Sabbia Bianca

I finally figured out where this fragrance belongs in my collection! For the longest time, I couldn't place this. However, I kept coming back to it. There is a certain beauty that is very difficult to capture. And this one has. I'm not sure if any of you do this, but I associate my fragrances with certain visuals or memories in my mind. It doesn't have to be a particular experience, it could also just be an image I created in my head. And it hit me tonight! It's pitch dark outside. I'm at the beach. Somewhere in Italy by myself. Watching the waves gently crash in and out. You can barely see the pristine White sand at your feet. It's calm outside. You feel a sense of nostalgia for a moment that you don't quite know, but you know you have felt it before. The beautiful Night flower. Tuberose. It's all coming together now. This fragrance is not tropical at all. It's not for hot summer days or bright sandy beaches. Not at all. Sabbia Bianca (White sand) is for the night wanderers. For the lonely people. Although it is not listed, there is a gentle back note of mint that provides the gentle breeze as if you are right at the sea. It's a masterpiece that never ever ever gets mentioned in the current fragrance community. And it's sad. We are always on to the next one onto the new one. I don't think we give enough time. This is my favorite house hands-down. Almost every single fragrance in their collection could be considered fantastic if not a masterpiece. I already have 20 from this house I think it's time to get another one.

Bought a sample of the new Sabbia Bianca and I’m so disappointed with what they’ve done to her. :( It’s like they’ve taken the original, kept the same core flowers, but made it MURKIER, cheaper smelling and abrasive with whatever sweet coconutty synthetic base notes they’ve put in it. Was prepared to buy a full bottle of the earlier version. Now it’s like it’s trying to resemble the warm coconutty synthetic florals out there that have already been made. Before the florals were so inviting, sensual and tropical - without going waxy, dated, too warm or cloying. SMOOTH and sort of cool in temperature without going green and mentholy. (Had and ended up selling Carnal Flower due to that facet, dislike mentholy tuberoses) Clean without being translucent and turning powdery/handsoapy upon dry down. (Which is how I experience Narcotic v, Nishane Tuberoza, French Flower and many more of those dainty types of tuberoses) It was so sensual and womanly, it had body. It performed without any screechy mind numbing synthetics (See: Giardini Di Toscana Bora Bora, Tuberose astrale). I was just about to end my quest of finding the perfect tuberose/tropical floral. It’s like they’ve thrown that tropical bouquet in a puddle of mud. Vanilla slop. I’M SO ANNOYED, WHYYY

Ladies, do not sleep on this one! Bought blind & gave this as a Christmas present last year due to its crazy concentration (*43% oils!*) & it did not disappoint! Hat tip to Steve @ Luckyscent, whose video review gave me the reassurance to pull the trigger. While I can't give a full, proper review, it's a lovely white floral that *really* performs. While tuberose can occasionally turn me off, this blend was very pleasant, rich & full. I'd love this on my date. I'd go as far as to say this is a safe blind buy for you too if you're after something like this... I can't even imagine how long it would take to finish a bottle! This is one of those bottles that is practically a lifetime supply & you've basically hit the jackpot for maximum bang for your buck by adding it to your collection if you even like it. I wish the industry offered a lot more of these refined yet ultra-concentrated scents... They truly stand out above their competition in scent & performance; it's not even close. If you have *any* interest in a high quality white floral - Sample this!

Another gem from the house. It's in my top 5 from Profumum Roma. To start with, this house has converted me to tuberose. I thought white florals are not my thing and will never want a full bottle of tuberose-dominant fragrance. But I love all three of the Profumum Roma tuberose fragrances - Tagete, Tuberosa and Sabbia Bianca. they all have this fresh juicy green tuberose with fruity facets which is not indolic, not cloying, but at the same time very proud and present. Tagete is the greenest one with some fresh coolness about it, but unfortunately it doesn't last very long on my skin. Sabbia Blanca is the sweetest, juiciest, the most unapologetically floral and exotic. Tuberose is well blended with ylang-ylang, which doesn't overpower it but adds a bit of an exotic tropical sweetness - I really get exotic fruits like banana and melon from a purely floral perfume... It's magical.

