Jacinth Jonquil

I've been searching for a fragrance like this all my life. Honestly. It's that good. And to think that this has been achieved with 100% natural materials is exhilarating. I purchased a full decant of Jacinth Jonquil on notes and house ethos alone. Initially trepidation set in but as soon as I opened the package I could tell I had made an excellent decision. I've been searching all my life for my signature - that perfume that becomes so intrinsically entwined with my soul. The part of me that wishes it were always Spring. This is it. The blending is nothing short of astounding - and this sort of sillage and projection in a natural knocked me for six. People are stepping aside for me, turning inquisitively in the street. Complete strangers are asking me why I smell so good. Immediately, on the wrist or the nook of the elbow, bergamot and hyacinth snaps, lush and full-bodied, then the slightly tipsy narcissus, It's like you've been tossed onto a bed of dewy daffodils. There is a warmth too - a hum of saffron and something that makes one think of a vintage patchouli. I get a sort of modern, redefined Shalimar vibe and I'm not sure why. Yet the florals keep it accessible, sexy and innocent in one breath. The quality of the jasmine grandiflorum and ylang ylang used here is exquisite, it sort of becomes my second skin. Interestingly, I'm not reading juniper as listed - in that this doesn't feel crisp and gin-like. It's rich, heady and bountiful. This speaks to how well it is blended, if there is indeed juniper at the feast. And what a delicious, expensive drydown! Creamy sandalwood and feathery orris. There is witchcraft at work, consider me bewitched. The feel of a new suede coat. This perfume would be as at home on a Pagan wild child as it would on Sofia Loren drinking champagne on a yacht. It clings beautifully to silks, satins, velvets... any clothing. On bare skin, it's a nine-to-five for longevity, perhaps even nine-to-nine. Applied over lotion, on me, it lasts all day. The last few warm thrums of it lull me to sleep at night. It's vintage yet modern, warm and plush yet cool. A divine dance. I feel more confident, beautiful and poised in this everyday and I cannot thank Kershen enough for creating this. A legitimate masterpiece. Should be as famous as No. 5. I prefer it even to Hiram Green's creations in that it reads like a perfume that's always existed yet constantly surprises.

Entrancing. Sample came gratis with one of Dusita’s Cavatina from Indigo Perfumery. Had never heard of this house before but now can’t wait to explore more. A lush natural floral but far less virginal than Dusita’s exquisite muguet. It’s not exactly seduction season but this makes me wish it were. This is a fragrance you wear to linger eternal in the memory of someone who only met you once. Its sillage pulses. Makes me want to wear saffron silk velvet, let my hair down in copper waves, & luxuriate. Gilda for the 21st Century. Remember this next Beltane. UPDATE: Consider me seduced, a full bottle just arrived. Even more rapturous big. Wish there were more I could do to call attention to this glory than just write this review. Everyone I’ve spritzed it on has contacted me later to get its name. Random people at parties track down who smells so good & it’s me. I’m not even a huge floral person but this is irresistible.

A very vintage floral, 70s/80s, and nothing wrong with that 😁 sharp almost spiced hyacinth, animalic jasmine, we get even two yellow florals! and a soft sandalwood dry down. I'm not sure what concentration this is, smells like an extract. Has almost a pollen/honey quality from the florals. My gosh, this is what I love. It smells like main few notes from Lancome's Poeme been extracted and amped up by 1000%
