Doppel Däncers

Doppel Däncers opens with a tender iris, very delicate, touched by musk and a hint of sesame warmth. It feels elegant, quietly intimate, and much softer and more wearable than I expected. As it develops, it becomes warmer and slightly steamy, with a soft, earthy sweetness. In the drydown, woods, resins, and a restrained spice begin to glow gently under the surface, giving it depth without losing that softness. I also do not find it as synthetic as another reviewer here mentioned. To me, this fragrance has a private, sensual, and undeniably provocative skin scent. It feels buttery and alluring. It is not dramatic, yet it still radiates sexiness. Doppel Däncers moves with you and releases beautiful little whiffs whenever you move, gesture, or touch your hair. It has a lovely balance between presence and discretion. In fact, it is surprisingly easy to wear, much more than the concept might suggest, and that was a very pleasant surprise. The bottle is absolutely stunning, handmade, like a little hourglass, truly a piece of art. Con: It is really expensive. The 90 ml is $470 and the 45 ml is $310. Also, on the official website, the Discovery Set is not deductible toward a full bottle purchase for U.S. customers, which feels unfair. *Doppel dancers =Doble Dancers. This is such an excellent brand! I'm so happy. I really am. I was beginning to think I wasn't into fragrance anymore because there was not anything inspiring that I was coming across lately. Almost every day I try something new. It's either a new brand or a new sample from an older brand. No matter what I did, I felt uninspired. I didn't really understand why. It was beginning to worry me because there were days when I would try something and I simply didn't care. Guess what? It was them not me! Premier is amazing. This fragrance I have on right now is everything I want and more. High quality. Creamy and silky and elegant and modern. Intelligent. I want to purchase every single one of them and I most likely will. I would not listen to the woman below me. Unfortunately she doesn't know what she's talking about. This is not a basic iris by any means. This is high tension between two dancers. Together creating something beautiful. It's difficult to describe the fragrance because it is more about the notion behind the fragrance instead of the individual Notes. I find this incredibly sexy. It's magic. I would be happy to put my name behind this.

My Signature Choice Doppel Däncers feels like confidence captured in scent, not loud or boastful, but effortlessly magnetic. It opens with that signature Première Peau “cool rush,” a sensation that feels like clean morning air after rainfall. There’s brightness, clarity, and composure in the top notes. As it settles, the fragrance warms beautifully, woods, resins, and a restrained spice start to glow beneath the freshness. It’s refined yet human, elegant yet grounded. The texture reminds me of a barbershop ritual done in a high-end atelier: immaculate, aromatic, masculine in the most timeless sense. Doppel Däncers moves with you, you catch whiffs when you shift, gesture, or remove your jacket. It’s that perfect balance between presence and discretion. A scent for someone who walks into a room and commands attention without needing to ask for it.

Powdery and bubble bath clean scent with added warmth from the sesame! There’s something woody that emerged as the wear time went on. The base is slightly similar to Leau Papier by Diptyque, while the top is reminiscent of Glass Blooms by Regime Des Fleurs. If you like those two, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll like this as well!

Favorite of the brand. A super interesting black sesame note giving a very "wooly" effect. Sensual, quite dirty in the base, picking up a prominent sweat note (Cumin?). Highly wearable. Extremely long lasting.

Very chic, elegant sesame. Surprising, i was expecting something more classic but this is highly wearable and pleasurable. A gem.

Super basic iris that’s been done a thousand times before.

Blasts off with the woody-musky-amber air of a busy perfume store. It does evolve and iris and sesame do eventually play peekaboo, but this scent is going to smell obnoxious to anyone with a sensitivity to those dastardly woody ambers and strong musks. I do agree with some of the positive reviews that characterize this as rich-smelling. It definitely reads as a silky, dirty, buttery skin scent and I don’t doubt it will please many who enjoy scents like Iris Malikhǎn or Blamage. It’s just that it is very potent and eternal so go easy until you know what you’re dealing with. Especially if you’re my uber driver. 1 out of 5.

I got the discovery set and this is the first sample I have tried. We are not off to a good start. I do agree with Florista ... excessive cheap and synthetic ambery woods ruin it for me. It smells like it should cost $50 to my nose, unfortunately. 4/10

The shadow of something pale and cold against silk, light gathering at the edges, overcast. A duel with its back turned, a frozen moment of stillness, each gazing outward, away, the recognition of what lies between dissipating as each follows its gaze inward. Powdery and rooted and chilled, somber as cut stems left too long in cold water, as roots pulled halfway from dark soil, neither fully of the earth nor free of it. The same flower meeting itself from opposite sides of the membrane. Each one a version of the same thing: two that are one, neither fully one thing nor the other, caught in that charged space between. At the back, a molassesy brown sugar darkness, fungal and sweet, the earth already in quiet conversation with what stands above it. Something close to the work of an artist of constructed selves, of thresholds, of becoming and unbecoming: the white mask held to the blank sky, the foliage climbing the legs inch by inch, the landscape making its slow, patient claim on a body that moves through it. A ghost caught between breaths, already deep in tender negotiation with what waits beneath the soil, a surrender so private and so deliberate it feels indecent to witness. The presentiment of something not yet arrived but already, somehow, complete.

Dirty-naughty iris with class. It’s black silk in a bottle. A sexy, shadowy, energy with that toasted sesame buzz (those pyrazines are doing the job). Skin-like, second-skin, but in a couture way. The drydown? Dark woods, cold clarity. Too elegant for going to the bodega. This is a “dinner where you ruin someone” kind of scent. Slay.

Love the fragrance. Love the bottle. Hate the price tag. It’s a beautiful wet/cold Iris that is long lasting and has a hit of warmth from the sesame. I get mostly a cold slightly powdered Iris and some light musk on my skin. It feels earthy and ethereal.
