Polo Sport Fresh

I love this stuff! One cool thing about this fragrance is the main accords portion at the top of this page is spot-on. After it settles on the skin it has a powerful and fresh feel (go figure). Your nose can actually pick up on all the notes whereas I feel like most frags(especially freshies) are pretty one dimensional. The mandarin and woods are subtle, the mint is super fresh, real mint not wintergreen. And a tiny bit of iris in the back round it off with a pleasant kind of soapiness. I think other than your fancy weddings or anniversaries, this is great for any occasion. Main issue is the projection, first 3 hours it's about 2 foot proj and after that it's a pretty strong half foot scent with a good trail. It maintains good strength for the small reach. Not sure how people are only getting 2 or 3 hours, maybe they go noseblind? I work a 12 hour shift at the hospital and I can still smell it by the end. Longevity-7.5/10, proj-4/10, scent-8/10, value-10/10, usability-9/10 OVERALL- 8.5/10, I said what I said

This is an excellent fragrance for what it is going for. Overall it’s a good fragrance, nothing amazing, but when you factor in the price, the fact that is smells very clean/fresh and surprisingly smooth and good quality despite being synthetic, is actually long lasting ON CLOTHES, like can smell it the next day 24 hrs later, but on skin it gets like 5 hrs but that is still decent for a sport cologne. This smells way better than legend spirit and like a higher quality boss bottled unlimited that is smooth. The two notes that are elevating this are a very nice mandarin orange (this is one of the best synthetic mandarin I have smelled, so much better than for example like Clinique happy) and the iris which adds a powdery touch and makes this a good office scent too. Overall- 9/10

If only this had better performance. Polo Sport Fresh is one of the best “fresh and clean” scents out there that I’ve tried, but it’s totally gone after 2 hours, not even a hint remains. That said, it does make for an excellent gym fragrance because it will only last the duration of a workout even with 10 sprays. I’d love an EDP version with more staying power simply because the smell is so good.

So - polo sport (original) was my love of 8th grade. What a scent. It was one of my first fragrance experiences - and boy did I wear the shit out of it. Ahh, to be back in 1997. When I heard there was a new polo sport, you bet your sweet ass I was going to be one of the first suckers to take the plunge - and I did. When I first sprayed this - about 5 sprays - I was really let down. Basically, I felt that I couldn’t smell it. However - upon my second attempt, I was able to smell it a lot better. To be clear - it is a soft scent - nothing like the original polo sport (which I find to be a lot more sharp). I’m going to do my best to detach myself from my love and nostalgia for the original polo sport - so I don’t taint this review. First - the base level DNA of the original polo sport is there - but it’s very deep within the scent. Second - as I mentioned before, it’s soft. It’s not a massive projector - nor is it long lasting Third - it smells “really nice”. Not quite great - but better than good. Mint is the main deal here. A soft mint with a little spice, citrus and aquatics. It’s not overly generic, which is nice - but it’s also not the most unique scent you’ll ever smell. If I had to compare it to something - I’d say it’s similar to azzaro chrome pure (the one in the white bottle). Without looking - I’m almost positive it shares a similar note breakdown. I’d have to completely disagree with the connection to green Irish tweed - but everyone is different. To be super clear though - to me, it’s not in the same ballpark as GIT. Overall, this is a nice release - but I’d wait for it to get discounted. I could see this as being a quick discontinuation from the brand - so you never know, this could be quite the investment in the coming years :) If you’re looking for an updated take on a classic scent, this will likely check the boxes. It’s sure to be completely inoffensive and a well liked scent. Pretty good stuff

I bought this at a chemist a few weeks ago, I had never even heard about this it wasn't on my radar at all. I just asked the ladies at the chemist to spray some samples on paper but what happened next was interesting. One of the ladies face lit up and said "omg what did you spray that smells so amazing" and the other lady agreed and loved it she said it smelled fruity. Now I took the test paper to my nose and smelled it myself, surely enough it was fresh, clean and fruity. It really did smell amazing and seeing their reaction was priceless and confirmation right then this was a great fragrance. You could see it in their face they really loved this one If you want a fresh, clean and fruity smelling perfume for men that isn't too sweet this is the one to get! I give this an 8.5 out of 10, I really do love this and wear it often mainly in warmer weather because it's cooling, refreshing and makes me smell clean. I do not see or hear anyone actually talk about this, which is disappointing because this really deserves a lot more appraisal and love. Compared to my aqua di gio profundo, I actually like this one even better than that and I choose this over the aqua di gio profundo every time. It's not really a masculine scent either, so I could even see woman wearing this and pulling it off simply because it's just fruity and fresh. Overall this was the biggest surprise to me because I came into the chemist looking for completely different perfume, they didn't have what I was looking for this one really slipped under my radar and i'm so glad I found this and bought it. It gets womens approval, it will also get you compliments

Really solid scent for what it’s going for which is just a pleasant,dumb reach,everyday casual fragrance ! This opens up quite synthetic,sharp and kind of has a laundry sheet/90s hair spray smell but then after 2 minutes it settles nicely into a mellow,laundry fresh,calming and pleasant type of smell !! It’s perfect for work,gym,errands and anywhere you don’t want to be too loud but still smell pleasant ! In terms of smelling like the OG polo sport it does have that laundry vibe but honestly that is the only similarity as the OG has a lot more boldness and strength where FRESH is much more subtle. Performance is not great as it lasts 3-5 hours with good projection for 45 minutes but then dies down to a skin scent shortly after. Overall rating -7 out of 10! A good grab and go fragrance that I’m happy to have in my collection but not a favorite by any means (Also I think this was RLs take on Lacoste Blanc as it has a lot of similarities in smell and packaging)

