Symbol For A Lady

It’s similar to Chanel eau Tendre, just little bit smoother and dry down is just sweeter, Tendre has sharper stronger opening, but prominent quince and hyacinth are in both playing nicely exactly the same, which is what I love about it. Unfortunately doesn’t have good staying power as yellow symbol has, which is 10 hours monster on my skin, pink symbol gives barely 4 hours on skin, I was hoping for better performance. If I see it on sale I’m totally getting it, it was on fragrancenet for $40 /3.4 oz ( sold out for now), not worth of paying full price because is weak. EDIT: so I have it for few weeks now, I’m liking it but not loving it. I usually complain about frag being too sweet, but in this case I wish it was sweeter.UPDATE: well it performs very well in humid weather and it’s sweet enough for those hot days, feels very fresh and not as dry as in the winter, I love it as a summer perfume. Staying power improves in humid hot weather too, so maybe this isn’t my last bottle after all😝.

I heard this was a dupe for Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and the notes intrigued me. The price, of course, can’t be beat as well. I LOVE this scent. I would definitely describe it as soft and soapy. Just the right amount of sweetness (I usually can’t stand overly sweet perfumes). Really smells like a wonderful bubble bath with great longevity. A very safe blind buy for anyone who likes soft, feminine fragrances. I hope it gets more attention!

This does remind me of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, although I don't own the Chanel and have only smelled it in stores. This is a sweet floral with some musk, but it isn't obnoxiously sweet. I really only smell the citrus initially, and it completely goes away for me in the drydown.

I bought Symbol for a Lady and the Original Symbol because I really like the bottles and I also thought they would be safe blind buys. Plus, they are very affordable. I have to say I was impressed w/ the bottles straight away, heavy beautifully etched glass w/ heavy metal gold caps. Very elegant looking. Now on to the smell of the fragrance... Symbol for a Lady is a very bright and uplifting floral. It is crisp, clean, and on point. The quince is a real standout in the top and throughout the duration of the fragrance. The iris and hyacinth in here are well represented, very realistic to the flowers in the garden, but they are new blooms, still green and just opened. The Cedar adds yet more crisp greenness in the dry down. This stays linear and truly a green floral for the life of the fragrance. I usually have a hard time w/ green floral perfume but this one is very pretty, not harsh and very wearable. This would be a great summer office perfume, as it has a very professional quality to it. Not really me in the slightest LOL but I do like it a lot and will wear it during the hotter months in spring and summer. If you like Crisp and clean florals this is a great value, long lasting as well. Edit: 6/27/22 I would like to add this is slightly powdery from the iris (don't know why I didn't mention that before) but it is not a very powdery fragrance. Why that is listed as the main accord I don't know.

If you are loving fresh, fruity scents - this is juicy and tart quince and grapefruit. Iris softens it after a while and other floral notes sweeten it. It remains very refreshing, summery. To my surprise, after 3-5 hours it turns warm, sweet and comforting. Nearly gourmand. It's a fluffy musk, warm wood and as if vanilla tinged amber, maybe the jasmin retains the sweetness. The base makes it versatile, even during winter such finish is pleasant. While the top is up to you - if this fruity, refreshing simplicity brings you joy - why not use it all year? The bottle looks lovely, too.

(Máximo 5h em mim) Esse marmelo cítrico de saída e corpo floral adocicado e almiscarado com o cedro arredondando tudo, é absurdo de bom. Não conheço o Chance eau Tendre, e tenho até medo de conhecer e fazer dívida, porque com o Symbol for a Lady já me apaixonei, dizem que o Chanel é ainda mais redondinho. Meu namorado sente cheiro de maçã na saída e ama essa fragrância conforto em mim. Acho extremamente feminino, meigo e limpo. E mesmo tendo essas características inocentes e joviais, é uma fragrância para todas as idades! Já que sinto uma certa sofisticação quando é usado por mulheres mais velhas.

It's a floral perfume, slightly sweet, fresh, clean, and musky. I know Chance Eau Tendre and I was shocked by the similarity between them. However, there are subtle differences; Symbol For A Lady is softer and more powdery. To my nose, the Chanel one has a more citrusy touch, while Symbol For A Lady is more delicate, more softened. At the opening, I smell the aromatic quince and the citrus of grapefruit, but soon after, the sweet and musky floral body takes over. As it develops, the cedar adds even more freshness to the fragrance, and it remains linear, fresh, floral, and comfortable from beginning to end. Highly recommended.

I think the cedar may be what is pulling too sharp on me, but Symbol for a lady comes across on me as a biting citrus-musk-floral. Clean and fresh and confident more than it is sweet or alluring. It reminds me of a less sweet and sharper version of Jessica Simpson Fancy Love.... or a similar Burberry. I should mention that I don't smell good in the Chance line to which it is compared either! This could be lovely on the right skin. On me it is substantially less femme than the original Symbol, which is sweet and feminine indeed. :) Certainly, both are lovely bottles and impressively good values.

This is a fruity floral very much in the same vein as Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. The two both feature grapefruit and quince as their top notes, and hyacinth as a middle note. To my nose Chanel has more of a tangy bite while Marina is more tender (despite Chanel naming itself 'tendre', haha). Chanel carries almost no sweetness, and Marina differs from it by having an energetic sweetness. Energetic, as in the opposite of the sticky, cocooning gourmand type of sweetness. Longevity and sillage underperform for an EDP.

I was instantly reminded of my mother when spraying it - it's exactly like Chanel chance eau tendre. Coming from a person who is not looking for a dupe and is sincerely surprised that my mom's scent can be found in the "wrong" bottle for much cheaper haha. Going to gift her a tiny bottle and see how she likes it. Edit: She loved it.

Really good dupe for Chance Eau Tendre. I was shocked at first smell how similar they are. This one is softer, more powdery, a little bit less fresh and more princess-like. It has something in common with Irresistible by Givenchy.
