Monsieur Le Prince Intense

Now that I have secured my third bottle of this beautiful fragrance I can shout out to the rest of the world... Princesse Marina De Bourbon's Monsieur Le Prince Intense is one of my favourite fragrances of all time💖 This might be considered an Aventus clone, but it sits proudly on its own throne. Monsieur Le Prince Intense certainly does have the pineapple and apple notes that will inevitably remind one of Creed Aventus, and there are moments in the dry-down where you know this was clearly inspired by Aventus. I have Creed Aventus, and I love it. This fragrance is almost as great as Aventus. I adore this one so much that I actually bought three bottles. God knows if I am ever going to get to the third 100ml. bottle in my lifetime (I have about 50 other fragrances in my modest collection, some of which don't appear on Fragrantica), but I thought I'd get a bit of security just in case this exquisite, pineapple-dominated fragrance is ever discontinued. You can buy four bottles of Monsieur Le Prince Intense for the price of a single bottle of Creed Aventus. As I mentioned already, I absolutely love Aventus, and I am in no way knocking it. However, I consider Monsieur Le Prince Intense a more "grown-up" take on the Aventus-type formula. Bottom line is, if you like Creed Aventus for the pineapple note, you will love Marina De Bourbon's Monsieur Le Prince Intense. I second all the positive reviews regarding Monsieur Le Prince Intense, and I especially like what AndySmellsGreat wrote below: "I like it better because if say Aventus was the well to do, brash, attention getting but tasteful young night clubber that all the girls want this is its mature sibling in a velvet jacket with a streak of gray hair totally jumping the queue past the bouncers, pinching the girl and showing how its done." #524 in My "Tour de Fragrance" Just when you start to think you'll never smell anything that stands out from the crowd, this really stands out from the crowd! The pineapple is much stronger than Aventus or Club de Nuit, absent altogether from Explorer, Cedrat Boise, Mercedes-Benz Select. Afnan Supremacy Silver and English Laundry London come close, but the sage note in this fragrance gives it a peppery, woodsy quality that embodies the true "fern-like" character fougeres are supposed to embody, and I love it! The notes are very up to date but it still has an undefinable "60's" masculinity, like Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum, or Clive Christian's "1872" and "Iconic Masculin", Parfums de Marly "Ispazon" and "Sedbury", or if you look further down market, imagine Vicky Thiel's "Ulysse" in an Eau De Parfum potency. This is a fragrance that will be respected in an executive environment. Perfect for black tie formal wear, not a casual wear fragrance at all. On a date? Depends I think on the sophistication of your date and reputation of the chef cooking your meal that evening. You don't wear this to Olive Garden. Got this as a sprayette, just ordered a full bottle. Ridiculous bargain price for such a great fragrance. Moderate projection and longevity, midway between EDT and EDP, so I'd respray at lunch, but worth the bother. Now I have to try the rest of this line!

So so great. Almost makes me not want to buy CDNIM.. almost. Like AstralMatrix said it’s close to the king, but not exact. Aventus opens with a much fresher pineapple blast and crisp apple and as it dries down the wood/smoke appears more. LPI opens more woody with stronger citrus than pineapple and as it evolves the wood and citrus mellow.. then the pineapple and light florals start coming through. Amazing. Its blended so well, every time I spray I can’t stop smelling my arm. Top 10 in my collection.. and moves in and out of top 5, even though many consider it a clone. It just smells so good I almost tell myself it isn’t. I’m not like some of the guys/girls on here with 100 plus bottles, but I do know quality. And this is waaaay nicer than the 3 1/2 meals at McDonald’s I paid for it. Crazy. College and up could easily wear this.. casual, work, or formal, but leaning towards a date.. dinner.. less work environment. Day or night, easy. So versatile since it’s not too heavy, but still masculine. Could easily be a signature scent. I haven’t decided on mine.. this might be it. Projection could be better imo and longevity is just decent. With that being said, the scent.. 10/10. Edit: 5/27/2025 I am now one of the guys with 100+ bottles and this still smells amazing. I’m about half way through my bottle and I’ll be getting another. Love it.

