Cachet Noir

Spicy (!!!), woody, resinous and animalic. This really does have it all. I find the opening to be quite masculine actually... and comforting. The cinnamon is nice throughout. And the carnation + patchouli combo is one of my favorites. Lovely spicy dry down.... becomes very feminine. And I'll brag on the longevity. Put some on last night and 16 hours later I can still catch a whiff close to the skin. A must try if you like this kind of fragrance!

Love, love. It's spicy, sweet and when spraying i smell chocolate and coca cola. This is the vintage version which is strong and loud. Longtivity is moderate and projection also. The beginning is loud and strong but quickly settles in a smooth, warm and sweet coca cola. The new version is not worth trying it's alcohol and a little undefined perfume with weak longtivity and projection. But the vintage one is really something else.

I'm reviewing the Middle Eastern current version of this fragrance (Manufactured by Mahmood Saeed in Saudi Arabia). It is Cachet but thrown a crapton of well blended woods and spices that the aldehydes barely poke out. If this was repackaged under a more popular and prestigious brand like Arabian Oud it might get more respect in my place. 5 hours on my skin, the patchouli shows in mid but not the annoying type like in Angel and a lot of modern patchouli based frags.

Goes on amazing, almost like old Chantilly and spicy but then gets more chypre and woody then on the total dry down a couple of hours later it goes back to sweet spicy almost like Coca Cola

Sorry that I missed this one back in the 80's. It sounds like something I would have really liked. I love both aldehydes and and galbanum!!
