18 Amber Wood

They sent me a sample of lelabo when i ordered Profile 18 and i saw very little similarity. After checking again I've noticed a spray on each arm, after they dry, is very dificult to tell the diference. Amber wood seems a little more chemical at first, but the after smell is near identical to Santal 33. Lucky for anyone that finds this cologne, Santal is $250+ a bottle. This cologne is by far one of the best, most unique scents that i own. Perhaps more so than gucci guilty or issey summer scent, or moschino forever, my other 3 top picks. Again, this one smells nothing like the spicey ingredients listed, and so much sweeter, coconut, pina colada, vanilla, some sort of lathery tropical cream, and also much like a brand new pair of leather gloves, an expensive jacket, or the interior of a brand new luxury sedan, bmw, etc. Perhaps a lighter version of Diesel OTB Wild, a little too light, my only complaint - it doesn't last long enough. Also reminds me a little bit of zara aquatic mind, unique, wonderful, shocked that its rob lowe designed. Didn't he sex a girl who was under 18? Should have named this one 'profile under 18'. Regardless, way to go rob, you created something of value for once in your career.

I have gone through 4 bottles of Santal 33. Yes, this does smell like Santal 33 for the first 3-4 minutes...that's it. This is a fragrance of it's own. It's got a bit of sweetness, a tiny bit of dirty sexy - I am guessing that's the blue sage. I did not detect any lavender. The orris lays like a soft pillow, holding onto the top and middle notes, ever so softly. Where I think it shines is in the dry down. I enjoyed all the stages of this fragrance, it's very smooth and well blended. The dry down, the cedar and wood...that's what sold me. It's very unique. I am testing from a decant, so it's hard to decipher the longevity or projection. As of right now, I would say it's an intimate skin scent. One of those, come in a little closer baby. Once you snuggle in their neck...you never want to leave. I am going in stronger tomorrow with 10 decant sprays to get an idea of how strong it is. I will probably buy it for sure, it's a really nice scent.

This stuff is great and I was upset to see this not carried at Nordstroms as it once had that I ended up paying a large sum on ebay for it. It is unique and super versatile if the scent is something you enjoy. To add, I will confirm the title 'Amber' is a little misleading but at the same time, the bottle and product itself has a scent pyramid that discusses the notes which actually Is spot-on. IF you enjoy Sandalwood and Sage with a soft lingering bergamot, then you will really enjoy this. It is a staple; very versatile and the performance is amazing. Great Longevity, Projection, sillage and without making me gasp. Not Sweet but not overly woody or spicy - its just smooth. Its wearability and nature reminds me of Bleu Noir from Narciso.

Look, the dude below has flowers on his head in the profile picture and he thinks he smells rubber! There is an amber smell to this for sure as well as a Sandalwood, and sage. As a Santa Barbara native I know what these smell like. I really do find this cologne among the best in the world. It has staying power as well as it smells masculine and classy! Get it!

Simply amazing! Only for the man that can wear woodsy scents. Im in love. It smells like wet wood and fresh pine. So unique... Le labo Santal but more masculine and structured.
