Symbol Eau de Parfum

The Princess of Bourbon brand had some good feminist perfumes unfortunately for them, they often created besides, even coming out of the noble area, for a mainstream area, for girls... concerned with things other than self-esteem and career strength and then of course the feminist clients buying and not being satisfied gave up Too bad, Blue, Asteria, the original Reverence were good perfumes. In recent years, due to poor results, I think, they have reoriented towards the Orient area and of course they created perfumes in that way, the feminists there, the few of them, were not their targett. I also abandoned the brand then and I didn't even smell it through perfumeries, but a good friend started at some point to insist with Symbol from Marina de B, I admit that I was not sure about, especially since she was never sprayed with it, but I was curious so before the holidays I would equip myself with a mask and gloves and I went to test it, the problem was that I did not know that there are two Symbol perfumes, this one from 2019 and Symbol Royal from 2020, which even if it looks exactly the same, the smell is totally different Of course I ended up testing the 2020 version without knowing it, and I was left with a nauseating and sweet praline on my neck where you also put a pear created like in La vie est belle...I was so upset that I called my friend and asked her what she sees so beautiful in a perfume like that, I even ask her if finally after so many years of high banking career, all that numbers managed to drive her crazy. Of course that in an amused reply, she told me that the numbers didn't drive her crazy nor even the excise tax because of Covid did that, but she is sure I take the virus, only it didn't cut my senses, it turned them upside down. I insisted so much that it's a horrible perfume with praline, nothing feminist in it , so she put her own perfume in an envelope and sent it. The next day the perfume had reached the winter colds from Bern to Geneva. When my assistant brought it to me, I didn't even know what it was, when I opened it and saw the perfume I almost threw it away , I refused to put it anywhere on my skin or around me, but my dear Claris offered herself amused to be a guinea pig. She sprayed it on her hand, and reluctantly raised it to her nose... "hmm white flowers" she sad "Pardon, what flowers? Are you tired dear?" At her insistence that she don't even feel the praline, I let her approach, ready to drown again in that sickly sweet smell, but surprise nothing like that came. It was a very powdery green white floral with something like a Cedar behind the notes. It then evolved into a jasmine covered with tuberosis, so it does not give a headache, and then went into a vanilla conifer. I was shocked, we don't understand what I smelled, I had to go to their site to finally understand what happened, because here on Fragrantica the other perfume did not appeared and its notes had nothing to do with what I had smelled. Finally I found out, I placed an order to my friend house with a new bottle and something extra to apologize and I kept her perfume bottle, which I wore it for an entire week, not only because of the shock, but because I really liked it, I even bought one for Claris because she like it too and I like to feel the smell around me 🤫. It's a truly feminist scent, a green tuberose, not indolic, the jasmine is good, and that coming from a jasmine hater is something, the open notes are very cloudy, a sweet green, it really has a honeyed scent, like a pollen type, but that's because of the honeysuckle, or as we say in Europe the Virgin Mary hand flower. The ending is very similar to 5th Avenue one. In conclusion, it is a perfume forum a "grand Madame" for a strong, elegant woman, I see it worn every day, on an ordinary day of work, it is not a perfume that punches the table, but it is vertical, sober, linear, cold and distant ... feminist. But be careful how much you spray because it is very strong.

I bought Symbol because I fell in love w/ the bottle when I saw it, plus white florals are a pretty safe blind buy for me since I adore them. Symbol is a very lovely white floral perfume that smells quite similar to Gucci Bloom, but I think it is stronger and has more presence. Gucci Bloom (the original) is a bit flat for me, pretty but lacking depth. Symbol has more going on. The top note of syringa might be it, I do get an almost white lilac smell w/ this. White lilacs are very fragrant, we had one on our farm and I loved sitting underneath it when I was growing up. They actually smell stronger than the purple lilacs and that smell memory is coming back to me while I am smelling this perfume. This is a very bright and clean white floral perfume. Symbol gives me more gardenia than tuberose vibes. Gardenia fragrances tend to be very clean. Tuberose fragrances tend to be animalic and Symbol is as clean as newly laundered white sheets. Honeysuckle is very strong here as well and it smells like the honeysuckle in Gucci Bloom. This is a very strong white floral perfume and should be sprayed w/ care. It could be overwhelming is over sprayed. If you like very clean and bright gardenia perfumes w/ a hint of white lilac and honeysuckle Symbol something to check out. Also, if you like Gucci Bloom but the price tag it to high give Symbol a try instead. I think you will be very happy you did considering the price difference. I would also like to add that I got this beautiful perfume for $30 on FragranceX.com In my opinion this whole line would make excellent inexpensive gifts. The bottles are very elegant and stately. I am tempted to buy the Royal flanker as well but I dislike praline notes in perfumes. Edit: 6/23/22 I would like to add that I do see the comparisons to Gucci Bloom (original) w/ Symbol. This perfume is like you took a bit of Vilhelm's A Lilac a Day and added it to Gucci Bloom. I've tested both of those perfumes and I found A Lilac a Day to be to green for my taste and Gucci Bloom to be a bit to linear and flat. But Symbol in my opinion takes the best points of both of those fragrances and combines them. I also own Kim K perfume and that is sweeter than Symbol because of the mandarin orange and the vanilla, there is also a clear orchid note in Kim's perfume that is not present in Symbol.

I Purchased symbol on-line just base on notes, I’m tuberose lover. This is very classic tuberose, if you like your tuberose sweeter and more modern like GA My Way you may find this tuberose bit tart, reminds me of Michal MK type of tuberose, I absolutely love this perfume, to me smells like home coming, like something I always knew, classic, clean, melancholic and dreamy. Dry down is bit sweeter thanks to honeysuckle but soapy jasmine is more prominent. Bottle is stunning, feels more expensive than any high end brands. Longevity is mind blowing, I spray my self generously 7:30 in the morning after shower, at 6pm I took brief quick shower before my aqua class and after class I do lap swim and guess what, every time I turn to swim in opposite direction I get whiff of Symbol, crazy!

I came across this wonderful perfume when strolling through The Palace of Versailles. The bottle itself looked so fulfilled with royal spirit and elegance. And the first spray, mmmm, I felt like Marie Antoinette in The Hall of Mirrors. Full of femininity and softness with a touch of mystery. It's been one of my favorite fragrances ever since. It takes me back to Versailles, to the beauty of frescoes, and magic of that place. Perfect for early autumn. When The Sun is still brightly shining and playing with its warm rays on my cheekbones. Do I need to convince you even more? I love Symbol so much!! Get it gurl!! ;)

Better than Gucci Bloom, even my beloved Bloom Profumo di Fiori flanker. It’s just a touch sweeter than Gucci Bloom, and without the incense note. Perfection. It projects about the same as Bloom, but lasts longer (although not more than 6 hours). Bloom and all the flankers have abysmal performance so this is truly a step up in every way.
