Versilia Platinum

Versilia Platinum is a bold, sort of severe, woody-resinous fragrance that opens with an extremely efemeral green-citrusy accord (bergamot and grapefruit). Incense takes over right away joined by a considerable amount of powerful cedarwood. In this phase there's an overall peppery quality that drives the fragrance towards a modern territory while some floral patterns add great complexity and preserve Platinum from becoming the typical woody citrus. The drydown is extremely deep and intense with woods galore and incense joined by a remarkable immortelle/vetiver accord adding even more body and just a tad of sweetness to what could have otherwise been an extremely sharp fragrance. The fragrance's evolution ends at 8hrs mark with a close to the skin yet incredibly increddibly noticeable immortelle note that's simply beautiful. Modern? Yes, most definitely but at the same time you shouldn't expect something a-là Comme Des Garcons or Etat Libre D'Orange. This is more like a better refined and natural smelling version of Escentric 01 (not Molecule 01) Challenging? Maybe. The strong cedarwood together with a massive frankincense presence and the immortelle won't surely appeal to anyone and may, in ceratin cases, bring to mind of woody amber. Despite being often marketed as feminine, I would definitely classify this as an intense masculine that will appeal to anyone into bold and distinctive woody fragrances. Rating: 8/10

For anyone who's a huge fan of this beast, I've got an extra bottle of it that I'm willing to part with. 100ml EDP And yes, the stuff is nuclear.

يستوحى صانع هذا العطر فكرة الانتقال السلس بين الاضداد او المتناقضات مستغلا الطبيعه الساحرة وجغرافيا المكان مادة طيعه لابتكار عطره فيقول فى مذكراته: ( ها انا الان اصعد قمم جبال الالب فى على شاطى مدينة فيرسيليا الايطاليه ... اتامل بعينى منظر البحر واجد نفسى غارقا فى التامل بين عالمين مختلفين...بين الشمس التى تصهر رمال الشواطئ وتعكس اشعتها على جبال الرخام ورائى ... وبين زرقه البحر الرائعة والتجلى الاخضر لغابات الكستناء ....تخيلت هذا المشهد وانا افكر ان اصيغه بكل تفاصيله فى عطر يجسد هذه الروعه ...عطر يحمل بداخله هذه الاضداد عطر يتمايز بغموضه و عبيره الساحر ليقف بقوه متفردا ويستحق ان نضع باسمه احد اغلى المعادن واكثرها تألقا ..... البلاتين ...فكانت هذه تحفتى "فيرسيليا بلاتينوم "). الغريب والعجيب ان ما يقال عن هذا العطر ستلقاه حقيقة عند شم رسغك ...فالعطر ينتقل بين مراحل ثلاث ...مرحله حمضيه تابليه ثم مرحلة زهريه خضراء ثم اخيرا مرحلة خشبيه . يبدا العطر بشكل حاد لكنه منعش بتواجد البرجموت والجريب فروت مكسبة العطر اطلاله حمضيه مختلطه بالفلفل الاسود والوردى ثم تدخل الورود سريعا مع زنابق الوادى وزهور الجيرانيوم والفريزيا مكسبة العطر طبيعه زهريه خضراء محببه كل ذلك يتناغم مع الفيتيفير واشجاز الارز ولمسات من البخور والباتشولى تصحبك حتى انتهاء العطر فى حضور المر والفانيلا لاكساب العطر عمقا وتاثيرا وبقاءا . فوحان العطر و ثباته جيد جدا يدوم لاكثر من 10 ساعات لكنه يقع ضمن العطور المركبه الغامضه التى تحتاج جوها الخاص و قد لا تستخدم بشكل يومى ..العطر به لمحات من تيغ دى ارميس فى بعض مراحل العطر لكنه اكثر غموضا . سعر العطر عالى حوالى 250 دولار

Versilia Platinum is excellent insence-green perfume with the longest projection and monster sillage that can not be qualified as some kined of citrus or woody regular perfume. It is something monumental. It started from sharp sour green pepper note which keeps the first three hours. Then it turns into a luxurious bouquet of citrus, trees and incense. Very strong perfume, strong as steel bottle.

I think alfarom hit the spot. Versilia Platinum needs more attention. Very good incense-resinus-woody aroma that stays on skin about 8h. When i first sniff this i thought about Comme des Garcons or Terre d'Hermes. This is definitely more musculine. I don't find this metalic. If you like incense-woody fragrances then take a risk and try this.

This is Terre de hermes EDT with a sweet resinous drydown,Nothing more to say.Nice silage though