There’s a heavy presence of tiare flower in the opening and an authentic tuberose with spicy green facets- it smells ‘wet.’ I get wafts of honey, which is vaguely animalic and almost like nectar. It gives my skin the overall sensation of a waxy white flower petal. Ylang is a supporting note and gives a little sweetness to the florals at first, but I do not smell anything but tuberose and tiare in the drydown. It has a ‘cool’ feel to it that would work very nicely in warm weather. A very high quality scent with phenomenal performance!

My wonderful dh surprised me with this. What a sweetie he is. This is divine. A big bouquet of heady white flowers. Slightly sweet, but nothing crazy, just enough to round it out. Heat really brings out the floral headiness in this perfume. It smelled so beautiful on a warm night. My husband loves the way it smells on me too. It really is just prefect. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful perfume. I am absolutely crazy about it (and the giver too :-).

Every time I wear this I look ten pounds thinner. It evens out my tan. My teeth are whiter. Smile, bigger. No need for Botox. Youth in a bottle. A spritz of happiness. Flowers send me hate mail. It smells of bee stung wilted petals refusing to decay. It smells like courage that comes with summer. Goes well with denim and diamonds. Invoke the muse with this one.

I normally don't like tuberose blends because I have not found my perfect blend....until now. It is delicious. It makes me feel spectacular.....it lifts me out of any funky mood and transports me to a place where there is sun and hope. It is truly glamorous. Definitely a hot date on a summer night.

This is how my nose registers the tuberose flowers in my garden. In other fragrances the bubbelgum aspect gets somewhat diluted but not here. Fresh, strong, sweet bubblegummy tuberose without the indolic touch so many white flower perfumes have. Love it.

This is French Flower on steroids, stronger and more bubble gummy to my nose. Sprayed it once and it stayed on skin all day, great longevity, super sweet and beautiful white floral. It's a love or hate kind of scent, a bit on the pricey side.

Lots and lots of ylang ylang. Lots of tuberose. Lots of Tiare flower. A bit powdery but mostly big sweet yellow floral. If you like Ylang in Gold you should enjoy this. It’s bigger, and much more substantial but very similar vibe.

What a beauty she is. Smells a bit like bubbletea in the beginning. This really juicy, fresh, yet sweet scent. I smell a bit pine in the background and it is so beautiful. The price was surprising to me, though.

Sabbia Bianca is good, but nothing to write home about. It smells similar to Bond9- Saks for her, which I own as well. Sillage and longevity are great, lasts all day.

Gorgeous but I definitely prefer the original formulation!

This has ben reformulated (it's not a guess, it is actually mentioned on their website), so the new version has a dose of coconut, jasmine and vanilla added to all of the previous ingredients as listed above in the notes. And I have to say it does makes the scent more complex and unique, because before Sabbia Bianca was one of the more boring ones in the complete lineup, well at least to me. It just smelled like a boring ylang-ylang bomb that has nothing else to offer. Now however, the opening makes the whole experience much more appealing and multidimensional, and I'm finally starting to notice this gem. It is always a risk when you make a change, especially to a perfume, you risk losing customers, but sometimes, like here, the gamble pays off and you may reach the new public that was previously uninterested.

I purchased a sizable decant/sample of Sabbia Bianca because I've been on a quest to find my perfect tuberose-centric fragrance. As an aside, I adore and wear a lot of Amouage "Love Tuberose." But at the Amouage price-point, I cannot keep blowing through 100ml bottles. So, I've been searching for alternatives to Love Tuberose. Sabbia Bianca is very nice and just as others have described it to be. Opens with a lovely, green tuberose accord. I imagine there is some tiara flower in the mix, although I'm not sure what tiara flower smells like. I do detect a bit of ylang-ylang, some coconut, I suppose. Wears as a linear, non-complex, light, ethereal tuberose fragrance. Nice enough but nothing outstanding or unique. I do not think I could justify the perfume's price point taking all aspects into account.

