Fame Parfum

I am quite embarrassed to admit that I love this scent. Not because it is from Paco Rabanne, I am not a perfume snob, but because of the absolute ugliness of that bottle. I don’t think I can get past the tackiness of that unsightly bottle to allow myself to get one in my collection. The fragrance is really nice. I love the way that creamy mango note is blended smoothly with frankincense, benzoin, sandalwood, jasmine, pink pepper and patchouli. It’s not a groundbreaking scent but smells great if you’re looking for a relatively affordable mango scent for spring and summer nights. Can work even during fall thanks to the addition of warm frankincense and benzoin notes. The composition is wonderfully balanced, it’s sweet, but not sickly sweet, woody, warm and soft, floral with mild spicy touches. It’s a little different than most of the other designers have released recently for sure! I’ll give them props for that! But that hideous bottle... I just can’t!! Who approved that bottle?!? Without being disrespectful to blind people, was it someone who was blind??? I can’t believe that someone who sees that thing would consider it fitting for a perfume. It’s really ugly and tasteless. I rest my case.. Edit 10.05.24 I have tested Fame parfum side by side with Flowerbomb Tiger Lily, another recent mango focused perfume and I do love Fame Parfum better. I will get a bottle eventually...

I agree when people say “this is what I wanted the original fame to be”! The original one was juicy and delicious but way too light for me considering that I live in a country with the Baltic see and that’s quite cold / rainy and nasty most of the months here. Perhaps if I lived in the Latin America or at least southern Europe I could enjoy the original one better, but buying it for the short summer out here is not worth it. When I got a sample I was really impressed. They say if you close your eyes sniffing a perfume and you really enjoy it with your full breath then it’s your type of scent. I get this delicious dominant mango accord that is bathing in sensual woods and creamy incense which I absolutely love in fall/winter time type of fragrances. I am not fond of patchouli and musks but they are not overpowering here, I guess they were used to extend the longevity. The bergamot gives this scent some freshness when you spray it and I think it was a nice choice to add it here. I would definitely enjoy wearing this scent, and I can recommend it, because it’s lovely and nicely composed.

After almost a year since I got my nose on Fame Parfum and fell instantly in love with how addictive this mango perfume smells, I finally caved today and bought a 50 ml bottle! I won’t have this hideous bottle on display anywhere, let’s be clear, I still can’t believe someone from Rabanne team thought it is a good idea to use this tackiness as a perfume bottle, but after trying the perfume in store again, I couldn’t leave without it... To me, it’s a sweet, warm, soft spicy, woody, incensy, gourmand, tropical fruity perfume with a gorgeous jasmine/floral heart. It’s probably nothing earth shattering unique, but I am in a phase where I am loving mango perfumes again. I was obsessed last two years with mango perfumes and turns out I am still very much enjoying them! I got my bottle on a great deal and even though I can’t stand how ugly, lightweight and cheap it looks and feels in hand, I love how beautiful the scent is! From this perspective, I wished I had liked better Flowerbomb Tiger Lilly, because that Viktor&Rolf bottle concept is iconic, but as perfume, Fame Parfum has my heart...

I’m so glad I finally picked up a travel spray of this fragrance. I love the original Fame, I took it with me on vacation last summer and I have beautiful scent memories associated with it. The original is fresh and juicy with a strong sillage and impressive longevity. This is quite literally a deeper version of the original. The patchouli and frankincense are blended beautifully with the juicy mango & jasmine. It’s definitely giving summertime femme fatale vibes. If you thought the original was too similar to a Bath and Body Works mist, you’ll love this flanker because there’s no mistaking this for a body spray. This is for grown women 24+. All that being said, my husband is used to my perfumes constantly changing and he rarely comments on them but he complimented this one immediately when he got home from work after I had been wearing it for several hours. I couldn’t recommend it more and I know I’m going to end up with a bottle even though I have a 90ml of alien goddess and Idole aura on my dresser in preparation for summer. 10/10.

