100% Magic

when i got my bottle of this it was peak season at the haunted house where i was working seasonally. i would spritz a little bit before every shift so the scent-memory is really strong here. anyone who has spent a lot of time around fog machines is likely familiar with the distinctively 'thick' and fuzzy-sweet scent of them, something that 100% magic captures perfectly (likely unintentionally.) hot, sparky, a solid performer with decent projection in cold or warm weather, there is just something about this one that i can't get enough of. comparisons to warm bulb are aren't uncalled for, but it's a different animal, sharper from the sichuan peppercorn but still velvety. it smells like electric kettlecorn and fairground fog and halloween candy spit. playful, definitely youthful, but there's just enough nuance from the sandalwood and citrus to keep it from being cloyingly sweet or immature. very well priced for the quality, i recommend if you want an unusual gourmand-ish fragrance.

Dali may call the delicious brown sugar note in 100% magic "spun sugar," but I would call it sugar that makes you spin. Exuberant joy, sparking long-rested synapses of youthful abandon, coy like a trick birthday candle that can't be extinguished and that's the joke and that's the legerdemain: the magic in 100% Magic can't be undone. It may flicker but that's just showmanship--the flame, and it's crackled smoke aroma, will come back higher than before. Sorcery from first spray! Fire-charred bourbony vanille brown sugar, elegant if gothic sweetness, grows up in timelapse until it's eventual marriage with an earthy and mysterious patchouli. A combo that defies coherence until you smell Dali's deft blend where the two frolic harmoniously on skin. You might think the smokey note originates from oft-incensed patchouli, but it's humming off the sugar. It's a master illusion, trompe le nez, it's secrets will tickle your mind for days.

beautiful sweet perfect angel of a fragrance, i literally wear this every single day. smells actually sparkly, like the extra-bright ending of a lit sparkler or like the way that champagne bubbles look. it is HOT and bright and sweet, with tart, oily bergamot zest on the opening. the main body is heavy, hazy, and warm, with a very sexy mysterious musk and a sophisticated, unisex vanilla that layer beautifully over the fairly subtle sandalwood. the patchouli is barely there, but gives even more depth and a tiny bit of earthy funky strangeness. i've gone through a 15ml bottle of this fragrance and am still so in love with it that i'm planning to go up to a full 30ml as soon as i can get my hands on one. beautifully blended and the theming is spot on. i just absolutely love this house and its whole vibe so so so much

the notes are not what i usually go for, but i was so enchanted by the concept and the branding of this house and this fragrance i waited months for restock. my first blind buy of a full size, and im so happy with my choice. the warmth and “spark” of it captures short lived moments of nostalgia and celebration in a bottle. blowing out the candles and getting a hug. the opening is hot and peppery, but quickly fades to a warm, soft and spicy skin scent. i can’t really smell it on myself when i’m wearing it, but i get complimented on it constantly and from a long distance. would absolutely recommend this fragrance and i can’t wait to see what else puppet comes up with!!

puppet parfum as a brand is lovely and lives up to the name with the scent descriptions, the packaging, and even the website's music choice (kermit the frog playing rainbow connection) instead of the sample kit that they offer I went right for a full bottle of 100% magic because the scent profile sounded beautiful. the blend of pepper, spun sugar, sandalwood and patchouli is truly unique and from the first spray there is this almost mechanical spark that smells somewhere between turning a lighter on and the last puff of a dead pen. the base is woodsy and sophisticated I can see visions of a hippie puppeteer building a set in the 70s - also, cute date night scent.

This is a really gorgeous perfume. As soon as I saw that it had notes of Sichuan peppercorn I immediately had to try it. I was totally blown away by the warm note. It's slightly sweet and milky, almost reminiscent of the pudding in creme brulee or a gourmet sweet fairground popcorn ball, but the overall effect is less of a spun sugar and more like a hot oven. The patchouli and sandalwood form a woodsy, grassy bed for the heat. The overall effect is like a hot foam block left in the sunny grass outside at a daycare. It's rich and nostalgic and wonderful.

I love this perfume sooo much! It is my daily wearer as it is so versatile. As one reviewer mentioned, the first note I get is a “hot” smell that reminds me of sparklers. It’s also woody and floral at the same time. I love that it lasts all day at work; my partner can still smell it on me when I get home. An absolutely amazing perfume! I can’t wait to see what Puppet does next. A truly creative and special perfumer!

one of the most special unique perfumes of all time. i love the perfumer's vision on this (the magic of growing old) - and in general. it did briefly give computer tower overheating in the opening lol but no the spun sugar and sichuan pepper...absolute genius and very successful in it's aim to recreate the experience lighting a birthday candle. Bravo!

I ordered the party pack samplers and they came today. I could not be more impressed with the presentation. Absolutely adorable down to the handwritten note. Ingenue is beautiful.... But 100% magic...... I love it. Within 30 seconds of spraying it on a tester strip, I had hosed down my entire body.

I LOVEEEEEEE THIS PERFUME!!! i love how wonderful and whimsical i feel in it and how warm and nostalgic it is. this perfume is truly like blowing out birthday candles on a cake; it captures this moment, this glow, this joy of being surrounded by your loved ones.

I love the Puppet perfume house so much. This is a slight smokey, sweet scent with hints of citrus and incense. I definitly need a much bigger bottle of this.

i like to layer this with warm bulb to complete my vision of an unsettled and surreal gourmand, like eating a lofthouse cookie in the backrooms
