Quiksilver for Men

Quiksilver for men blows my mind away as other fellows had pointed out. Special thanks to Boots for reducing its price. I would regret if I did not decide to buy this and might consider going to buy another bottle as a spare. Please allow me, as being new to aquatic fragrance, to describe this fine fragrance for you. IMHO, Quiksilver is a truly amazing and incredibly refreshing scent lying in the same category as Bvlgari aqva and Acqua di Gio but radiates in different manners. It eliminates my doubt about its expanded target on perfumery rather than only a fashion design they are very good at. The opening notes are well formulated coming as a burst of grapefruit and orange. Its dry-down note is one of the most impressive part among other big names in the market. Sandalwood is there and mind you that Quiksilver uses its self-planted Australian sandalwood with the "Australian Certified Organic" label on its box. I have to admit that I always fall for fragrances containing sandalwood ☻ The bottle is really cool with a distinct design on the rubber cap. Sillage is really great packed with very long longevity. All in all. 10/10 for me. Please keep up decent and affordable fragrance Quiksilver. I'll keep my eyes on your product ☻ Update(03.03.10): Mimimun of 5-6 hours on my skin despite the very watery sensation you feel and smell at the time you spray it on. IMHO, Quiksilver is really worth a try ☻

One of the usual fresh aquatic scents but this one comes with a salty oceanic twist. First of all, the bottle is nice with a sporty rubber cap. the scent starts with a fresh salty citrusy oceanic scent; very typica but very nice. It reminds me of Bvlgari Aqva and Aqva Marine for its salt and grapefruit combo, but I find Quiksilver to be milder, woodier and work better for my taste. The base is nice too. It becomes dry musky wood and it stays just sweet enough to make me feel fresh and pleasant. Eucalyptus doesn't project like Vicks VapoRub, but it's there at the right amount to invigorate the whole experience. Overall, I paid $10 for 1.7oz and I can't complain. It's not a bad scent at all and it lasts a long time on me. Just make sure you find a great deal.

Living in the south of France, loving the beach and being attached to the 6 months of warm weather, I like to collect all perfumes with iodine notes (salt, sea water) and this perfume is by far my favourite. A golden nugget that is unfortunately discontinued and easily worth 4 or 5 times its price. It is better in its apparent simplicity (simple can be complex) than all the ADGs for example. It's by definition the dirty fresh scent : this bitter orange crushed on a driftwood heated by the blazing sun give it a kind a aventurous "violence". A really unique scent !

I give this one a thumbs-up. Pleasant, not heavy...Good for summer and outdoors. The top notes include a nice citrusy opening (grapefruit and bitter orange) with a touch of sea accords. The eucalyptus adds a nice "minty" background. The drydown is enjoyable with Australian sandalwood. I have to spray more than usual to get the effect and sillage that I desire. At times, it reminds me of Halston I-12, but not as potent. Still smells pleasant after 8-10 hours. Overall, this was a nice surprise. I tried it, liked it and bought it at TJ Maxx at a great price.

It smells so nice and fresh OMG it's like a mix of marine sea breath from light blue intense and spice woody from bontblanc explorer. amazing one. It released 2008 you may think Oh it's old fashion or outdated but this dna it's timeless. the marine aquatic like a sea with fresh kick and woody touch, this dna will last to the end of the world. very underrated and rare. If you find it grab it. overall 8.7/10

For those that read Spanish, Sauko's review is dead on. This is a bitter citrus top fragrance that starts off exceedingly synthetic and biting with the high pitched grapefruit and bitter orange struggling to find accord in the blending. As suako astutely describes, after enduring the first 30 minutes of citrus, the beautiful Australian sandalwood note starts to take center stage and dominates the fragrance from that point on, aided discretely by the eucalyptus, salt and sea water to create a rather synthetic but nonetheless enjoyable wear. Though rather linear after a few wears, Quiksilver is a great cheapie to own for a summer aquatic rotation, as it blends citrus aromatic, woody aquatic and aquatic aromatic into one definitively affordable fragrance. This is perfect for active youth and men under forty looking for an astringent, biting wake up before a summer workout or on a lazy Sunday afternoon under the sun. Versatile enough to be worn well into fall and as early as April, not just in the summer. Sandalwood lovers will appreciate this one, as well as those who like citrus tinged with woods and salty water. A better, more personable, cheaper alternative to Nautica's Oceans. A fun, easy-going wear for those not trying to be sophisticated, glamorous or flashy who simply enjoy the soft, smoothness of sandalwood and the sea blended adeptly by Maisondieu. Longevity is solid at 5-7 hours and sillage generally a bit light but in accordance with the balancing of the pungent citrus top; toning down the projection may have been a wise decision and makes Quiksilver inoffensive and versatile despite its rather synthetic vibe.