I really enjoy this perfume so far. It’s a mix of tropical and woody, just like it says. For some reason, it reminds me and my mom of Cool Water for women, like circa 95. But more of an updated, much less aquatic version. We loved Cool Water back in the day, so this is definitely a top pick. The tropical aspects make it seem like a great spring/summer scent, but the woody aspect makes it something you could absolutely wear on a date night or during the winter. I’m really happy about this one Edit: I forgot to mention my thoughts on the bottle and longevity! In the pictures, I wasn’t really sure what to expect regarding the bottle. It looked kind of cute, but also kiiiind of tacky. In person it is actually incredibly adorable to me. It feels like a very sturdy bottle, and just adds a fun flair (flare?) to my perfume collection. Longevity has definitely lived up to the votes on fragrantica, too. Dry down is more powdery than the initial notes, but that seemed to happen after 12+ hours. It’s still a lovely scent all the way through

Paco Rabanne Fame Parfum: 🗣This Is What I Really Thought/Wanted The Original Fame Edp To Be/Smell Like!! This is just "GORGEOUS" to me, and boyzo does it really last too on my skin!! This is what I thought the original Fame would smell like!! Not that there's anything wrong with the original, it's just somewhat lighter, and perfectly suited now to Spring/Summer - Warmer Weather Use, where as this one is more heavier/denser and more suited to Autumn/Winter - Cold Weather/Evening Usage etc!! I like how both these Fame fragrances smell on my skin, but it's the way that this one dries down to a really nice creamy amber aroma, which I really like, plus it really lasts a good 14+ hours from two squirts!! I also LOVE the female robot style bottles that always make me giggle and smile everytime I lift them to spray them on!! All in all I deffo feel good when I wear Fame Parfum!! Kinda up-lifted and sexy I guess!! 😍😘💕💗💗💗

This fragrance is perfect! I got a travel size of the original and toyed with the idea of getting a full size, and when I went to Macy’s to possibly buy a full size of the original, I saw the Parfum and immediately fell in love with how it dried down on the skin! I love the frankincense in the original (albeit subtle) and this one has all of the smoky qualities of the original on an even larger scale. I think this one is blended so well and serves as better signature of the two Fame releases in my collection because it’s just a perfect amount of every timbre a fragrance can be: fruity, smoky, woody, sweet, slightly floral, fresh, etc... And the bottle is literally the cutest one in my collection (the infamous Rabanne paillette/sequin dress on a gold robot with cowboy boots and sunglasses where the fragrance comes out?? I mean???!!!)

Firstly tested it during summer and it was really love for the first smell (dare to say that it was the second best smell in my life (after Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming)). Bought it later on at the beginning of December and have no regrets at all. Seems like I found my signature perfume after years of searching. It works perfectly with my skin and silage is also amazing (lasts from morning till I get back home from work). For me, as it is more heavier smell, it is more suitable for winter/spring/autumn day/night. The development of the smell is also nice, whole time I can smell nice mango which changes over time, firstly mango-bergamot-musk, secondly mango - white flowers-musk, and at the end mango with musk and sandalwood.

I got my hands on this it seems pretty early but this is a very nice entry from Paco Rabanne. The original is more mango based where this still has a fruit aspect but based itself more on spicy creaminess. I could see this on either men or women. The performance was surprisingly really nice on me! Much stronger than original fame and had a few people compliment it. Don’t listen to the hate or bad reviews, at least give it a chance. Also I’d add it does still come across with a tropical feel but would work super well in most seasons. Wouldn’t say it’s a blind buy but it’s pretty easy to love/like but give it a sniff.

This is such a beautiful scent. At the start the incense along with the mango is very intense. This is one of the perfumes that a little goes a long way! It's very strong. But in a pretty way, not overbearing, but it can get there. I will give this perfume probably 2 to 3 sprays max. As it dries down the incense becomes smoother and the musk starts to become a little more prominent along with the flowers and fruits. Definitely something you should add to your collection. I consider this a beautiful nighttime sexy fragrance for the summer. For fall/winter this is more of a daytime scent that could extend to spring.

Original Fame has mango. Parfum does not. I don’t know where Frangrantica gets their notes from. The Rabanne website and the insert with the perfume itself only lists incense, musk, and jasmine at the base. While I’m annoyed that everyone is smelling notes that aren’t listed on the actual product, I have to say that I absolutely love this fragrance. It does incense in a very sweet way that doesn’t smell dated. I’ll forget that I have this on, and then move my arm and wonder where that great smell is coming from, only to realize it’s my wrist. On ME, there’s almost no projection, but tons of sillage. Love it!!!