The gardenia on my windowsill is currently flowering and this smells very similar. I’m intrigued by its strong scent from such a small white flower, so I keep picking it up to smell its delicate white bloom. But I’m equally put-off by an innate sourness - as much as gardenias give off a heady white floral, there’s a bitter green sourness that accompanies it. ‘Sabbia Bianca’ has a similar affect on me. It initially blew me away as the most amazing tuberose/gardenia scent, but quite quickly it becomes overwhelmingly sweet, with strong tropical tiare, that resembles an exotic vanilla/mango ice cream. To me, this is a creamy Solero ice lolly that’s sprinkled with heady Tahitian gardenias and wrapped in a freshly strung tiare lei from Hawaii.

- Not exactly what I expected but smells like a wonderful bouquet of tropical florals nonetheless. Reminds me of Fracas! Sabbia Bianca smells straight forward and serious rather than a tropical vacation to me. She opens with tuberose and ylang ylang that is just sweet enough to keep things prim and proper rather than treading too far into bubblicious bubblegum territory. Jasmine supports the fragrance giving it a clean skin like quality. Some white florals florals go on like a suffocating bomb. Not Sabbia Bianca. This one is endlessly wearable. Smells like I could wear her day or night and in any season. It's close to the skin and smells like I'm not even wearing perfume. This is just a mood!

A very sweet, bubble gum-y tuberose/gardenia, linear, bordering on artificial smelling like many of Profumum Roma's perfumes (not necessarily a bad thing) - tooth achingly sweet and tropical. No powder, more creamy and screechy. There are very many like this perfume, and the slight differences between this and lower priced scents are not enough to justify the high price of Profumum Roma. I am overall a fan of white florals AND Profumum Roma, but I will stick with their gourmands like Sorriso and Dulcis in fundo! For a cheap sweet gardenia I recommend Yves Rocher Monoi or Comptoir Sud Pacifique Aloha Tiare.

Starts like "Blond"by Versace for few seconds, then the gardenia, ylang mix takes over with bits of jasmines. White floral at max (no magnolia, and no lily of the valley Thank GOD). The tiare is giving the milky tuberose that doesn't have the strength to hold it up for more than 1 minute as the tuberose, gardenia mix take the harsh white floral side so big and. The one i am reviewing is the "Summer Edition" version so i'm not sure if there is another "Sabbia Bianca" version! It's a white floral after all and has "Blond" by versace vibes. Cute.

A bright, happy tuberose warmed with ylang ylang. Round and natural like all Profumum scents. Lasts forever but it seems like the sillage calms down after a few hours or so. I was really excited about this one because it’s supposed to have a very high concentration of perfume oils. It’s really lovely but not spectacular. I’d recommend it as a more simple, natural Fracas. But Profumum also has Tuberosa which is more fresh and cool like a bouquet right next to you and I think I prefer it to Sabbia Bianca (it’s also about $70 cheaper).

Why I bought this one if I already have like 4 (I think) other tropical white floral fragrances... I need to stop. Anyway. It's a bold very potent ylang-ylang and tuberose fragrance. Nothing special when it comes to composition but unlike many other similar scents this one will stay on your skin for a while. And it will survives a scorching hot, humid day too. It might seem expensive but considering how strong it is it's actually not that bad. 1 spray is enough, your bottle will last for a while...

It opens like a white floral daydream - tuberose and gardenia in full bloom, polished with a soapy cleanliness. It’s not the heavy tuberose of vintage perfumes but a fresher, gentler take. There’s something nostalgic in it - it conjures childhood summers in the countryside, the air warm and golden sunset. It has that ability to feel both intimate and expansive. For me it’s for spring and summer. It carries this clean sophistication of soap yet avoids sterility, keeping a soft warmth

First impressions : mild, slightly sweet... Can’t think of any associations. After a few minutes it gets this warm quality, like hot sand on a sunny day... Overtones of berries or sweet grass... Very “quiet” perfume , almost hard to smell unless you really inhale very close to your skin. PS. Ok the description says : tuberose, violet, ylang ylang, tiare. I don’t smell any of those whatsoever! Lol I don’t dislike it but this perfume is hard to remember or recognize.

A nicely blended natural white floral perfume, this rather lovely offering from the ever reliable Profumum Roma, this is a blend of four white floral extracts: Tuberose, ylang-ylang, tiare and violet. Very natural, very pretty, very feminine. Moderate sillage and projection and very good longevity. Worth the asking price? Depends on how much you like it. Enjoy!