Found this at a gift shop. I initially dismissed it as a souvenir gimmick without trying, and walked away. How wrong I was! Since my partner was in the washroom, I decided to try it as I had nothing else to do at the moment. I was pleasantly surprised. Upon first spray, I sensed a very large dose of ambroxan, and something clean and herbal like a *hint* of sage (similar to the sage note in Prada l'Homme). Ambroxan can be great in the heat, so I had no qualms. As the dry down progressed, I was surprised by fruity notes! The scent seemed familiar....but I couldn't quite place it.... Aventus. It's built around the Aventus DNA. Unlike CDNIM, Monsieur le Prince Intense has a smooth opening. Its dry down is quite mellow, and one can expect a linear fruity ambroxan skin scent after the first hour or two. All in all a very pleasant version of Aventus - refreshing, smooth, gentle and a very good price especially if purchased from discounters.

i had a chance to test this on paper strip. i barely smell anything except citrusy alcohol. i's hard to detect the scent. then i tested it at my wrist. still, it's so hard to detect. i had to sniff it very close to my nose, so it's low projection. anyway, the scent remind me of Aqva Bvlgari. but MLPI is weaker, softer, lighter, without that seaweed notes. a little bit fruity imo. i decided that MLPI wasn't special...then i went to the gym, sweaty all over, and i smell something wonderful, very weak though. smooth. so i guess it's the drydown. suddenly, i love it. i'm not good at picking any notes, but it's woody, floral, clean, soft, a very safe pleasing scent. maybe it's kind of skin scent. see, i'm new to this kind of perfume world, not many perfume i ever smell, but MLPI is wonderful to me. maybe it's generic for you...but i'll hold somebody any longerrrrrrr if he ever smell like this.

Wonderful Just wonderful It is Creed Aventus brother with more apple than pineapple it is less smoky it is smooth and lovely. It dose not scream for attention it is more quiet and settle down version. Monsieur Le Prince Intense drys down to high quality woody fragrance with creed signature Dry down. But do not expect this perfume to be like creed Aventis it is something similar but it could be much better for some people especially if you don’t like something loud and screaming like Aventis. Monsieur Le Prince Intense is more royal and has very natural quality to it. Scent 10/10 longevity 6/10 just like creed performance never pass 4 hours Projection 6/10 it can project a foot long only

Great name for a brand, great bottle, at the beginning alcohol dominates the opening ,fallowed by sage , velvet, lemon , green apple , and musk, projection is medium, and longevity is also medium,this is a good formal or office scent just dont judge it before 30 minutes have passed, and it smells very different in the air than on the skin so be aware of that fact. For the 30 dollars i paid for it its not bad at all, great fragrance for summer night's out, ages 30 and up.

Frutiy, floral, woody....kind of in the sale vein and ballpark of Aventus but, not as similar as the others so called “clones”. Skin scent, a few hours of longevity. Forget about Sillage on this one. Now, on the positive side of the equation, it is very smooth indeed, not chemical, not harsh. If only it lasted longer and projected more. Edit: with more uses, I realized the problem is not longevity, 9 hours easily, is just projection.

I'm not sure why this one doesn't get the hype of its armaf and al haramain counterparts. This one is less harsh to open and although it sits a bit closer to the skin it comes across as more natural! This runs about 20 dollars more than the aforementioned options. That being said, it is worth worth a look for those that are turned off my the opening of CDLNI or the slightly sharper citrus feel of L'aventure. Cheers

This underrated perfume. It smells like Creed Aventus, but with a really nice citrusy twist. The drydown is even better. It's perfect for hot weather and actually smells even better when you sweat. People will definitely notice.

This is definitely close to Aventus but obviously not as strong. Pretty damn good I must say. If you can't afford Aventus then try this. A must have to your collection.

Truly amazing fragrance, it's been a while since I encounter something good like this so grabbed without hesitation.

