Mongolian Mriga

One of the best from Prin Lomros, astonishing beauty of natural musk It's hard to find a scent from Prin Lomros that I don't like, but this is definitely one of my favorites. The natural musk in this scent is intoxicating. It captures the senses right from the opening, it's deep but soft animalic, it's dirty and yet so gentle at the same time. Its enigmatic character changes from a spicy almost chocolatey combination of musk and oud to a subtle resinous green and earthy aroma from nature. Every time I've worn this, I can't stop sniffing my skin. Musk in its various forms is my soft spot and when it has succeeded in imitating natural musk well or when it really is natural, like here, I'm like in a trance. The flowers in this scent are not distinguishable at all. The spices cannot be distinguished separately either. The greenery is not sharp in any kind of way. The cumin adds a slightly sweaty aroma, but it just enhances the scent, it's utterly sophisticated. No, I don't like the smell of sweat, but "sweaty," as the perfume industry describes the animalistic nuances of Cumin and Caraway, is irresistible. All the notes are perfectly blended and wrapped in a sometimes even sweet musky veil. The aroma is seductive, sensual and sexy. The scent maintains its incredible softness from start to finish and I don't find this to be overpowering or even difficult to wear. Sprayed sparingly, it also doesn't project so much that it would bother others but if you spray it a lot it can be challenging for other people. The scent lasts all day long and it is unisex, but I think I'm in the minority, as women generally don't like to wear these kinds of scents. I think Musk is a scent that is equally attractive regardless of gender. Due to the genuine deer musk, this is unfortunately limited to 150 bottles. I have not sampled the original Mriga so bear in mind that most of what I say here is in comparison with Prin's other 'musk scent' - Onthamara. First things first, the price. 420USD for a 30ml is very steep, even in comparison with other Musk based offerings from Elixir Attar, Agar Aura, Ensar Oud etc. Is is worth it? Well... maybe. It is a musky, piney, slightly floral work of art. The fragrance is clearly built around the Mongolian Musk used here but it does seem to have found its place between the rest of the ingredients. This is in contrast with Onthamara that is, to me, unapologetically a musk bomb. Whilst Mongolian Mriga is a skittish gazelle that feeds on violet blossoms hidden away in pine forests - Onthamara is a big stinking stag that comes over and pisses on your face, in the best possible way. On application the musk jumps out wrapped in a little bit of fir, pine, and what I assume is the choya ral. This is pretty much how it remains, with the rest of the notes coming in and out and adding to the beauty of the fragrance. Despite being musk heavy, it is friendly and perhaps a good fragrance to add to your collection if you are wanting to sample a perfume that utilises real musk in a genuinely beautiful composition. Is it worth the 420USD for 30ml? I am not sure. Obviously, if this is nothing to you then by all means go ahead I guarantee that you will not be dissapointed. For the rest of us I would say - sample ---> decant ---> full bottle. 8/10

Underneath the thick carpet of smog coating the sky, and somewhere far off but nearby the city's pulsing machines, lies a forest, where a single sachet of rose petals have been rained on. Prin Lomros has turned the cozy, musky, somewhat sharply clean and "aged" olfactive qualities of Mriga into a feral, musty, somewhat dank and "ancient" perfume of woods and aromatics. Initially, you get a mechanic's oil rag with one of the nicest—ironically—petrol notes I've ever smelled. The citrus, sage, and pine provide a bright, sharp quality to all the creeping darkness that this fragrance promises. As Mongolian Mriga starts to settle, the patchouli, cumin, oud, and deer musk come out to play with notes of chocolate, soil, and foliage. The scent oscillates between smelling rugged and refined, depending on where you "turn your nose," although perhaps the more appropriate dichotomy at play in Prin's work here is that of the natural and mechanical worlds. As opposed to the more natural, soft, and idyllic profile of Mriga, Mongolian Mriga has an oily, lanolin-like quality to it that smells as if you are a trapper wearing deer skins or a drill operator out in the fields, fracking. For whatever whimsical magic has disappeared with Prin's upgrade on Mriga, a sure lot of fear and ferocity has replaced it. Neither comforting nor transcendent, maybe Mongolian Mriga hits the mark closer to our human nature.

Now this is perfumery at its best. A masterpiece . I love this one. Yes it’s challenging to wear. This one you wear for yourself, to enjoy. I have a sample. I need to get a bottle soon before they sell out. This one is only around til supplies last. If u can afford it, but as many as u can find. Because once it’s gone, prices will soar. And u will be able to sell it for double and triple .

Very nice upgrade to from original Mriga to superior Mriga.Musk here is very potent and in your face.Its spicy and green at the same time.Natural musk is expensive and hence the price.Its beautiful and like someone said it something you wear to enjoy yourself.It will be challenging to wear in public.All you need is one single spray.If you are a fan of natural musk it’s a must try.