When I first purchased this it was what I thought was an excellent deal: 125 ml. for 9.99-WOW! I was in the discount store so of course I had like 10 other things in my basket and failed to notice until I got it home that it was aftershave balm! Upon opening it and sniffing it I was pleasantly surprised... I am often wary of frags with eucalyptus in them. It can overpower more subtle notes and make you smell like you just came out of a steam room. This is not the case with Quiksilver for men. The aquatic notes (calone) temper the grapefruit and bitter orange (bigarade in French)and keep this from being neither too aquatic nor too citric. The eucalyptus is more in its pure form than the mentolated version in muscle rubs and cough drops. The addition of salt from the sea may have something to do with this. The sandalwood (organic and Australian being a bonus) and clean musk make this feel very well-blended and smooth. It may be linear but remember it was made for surfers and beachy types who stay pretty close to the surface of the sea and love its scent so much they want to smell like it even when they are not at it. Quiksilver accomplishes this very well. Fresh, intense, clear, powerful and calm at the same time different from all the other aquatics out there...needless to say I went back and got the 100 ml 3 pc Gift Set! Sillage: pretty decent Longevity: good 3-5 hrs. Overall: 3.25/5 It is a simple thing and it was made for younger active guys. Sometimes you want simple and this frag makes me feel young when I wear it and approaching 42, that's a beautiful thing! Hang loose...

I really like this cologne. Its so simple and can be easily worn for everyday use. It's an ideal cologne if your into a nice, youthful, fresh scent. I really enjoy the sea water and salt notes combined with the citruses. While I wear it, the light musk in it reminds me of that certain smell that you get in a brand new shirt. Longtivity is good as well. In the drydown i can smell the cedarwood and amber combined with the leftover citruses. I really am proud for this to be Quiksilver's first cologne. It totally fits the clothing line and the guys who wear Quiksilver, like me! I hope its never discontinued because its something I'd purchase again.

I distinctly remember wearing this EDT back in 2008/9 and really rather liked it. It is a very fresh, salty, citrus smelling fragrance with a strong Australian Sandalwood thread, with fairly good sillage. It's a brilliant summery daytime scent that evokes fun, freshness, casualness, and coolness. It's very bright and I can completely understand why Quicksilver, a very popular surfy sport brand, would plump for this kind of thing. Only issues are that it's completely synthetic, which you'd expect to be honest and it needed topping up numerous times in the day as it is light on the longevity. It is now a pleasant memory.

Awesome. For a cheap perfume it is great. I paid 30 $ for a gift set. Longevity and projection are good for a summer frag. It reminds me of Puma Create, but way better. For me it smells expensive and special.

I bought a 100ml tester for 8$. Very good for this price. After 1 hour it reminds me a mix of Bvlgari-Aqua and Puma-Flowing.

Good price, generic scent, marine, fresh, for young people, it really evocates the idea of sea. The only problem is the fact that longevity is very poor. For those who like marine scents, try also Bvlgari Aqva ( more expensive) or Nautica Voyage (good price).

Fragancia muy fresca, recomendada para días cálidos. Se siente en un comienzo cítricos, donde el eucalipto junto con la sal equilibran el dulzor de las naranjas y dan una sensación de brisa marina. Luego de media hora de aplicado, bajan los cítricos y aparece un sándalo suave gracias al almizcle que se percibe ligeramente. Es un perfume yo diría informal que proyecta la frescura de la juventud. An absolutely wonderful scent.Theres nothing I can add to all the positive reviews on here. Sadly discontinued it begs the question why?. Is there a bottle to be had anywhere on the planet ? I look all over (Europe, the Far East etc) for this and other long lost favourites inc Puig Sybaris, Rochas Globe, Balenciaga Ho Hang, Nina Ricci Phileas and of course Signoricci 1 & 2 but to no avail.

I smelled this at my local department store recently- it is the BEST smelling scent for a guy, in my opinion. It smells soo fresh and I would just love to smell it on a guy, as if he just got off of the beach. I'm not sure if it would be suitable for winter weather, and i'm not sure if the staying power is good. But it smells divine!

I tried this and decided that it is totally for a guy. There was a couple of notes in it that I did not like for myself or for my guy. It is a good thing they make different scents for everyones taste.

I am curious about this. I wonder if this would smell good on a woman? I think I will go and check it out, I love marine scents and it seems that the men's are always fresher.

strong fruity base.. very linear and simple. synthetic plastic pineapple, green medicinal and a generic "aquatic" end.. simply not.