***Edit 7/10/24*** I suppose we all need a healthy dose of crow in our diets, and I am no exception. After writing what was by far my most critical review, I have now come to endear this scent. While I can admit my change of heart, it is difficult to convey what exactly has changed. I stand by my initial review - This does not smell fruity or sweet to me. Nor is it overtly woody or musky. Perhaps the best way to describe it is by saying what it is not. It is not powdery like most leather scents. It is not floral whatsoever. Nor is it funky or pungent, like the traditional nature of most musks. The citrus is crisp but understated, not sour, not clean or deodorant-y. It is aromatic without being gourmand (no loud baking or savory spices). It is woody without being overgrown (no linear, overbearing amber trail). It is aloof and misunderstood in a quiet way that compels attention. And now that I have seen it, I cannot look away. ***Initial Review, 4/12/24*** First Pass - Strong citrus (maybe lemon?). Savory spice (coriander?). Very clean. Hint of musk. Hint of wood. 1 Hour Later - What happened? Affrontingly and overwhelmingly acetone. Undertones of soap and a little more musk. Citrus, wood, and spice notes have disappeared. 2 Hours Later - It’s hard to find anything pleasing here. If you can remember playing with tubes of Pogs as a child, this scent will be immediately recognizable. Hot plastic, hair spray, astringent paint, and a touch of musty cardboard. The build is almost useless. Where is the fruit? Where is the sweetness? The only facets that are identifiable (to me) are the citrus bergamot and the soapy notes (powdery leather and floral jasmine). I also got a savory spice, which might have been sage, and a brief hint of woods & musk. Overall - When I review a fragrance I try to keep an open mind and explore as many notes as I can perceive. Like anyone else I have my own predilections and subjective experience, so I recognize what may be pleasing to me, may very well be off-putting to others. That said, this is the most unredeemable, objectionable, malodorous concoction I have ever encountered. I cannot find anything admirable about this fragrance, nor can I imagine anyone anywhere that would voluntarily submit to smelling like this. While there are definitive similarities between Le Prince Intense and Aventus, I think it's got too much going for it to simply pass it off as a clone. This one has character I haven't found in any other so-called Aventus clone, even the more expensive ones. Lest all the fanboys pillory me with grief forthwith, I'll just get this disclaimer out of the way: Aventus is wonderful. I've owned several bottles, know it well and love it... BUT, I have to admit it's pretty much linear and simple in what it brings to the table, for better or worse. Le Prince Intense, on the other hand, takes the pineapple brightness of the more fruit-forward Aventus vintages and adds further depth and nuance to it, evoking other complimentary fragrances along the way. And while the journey admittedly doesn't last terribly long (as with Aventus, honestly), it's a very enjoyable ride while it lasts. At the top, LPI presents as 90% fruity Aventus, minus that trademark smoky birch (that is often missing in newer batches anyway). As LPI dries down, something else sneaks out that reminds me of the incensy mandarin accord of Aqva Amara, mingled with that Aventus - it's a novel combination that adds nice depth and really works. This is where it becomes clear that LPI is no clone but more like a flanker. About 2-3 hours into the dry down, LPI becomes more of a skin scent, but it continues to evolve during this time into a vanillic woodsy (heavy ISO-e) combination almost identical to Secret Temptation by Antonio Banderas - which is one hell of a pleasant surprise finish to be honest. This one's got character! It smells great at every stage of its evolution. Aside from longevity issues (which seem like all the rage these days), I love the nuance of LPI and definitely see this as a frequent go to for date nights or casual hang outs alike. I highly recommend it!

WOW - I'm smiling so much! I don't care for the note description let me tell you how I think it rocks... I own Aventus - love it - this is better!!! Aventus is Aventus - in comparison it is slightly more in your face and to me actually more synthetic (I disagree with any Armaf comparison - I believe all the Armaf I have purchased have clearly been an inferior nastier clone of whatever it was meant to be - its a budget solution). I agree with Johnnyfranchise below - this is a higher quality alternative than l'adventure and Armaf. For the first 10 minutes has to me a calm woody boozy note. It feels like a Walnut and Hazelnut with a dab of Cognac or maybe even bourbon - so unique I struggle to think of any perfume with such a beautiful comparable note. After 15 minutes the Aventus starts creeping to the front as the afore mentioned dries down in to the background. From this point beyond an arms distance it whiffs of Aventus/Pineapple but closer or as a trail you get that lovely warm note - hmm - definitely like a hazelnut hit - its like Aventus has soaked in a Cognac Barrel before being bottled! I like it better because if say Aventus was the well to do, brash, attention getting but tasteful young night clubber that all the girls want this is its mature sibling in a velvet jacket with a streak of gray hair totally jumping the queue past the bouncers, pinching the girl and showing how its done... Both have their place - Aventus is brighter - for summer - MDB for winter - easy... Sillage is a creeper - I get decent whiffs 5 hours later and I've been reminded I smell good when I can't smell it. A very serendipitous purchase. I've now tried a number of Marina De Bourbon scents which have all been quality though not exceptional - this one is the go to for MDB. Happy Smelling

I like the scent but it’s basically a fruity musky pineapple with a little touch of smoke. Definitely an Aventus inspired scent. But this is closer to the Aventus dna. Missing depth of the base mossy notes but the Aventus top and mid are here. Funny thing about it is that it’s an intense but it’s not. Even og Aventus performs better, atleast on me anyway. But with a price like that, I can definitely see this being a good grab for most.

Pineapple, vetiver and musk beautifully blended with other supporting notes such as jasmine and bergamot to smoothen things out. I really love it and it's not very obnoxious line my CDNIM nor L'Aventure. Instead it's personable and sticks to you as a skin scent for a long time. It's not big projector though but still beautifully blended in a gorgeous bottle. It is much smoother than my Mont Blanc Explorer as well. I love it

kind of smells like a slightly blue take on aventus in the drydown just to my skin, kinda almost like a watered down elysium, it’s not bad but just a little too non performing on my skin. Overall very solid fragrance though easily a 7.5 pretty safe. Insta is nicdahomie if anyone is willing to trade.

