Flirt

I'd almost forgotten this one. I don't think I ever owed it , though I loved Calyx and bought a lot of Prescriptives cosmetics so maybe I tried it at the counter. I just happened upon a bottle recently and was curious. Both Calyx and Flirt are very representative of the 1990's. Both fresh and aquatic ( above anything the 90's was aquatic, and oceanic !) While Calyx did the whole calone melon, tropical cocktail thing that typified the early 90's, Flirt was an watery green floral. In fact, take away the tropical fruits from Calyx, dial up the middle floral notes and you have Flirt. I honestly doubt really get any violet ( maybe it's the iris ?)! There's freesia and plenty of sharp florals that makes wie think of hyacinths, bluebells and even lilacs,. Maybe a bit more exotic, turquoise waters and warmer climes with, cyclamen and orchid and . It's got a surprising strength for this type of scent for a good hour or two but as it settles the pencil shavings cedar, white musk and generic woody notes remain. Unfortunately it's also quite typical of a lot of 90s aquatic floral in that it has a tendency to turn . I've been lucky with most of mine but when they have you can bet your bottom dollar that it's a 90's aquatic. Pleasures is one that springs to mind and Intuition , L'Eau d'Monteil is a major culprit. Took 3 bottles to find a good one of both of the latters ! No clue why I kept going tbh This isn't too bad, though it's just a brief slight acetone/alcohol whiff at the beginning which fades quickly.. Which brings us to similarities. I think No19 and Calandre are a stretch tbh . Pleasures is a good one for the orchid watery notes ; Intuition and Emerald Dream for the green notes though this isn't fruity ( yes Lauder definitely *adapted " this a few times !) PS the picture isn't wonky. The large sliver ball on the lid is mounted on a flexible wire and bounces around. No clue why !

i still have a full 100 ml bottle of this i bought it when it was first launched .its a super fine bright chypree type of woody floral musky green floraly accord it reminds me a lot of many retro classics lie estee lauder estee that super fine sparkly zesty sparkly silvery accord it also has bits of the metalicness from paco rabanne calandre and the same clean vibes from there is a diffusive like ysl rive gauche that burst of opulence and it has bits from chanel crystle original and the vert version with hints of green acords..to my nose its a super fine fragrance fit for a mid age to mature women confident and extremely powerful. the perfume is suitable for day or night wear lineating towards day evening wear it can also be worn in offices as well as for going out with friends its a versatile perfume but it has tough vibes its like a professional scent it has bits from eternity calvin klein as well without the utter carnation accords i dont have the bottle with me so i could spray it and smell it to review it now but i just wanted to share my olfactory memory about it until i can review it after smelling it directly out of the bottle

I had this back in 2002 and wore it all the time. It's quite an addictive scent and I remember being sad when it ran out. I recently came across a full bottle on eBay by pure happenstance and had to get it immediately. It's one of the 15 ml bottles that lays on its side but I don't care. I'm just happy to have it back in my life.

I dont know understand why this was discontinued when Estee Lauder acquired Prescriptives. This is perfect for a tropical country like the Philippines. I remember, many years ago, after spending time driving around the scorging heat of the city on a summer day, stepped into a bank and was asked by the male manager, what scent I was wearing. Told him what it was and where to get it but had to ask why. He went, " I will buy it for my wife". Now, if that's not a compliment, I do not know what is.

It's in keeping with the vibe of the brand, in that the scent is fresh--but only for a minute. It's one of those florals that sort of gets lost in the shuffle. It kind of turns me off of the genre.

I used to love this perfume. Anyone know a similar scent? Have found Gucci Envy Me to be good. But I miss Flirt. Any suggestions would be great!

I am mesmerized by the variety of notes in this fragrance - the bottle itself is intriguing - but for some reason I wasn't too crazy about it!