A very warm scent. Unlike Onthamara, Mongolian Mriga doesn't have a sweet-chocolate feeling to it. It's so warm that it is almost spicy. Quite challenging to wear it in public. 2-3 sprays on clothes are all I needed for a whole day experience.

Intense dark animalic chypre with a hefty dose of real deer musk. The perfume opens with notes of fir, balsam, hemlock, yuzu, bergamot, cumin and sage. The brief heart has orris, rose, jasmine, costus, choya ral, and Jatamansi. The perfume settles on the animalic deer musk with hints of patchouli, oud, vetiver, and sandalwood. The masculine leaning perfume is very concentrated and has strong projection and sillage. Very feral and quite intimidating, and recommended only for the strong hearted adventurous perfume lover. Mongolian Mriga Prin (Store test, Rebellion) I test this almost maybe a year ago.... I put my nose into this. I was quite a newbie back then; I am not quite sure about which way should I go. But I test out Mongolian Mriga as it contains the real animalic dear musk. I just want to expand my palette but concept of USD 420 per 30ml. price was a little bit abusive for me. I remembered, I put my nose on Mriga and Mongolian Mriga. I notice certain tone difference. The Mongolian Mriga smell significantly warmer. Endless expansion of Animalic aroma leak out; full of details... All I can remember that it smells like my squirrel makeup brush. The musk, I think I am familiar because I like "Fude" (a term to call Japanese brush from animal hair). Fude has various source, goat - squirrel - boar - Wessel. Every make up brushes I put on my face. I always get a whip of animalic tone. I like it, Maybe that why I like Mongolian Mriga... One year pass, I crave the scent. The idea of USD420 for 1oz fragrance seems doesn't bother me anymore. I might, actually land on Mongolian Mriga.

A complex blend of balsamic woods and aromatic herbal essential oils with a musk note reminiscent of Siberian Summer. Very nice citrusy slightly camphorous (sage?) opening with slight incense-wood, hidden florals and touch of fresh musk; like a perfumed green forest. On my skin the opening lasts only a few minutes, leading into a blend of green, woody, aromatic and faintly floral essential oils. Not much projection or sillage on me. After an hour or two the essential oils fade away leaving more of the musk up-front. Urinous musk but not disgusting or gross; softly animalic. The more the fresh, green, balsamic woods and aromatic herbs fade, the more it is replaced with floral incense along with the musk. The longer it lasts, the tamer it gets. Mostly a tenacious skin scent for me near the end, the musk jumping back up with any humidity. I can see this reacting differently other people, also temperature, humidity and surrounding odours could change the experience, playing tricks with some of the natural ingredients.

#sotd Mongolian Mriga by Prin As always, amazing release by Prin. It hits a home run in every department. From the fragrance to performance to sillage and uniqueness, it's a top notch fragrance. I love it ♥️ It opens up with balsamic notes, some tar and loads of untamed, raw musk which is the heart of the fragrance. It's animalic, rough around edges and screams power throughout. Around an hour or so, you get beautiful rose and Jasmine and choya ral is absolutely gorgeous, smokey, leathery, dry woody with some amber undertones. The dry down is all Oud and Musk, there is no alternative of real Musk, and this is prime example right here. It do get some patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood but show stopper has to be the Musk. I, for no reason, would open the bottle and sniff it and smile. One of those fragrances which would make you happy. The performance of this is exceptional, with mind blowing sillage. I can't pin point a single issue with this fragrance. If you haven't tried it, it's worth a shot for sure.

My 30 ml of Prin Mriga came in earlier today. My sample of Mongolian Mriga just came in... The Mongolian Mriga is almost identical to the regular Mriga. There is no sense that the musk is more natural or stronger than Mriga. Regular Mriga is dark, yet balanced more with ozonic freshness. I feel the costus note is stronger here, and makes Mongolian Mriga project a little more. Both fragrances are on the soft side. I 💬 I like regular Mriga better. I smell the conifer more, Black Spruce. And it's a better blend of notes. This 30 ml bottle goes for $420, I think. $200 more than regular Mriga. So definitely not a blind buy. Mongolian mriga is a dark, earthy, coniferous perfume with an amazing musky note that barely crosses a line of inapropriate due to its pissy nature. Closest relative is R&S Musks by Areej, however when first 2 are lighter, brighter, more refined and posh, MMriga is dense, dark, untaimed and wild. I can believe in a 40% concentration that its marketed as. Definitely grab at least a sample. Very good release

So pleased to have scored the last bottle off Luckyscent a while back. The Sillage is KIng Kong- absolutely Nuclear in projection and may offend the unwary.