I bought a Rabanne minis set and didn't think I would love this because the bottle is tacky but have grown to really love this, my favorite of the bunch. The set came with the Fame Eau de Toilette as well and that one compared to this one is a scrubber. It's a lighter, less long lasting not as pungent or tropical version of this one. Wow this one is hefty and pretty long lasting sweet mango and coconut. Perfect for the upcoming summer, I feel like you can't go wrong with this one, no sharp edges, sweet but not too sweet, and so juicy and fruity. Even the bottle has grown on me ♡

I have the starter FAME and enjoy it. I opted for just the travel spray in that and I’m glad. Original fame has Much smoother mango there less woods. However it reminded me too much of Alien Goddess and how it also was lackluster. Then they did the intense of that and I adore that. Then. This!!! The Parfum. Omg this is magic. The black bottle dress is also way cooler. This is heavily patchouli in start and warmer woods. This lasts and lasts. Fills up the space you’re in as well. Just a perfect flanker. This is the one to start with and own if you ask me!

I’m not a fan of the original fame. I found it to be a bit screechy and sharp. I was shocked during this one that it’s so sweet and creamy and pleasant. I was even more surprised that the mango note lasted all day. Fame Parfum takes really the best parts of what Fame should have been and amps them up, also removing all the bad parts of the original Fame. This fragrance is rather simple and maybe even common in construction when looking at the notes and other mango jasmine or tropical jasmine fragrance released, but this does it so well.

Such a gorgeous mango 🥭 scent omg!!!! 😍😍 I loveeee 😍!!! So fruity and juicy mango 🥭 with the DNA of Fame ohhh my!! Mango 🥭 with woods. A juicy woody deep scent. The mango 🥭 note lasts for a long time and when it dries down it is not as intense. Absolutely creamy tropical 🏝️ beauty!! I love!!! I love all the flankers of the Fame line (I love Rabanne in general ❤️) but this one!! Ohh my 🤤!! My absolute faveeeee Fame 🏝️🥭🤤😍🔥 STUNNING!!!! Omg I NEED this!!!! I adore this fragrance. I liked the OG Fame but it was so weak. I waited because I thought they'd bring out a stronger version. I recieved a sample and fell in love. It's the first fragrance I have paid full price for and didn't wait for grey stock since I bought Miss Dior Cherie back in 2009. I often layer it with Dolce Garden. The creamy but sweet mango and the somewhat boozy Coconut together are Devine. I like to wear it on it's own but Garden makes it sultry and less sweet. Sexy on a humid night.

I don't wear this often, but this perfume's just perfection. A projects, so good in once of warms up, it's end game it works so good with my body chemistry, and I get so many compliments on it, and it just lasts forever and it is the most beautiful. Also, it's just so beautiful. It's an instant teleportation to an island of sexiness perfect all year round. I prefer around winter because it just gives you that moment of sun if that makes any sense totally recommend it ten out of ten

Had to get a full bottle after trying a sample. The mango opening with the woody dry down is so intoxicating. The EDP is sweeter with a noticeable vanilla note while the parfum is more woody. I prefer the parfum but both are beautiful. Both have moderate longevity and sillage, I was hoping the parfum would be more long lasting. I actually love the bottle too and how it looks different from most of my other fragrances.

"8 My boyfriend - Initial spray is nothing special, once dried it becomes a very addictive floral/tropical scent and i love it :^) - cant stop smelling, might have to buy this for my girlfriend one day - weak longevity as after 2 hours it was faint" 7.5 Me - Mango heavy, dries down into a beautiful addictive amber floral scent. Would rate higher but it is slightly missing something, maybe performance.

This perfume smells amazing. The frankincense and jasmine is very pronounced along with the fruit. So it's definitely feminine, very grown woman. This perform can be worn anytime, you can wear it all year, day or night; but I bought this to have a summer nighttime scent. It's very sexy enough for night wear. The sillage is strong, do not spray too much. Please!! And it lasts for several hours.