Anyone else getting a strong alcohol smell in the opening? It lasts up to the dry down where it turns into an awesome scent. I wish longevity was better. I find myself using this when I'm in the mood for Aventus, but don't want to waste the juice just hanging around the house or the gym.

Great alternative aventus vibe, but the longevity on my skin got 9 hours ++, very versatile perfume,blind buy safe, 3-5 spray is enough for daily uses

It's a aventus clone just super weak .

Scent is great for sure, aventus DNA, bergamot with some pineapple and a smoky leathery feeling underneath, but its not strong. It's not oakmoss birch and smoke heavy like some other aventus interpretations. But the performance and longevity is atrocious. How can it be so weak ? Really don't know what to do with this. I guess that ill use 20 sprays before 30-60 minutes errands or short walks. This perfume cannot be used for going out, by the time you get out of the car it'll be over.

The opening is very much fruity Aventus like but the dry down after about 15-30 mins changes to something else. This fragrance has beautiful opening but doesn't last on my skin. It's affordable but there are better options out there for similar price.

Better than insurrection pure, but is more herbal. I find it rather unpleasant during the dry down and longevity very poor 1 hour with poor composition. I do not recommend you try this, because you will likely have to blind buy it. L aventure by Al Haramain is much better smelling and lasts much longer for 30 dollars. club de nuit intense by armaf , if you don't mind synthetics and want something more smokey and loud for close to 25. It has the tasty pineapple opening that I wish CDNI had instead of that super tart lemon. I don't even really consider this an Aventus clone because it doesn't quite have that lovely pencil-shaving birchwood note that is central to both Aventus and CDNI. As mentioned below the drydown is very herbal, and there's something else in there that I find very distinct that only middle-aged Americans and younger will get, but there's no other way to say this: under the herbal accord there's a "Trix-in-milk" note/accord as it dries. For the uninitiated Trix is a fruity cereal for kids in the US, and was a favorite of mine in my youth (and through to college, let's be honest) - I absolutely smelled it as soon as it started to drydown and now there's no way I can't think of it when I smell this on me. Not that it's a bad thing - far from it - but I do use scents to set my own mood and that accord means I'll never wear this to work again, this will be a weekend, just waking up, "let's have a fun day off" fragrance for me. UPDATE: that Trix-in-milk accord was more of a transitional, middle accord - I guess it was the musk notes combining with the remaining sweet fruit notes to produce that fruity/creamy accord. Now that it's fully dried down to the base notes this is much closer to the woodsy Aventus/CDNI drydowns - though still not that distinctive birch, more of a typical, darker wood note.

The scent can't be faulted, however its longevity and sillage leaves a lot to be desired. I would give this scent 10/10 however for performance I would only give 3/10 for longevity and sillage. This fragrance is supposed to be an eau de parfum formulation but it performs like an eau de cologne Thirty minutes after I applied this fragrance, it already a skin fragrance. On a packed train the collective body odor of my fellow travellers can be a bit challenging so I often apply a few extra sprays. With most of the fragrances in my collection 4-8 sprays is sufficient to create a soft scent bubble, however with Le Prince, I need a minimum of 15+ sprays. By the time my commute is over, its already a skin scent. Applying the same amount on the return trip and you are looking at over 30 sprays If this was a cheap scent, that wouldn't be a problem, however at this current rate of application I could easily churn through a bottle every two months or so.

This is Insurrection ll Pure's better looking twin brother.....being an Aventus fan (obsessed), I had to give this a shot. At first spray, it reminded me of the famous Z01 batch. I was shocked at how it reminded me so much of Aventus. It then turns into a better version of Insurrection ll Pure. Think of Aventus without the smoke and birch. Not bad. Longevity and sillage above average. Its pretty simple: Don't expect Aventus. There is only one Aventus. This is, however in my opinion, the best version of Aventus without being $300.

Initial impression. Just received my bottle today. Nice pleasant aventus type smell. As others have mentioned longevity and projection are weak. update. forgot to say nice solid bottle. update 2021 february. Got some positive reactions wearing this, light scent for me, nice. Happy to have it. Solid heavy bottle.

This is a Elysium clone not Aventus. The apple pineapple and sage combo must be mimicking a grapefruit scent. Kinda harsh and unnatural in the opening but thats the trade off when dealing with clones. Worth checking out if you want to have a daily use of Roja without breaking the bank.

Let me save someone some money here: this is not Aventus. Only part that maybe even comes close is the opening. Tested these side by side by the way. I understand that people don’t like Aventus prices but if you want to smel like Aventus, buy Aventus. It’s that simple.

This smells wonderful..kinda a classier version of CDNI...on the drydown this is definitely aventus..safe to blind buy..however this is a fragrance that you have to spray on your clothes as well as performance on skin is just average👍
