Tiwa

When reading the perfumer's notes, I get the impression that this supposed to be a reflection of the light, airy, open, and intensely fragrant life that is life in the Thai countryside. I have not visited, yet alone lived in, the Thai countryside so I can not judge it in terms of that, but it is 100% light, airy, open, and intensely fragrant. I love this. Tangerine, Basil,Lime, and Petitgrain jump out to me on the opening - very, very, very herbal and fragrant. I wish that there was a plant whose blossoms carried this smell. This does not appear to change much whilst wearing it, some notes disappear just to appear later in a slightly morphed form, obviously the high citruses fade over time, but they still assert their presence at dry down. Very nice and fullbottle worthy for me. Would love to wear this whilst working in the garden or going on a long walk through the woods. 8.5/10

Listened to the Hype recently regarding Thai perfumers Strangers Parfumerie (which has blown me away), Prissana and Prin and made blind full bottle purchases together with samples. All scents I have/tried distinctly impressed me for the quality - surpassing most I know for price v volume. I purchased Thichilla, Tom Yum and this Tiwa being the full bottle. As amazing as it smells virtually all of these scents are basic interpretations of classic colognes with a Thai twist. One smelled like Hermes Concentre D’Orange for example and this like a traditional Citrus Cologne like Eau Sauvage. I enjoyed it and respect it but unless you have an extremely good nose you really would not see the benefit of the Thai variation over one of so many competitors that might be better value. I know I can smell the difference but I guess for me and for the price when I open up my cupboard and look at Di Ser Akanesasu (itself another arguably too expensive variation), Dior Eau SAUVAGE, Strangers Oliver and say Santa Euliua Citric this is where I would say I just can’t justify the price for the difference. I would just stick with ES, Oliver and Citric that have enough difference in smell, performance or price to justify. If HOWEVER YOU don’t have a heavyweight performer in this category however I would thoroughly recommend this or for that matter Oliver or Citric.

You're a pack of Necco Wafers candy, just sweet enough, with a citrus tartness and a soapy, dusty crunch. Tiwa by Parfum Prissana.

Unique fragrance, as most are from this house. I definitely get the celery seed and lime, which is unusual and unfortunately not something I would wear on any occasion. Performance could be better too.