Really gorgeous, heavy-handed white floral fragrance but I have to reiterate what others are saying: this smells so Montale/Mancera/Theodore Kalotines coded. I was so surprised to smell that DNA here, and even though I'm a fan of this, I can't shake the feeling that it just feels like it belongs to another brand.

This is a seriously beautiful tuberose fragrance! It's creamy and rich without being overpowering, with a hint of something sweet and animalic that keeps it interesting. Definitely a scent for special occasions.

Suuuuper strong tuberose and tiare. I do get something cinnamon-like in this that just boots the tuberose to another level. It smells like hot skin at a fancy resort on a tropical island.

This fragrance is beautiful and performant but I only feel the notes of jasmine and nightshade. They are similar to Guerlain terracotta, but terracotta is more complex and unique.

Sabbia Bianca is an interesting name for this fragrance as it does not evoke memories of beach vacations spending hours in the sea and sand. There is nothing tropical about this. This is an unforgiving and bold tuberose; one that demands the attention of passerby's on the busy streets of Paris or New York. One spray of this concentrated carnal flower will have you kicked out of a restaurant as nearby guests try to gasp for air. It is heady and potent with enormous sillage and longevity. That is not to say this isn't good. It is good - very good, and almost certainly a nod to Fracas by Robert Piquet released in 1948. The opening is heavy on ylang ylang and fruity tuberose that slowly transitions to a creamy and buttery tuberose. Gardenia comes into play in the mid-notes with a trail of cinnamon and powdery violet. In the base notes the buttery tuberose remains with hints of tiare flower and gardenia occasionally making their presence known. This fragrance is exceptional but proceed with caution. This is not a safe blind-buy. Use the rollerball application for less projection so maybe you won't get kicked out of Le Bernardin after the second course and thrown out into the cold streets of New York. But if you do, passerby's will certainly walk happily in your trail.

This is a bubblegum tuberose with something very sharp, almost hot and burning underneath. It actually bothered my throat. I had to look at the notes because I thought it was vetiver that was causing that or some sort of spice, but there is nothing like that listed in the notes. I don't know what could account for that, but it takes something away from this scent for me. The note profile led me to believe that this would be a creamy, tropical floral, and while it is a tropical floral, it is not a smooth one. For a smooth tropical floral, I think Guerlain does this style much better with Terracotta. I will put this travel sprayer aside and try it in different weather. It just might need warmer temps to smooth this fragrance out.

Very sweet, juicy, bright floral. Slightly sour and a touch powdery. But mainly sweet. It is very very strong and longlasting, beautifully feminine. Not a freshie and more of a grown woman scent. Although my boyfriend commented that it smells like an air freshener (but at least at home I'm using pretty nice fresheners). Would be great but it does not suit my personality /taste. I'm sure it woud get plenty of compliments!

161 This was okay too, just more mentholated than Tuberosa. It’s a more yellow floral fruity scent. Tart, tiny creaminess, plasticky, but overall very similar to Tuberosa. 7/10- not my kind of tuberose.

This smells of tuberose, Tahitian gardenia (tiare flower), and cinnamon. Is there cinnamon? I have no idea, but to me this smells very much like cinnamon.

The new version is a coconut and vanilla...thing as many others. Tuberose is so toned down that it's no more a tuberose centered perfume, neither jasmine... also , considerably more sweet. I'm disappointed. Coconut makes what once was a beautiful symphony of flowers a vulgar candy.

Nice rich tropical florals but there is an overly sweet aspect that is a suffocating and slightly nauseating. If you want to wear this in the heat less is more. The sweetness mellows with time but to my nose it still feels unbalanced making the price point steep for this.

It opens with a tropical sweetness and continues with an even more cloying sweetness... this is a tiare-centered fragrance, but it lacks the deep indolic character of ylang-ylang and the carnal, enchanting nature of tuberose. This perfume truly disappointed me.

Smells like tuberose with gardenia, soap and a bit of plastic. Lakcs depth. I don't dislike it. But I prefer Carnal Flower and Narcotic V. It's a pass for me.

