent. Very uplifting, perfect for any day, but especially spring and summer.

the perfect girly fragrance. All the notes blend together super well and can be used any time of day. Powdery dry down is super sweet too.
