Burning Leather

Oh my lord.. this is utterly delicious. My fiance bought this for himself and I wanted to steal it immediately. I won't and will have to settle for smelling it on him (not mad) and may sneak a few squirts myself. It's the most delicious candied leather I've ever smelled. Definitely unisex. Doesn't lean masculine like many leather dominant scents can. The maple here is doing major heavy lifting, almost gives it a syrupy cotton candy edge. I get the Iris.. I didn't know the notes going in and I was thinking of Violet, which is a similar scent to Iris. Subtle spice. Smells like fall and winter romance. Definitely something more suitable for cooler weather and night time but could be worn any time. Almost reminds me of the dark sweet violet leather blend of Bibliotheque but a total different scent with this being punchier on leather and amber and less floral. Soft, smooth, sweet and elegant. I have NOT stopped smelling my wrist, only just enough to write this review.

This is a stunner. Really reminds me of Sugar Leather, which I already have. The leather here is more suede-y and the maple is syrupy - the sum is greater than the parts. What a great scent, really unique. This has gone straight onto my To Buy list. Edit: tried this again in Selfridges two weeks after my initial review. Still a powerhouse. It’s going strong after 3 hours, which is unusual for me. Perhaps a bit syrupy sweet for this warm summer weather, but a great perfume nevertheless.

What soleil brulant should have been. Burned but not incinerated. This is glorious stuff. Buttery, warm, smoky and a very beautiful rounded leather. My wife got fed up watching me sniff my forearm all afternoon and we went back and got it. The nose is Quentin Bisch. He deserves to take a well deserved bow on this one. The last time I was this thrilled about a scent was Black Phantom, another gourmand that doesn’t veer into sickly sweet territory. Burning Leather. A must!

This is an absolute banger!!!!!!!!! Defo my fave from the line (2nd place is still after club) The soft creamy butteryness of the Iris up top melded with the maple syrup is outrageously gorgeous!! However this does bare a strong resemblence to Creed Delphinus in the mid - drydown phase

Blind voters are making this site unusable. This smells absolutely nothing like Beaver Maple, if anything it smells like a sweeter version of BTSO Purple Stain. Nothing groundbreaking but beautifully executed.