Profumum Roma Sabbia Bianca is a 2018 re-release of a prior 2011 release. A sweet white floral, it comes off as a warm weather daytime women's option, a mix of ylang ylang, tuberose, violet, and tiare. It's nice, albeit a bit too feminine-leaning for my taste, but the care and quality are palpable in Sabbia Bianca as in other Profumuma Roman creations. Fortunately, it's not too sharp; rather, it comes off as pretty smooth, particularly in the dry down, an effortless wear, and a nice option that feels sufficiently versatile, but for women, at least, to me. Performance is strong, as is the expectation of Profumum Roma offerings, and with a higher price point of $310 for 100ml (contra the usual $250 or $265) 7 out of 10

This is the most luxurious tuberose bubblegum and marshmallow I could imagine. I suspect I got a reformulated version, because I tested this fragrance last year and it was more classic and natural tuberose scent. Now there's something synthetic here, perhaps it's the highly concentrated coconut. It's a very potent scent, bordering on overdose. Individually, it can be perceived as hairspray or mothballs; there's some kind of overwhelmingly sweet, dry toxicity. Is this the direction the brand will develop in from now on? Very close to Fracas, Fracas on steroids - more straightforward and less complex, although more concentrated. Fracas is calmer, more sophisticated, and much more elegant.

writing this with the new version on one wrist and the old version on the other.. the new version smells slightly cleaner while smelling the old version i am getting a slightly dirty almost “cat box” smell. the new version also smells slightly sweeter and perfumey. smelling up close and side by side i honestly prefer the new version. i was upset to hear the reformulated as the og was so beautiful and diffusive but past the opening, i think the new version wins! something to note as well, is the new juice is a deep pink color (will stain clothes) while the old juice is a deep yellow.

The new formula sadly smells very different and it's no longer the creamy bubblegum of my dreams. It also opens up with a blast of alcohol. It honestly reminds me of mancera coco vanille now which is such a shame. Never made it to buy the old version.. which I had longed to do after saving enough. Never posted here before but had to do it now because of the great disappointment. Edit: performance is also nothing like the original

It was a blind buy based on the reviews and I regraded instantly after first spray... to me it smells dated, very tuberose... its just too much, even a dry down its too much tuberose, very linear... I am glad I bought 18 ml version... all my family hates it, every one of them...they said that it smells like a grandma... lol... its my first encounter with Profvmvm Roma and its a fail...

Oddly, for me at least, this is a cold white floral. It pierced through the hot air of a midwestern summer night and left a chill in its wake. Not quite metallic or screechy, but close. With the notes listed, I was expecting something a little more sumptuous. A little more tropical, even. But alas, this fragrance and I were not meant to be.

While I’m getting FOMO when reading about the old version, I have to declare that as a heavy white floral lover (Tuberose and Moss by Rouge, Gardenia by Isabey etc.. og Gio by Armani) I loved this one and I want a full bottle and as it’s 180 in Rome and 300 in Greece I might as well take a trip :))

If you liked M. Micallef ylang in gold, then you will love this, especially if you thought ylang in gold wore too close to the skin as this is alot louder. The ylang is front and center here but i smell tuberose and faint violet. Overall gorgeous floral!

Ho fatto l'errore spruzzare questo profumo sulla mia pelle. Mal di testa per ore,e non accenna a fermarsi;anche un denso di nausea. Giuro che non sto esagerando.. non so se sia la tuberosa, l' ylang ylang o la viola ma questo profumo è demoniaco!mai più.

If you’re familiar with the old-school Cunga Lunga chewing gum in the yellow packaging, this smells exactly like that. Not opposed to this, but just can’t get over the fact that I smell like childhood chewing gum.

the reformulated version is alarmingly close to Mancera's Holidays/Coco Vanille (a DNA I hate). if you like that scent profile you may love this. if you're looking for a strong tuberose, this isn't it.

Pez candy necklace and heliotrope drenched in bready, slightly indolic tuberose. Powdery as hell. Faint bitter citrus peel but that goes away within 5 minutes, giving way to the sweet barrage.