This is a Nice Scent, Fresh, Fruity and Clean. I bought it blind-buy after reading the positive comments with reasonable price. It opens up with fresh citrusy fruity, green and herbal notes in the background then dry down is semi sweet green and woody. It is suitable for Spring and Summer. If you like fresh fruity Cologne, You will like Polo Sport Fresh. Longevity is good. I really enjoy it when the weather is warm. Rating : 7.5 / 10

Came back to this fragrance after a while of not wearing it, I can smell leather or vetiver in the the dry down now. Never noticed this in the past before when wearing it but my nose has got better at picking out accords and there's definitely a vetiver or leather in the dry down that I can smell but it's quite subtle and hard to notice

A 2021 release from the house of Ralph Lauren for just 25€, strange... I live in Sweden and it was released a month ago. I agree with all three reviewers below me. It has both the original DNA and a little bit of Polo Blue Sport. A modern take on the OG, to my nose. Very refreshing in the summer heat ☀️

Great fragrances that smells fantastic from the first spray but does not last. If they fix that would be a top tier. I think it is that cheap because of the longevity issue as there is no reason this scent would not have been a 100$+

Has the dna of polo sport but different with the iris and sage. Not a strong or long lasting flanker. Glad to have it but won't get a lot of wearing over time. Too bad.

Like many people of a certain age, I grew up wearing the original Polo Sport. To me, it was one of the defining fresh fragrances of the late '90s, and one that still holds a very special place in my collection. So, when I decided to rebuild my old fragrance wardrobe in 2022, I couldn't find the original anywhere. Then I spotted Polo Sport Fresh, and I remember thinking, "perfect". In my mind, the word Fresh suggested a modern interpretation of the original. Perhaps a little brighter, a little cleaner, maybe with an extra splash of citrus. Instead I found a completely different fragrance wearing Polo Sport's name badge. An evil imposter. Instead of being a little brother to Polo Sport, it's more like a distant cousin who inherited the surname. That's not to say Polo Sport Fresh is a bad fragrance. It isn't. It's just simply not what I was expecting. Where the original felt crisp, sporty, aquatic, and effortlessly masculine, Polo Sport Fresh leans noticeably sweeter. On my skin, that sweetness almost became cloying, and I found myself missing the clean, energetic DNA that made the original so memorable. I think my biggest mistake was assuming the name told me everything I needed to know. In reality, Fresh doesn't mean "the original, but fresher." It means "something else entirely." Viewed on its own merits, I can understand why some people enjoy it. It has a youthful, modern sweetness that feels much more in keeping with current trends than the Polo Sport I grew up with. It's not a case of "I'm looking for Polo Sport, or a Polo Sport clone, and I didn't find it", more that I wanted it to be a modern upgrade to an absolute classic. I eventually realised I wasn't disappointed because Polo Sport Fresh was poor. I was disappointed because it wasn't even making the slightest effort to be the fragrance I'd gone looking for, which was a young guy wearing a Polo Sport hoodie shouting, "hey! Remember me? Yep, it's me but even cooler!". And it's not cool - it's just...there. Almost aggressively there. Sitting there with a face like a slapped backside.

Polo Sport Fresh doesn’t smell like a typical Ralph Lauren fragrance. Honestly, it seems to be Ralph Lauren’s take on some of the more recent Azzaro Chrome flankers (Extreme and EDP). Similar to those, Sport Fresh has an opening of a sweet vague citrus mixed with a green, powdery aquatic backbone. It’s fresh in the musky dryer sheet way more than the brisk citrus-blast route that you might expect from flanker called “Fresh”. Compared to the original Sport and Blue Sport—which is honestly a much truer Sport flanker and should have been named “Sport Blue”— Sport Fresh is a softer scent without many particular notes really popping through the blend. The mint and sea notes aren’t very obvious, unlike the original Sport’s brisk lavender/mint combo and Blue Sport’s gooey apple/mint mixture. It doesn’t last as long as those two before becoming a skin scent. For ~$30 I can see it being a great budget scent that runs in parallel with other budget-friendly aquatics.

Polo Sport Fresh is a fragrance, as its name suggests, fresh, aromatic, aquatic, and fruity. Its aroma is very pleasant and easy to like. It immediately captures a fresh fruity and herbal accord, and soon gives way to aquatic and aromatic notes, remaining unchanged throughout its short lifespan. It's a daytime fragrance for warm spring and summer days, casual outings, or personal enjoyment. I had already read that its duration was very short, effectively barely reaching 5 hours, and its sillage sillage stays near to the skin after the first 30 minutes. Although it can be found at wholesale prices for less than its official price, due to its low performance, it's difficult to recommend, but its aroma is very nice.

got two bottles for $22 Canadian each. doesnt smell like the original polo sport. more like polo blue sport. what shoppers drug mart did you get yours @jcravenw. its like its made in canada. USA chaps are still waiting for it. i got mine late/mid may and this page wasnt set up yet then

It's like a decent karaoke version of any popular song. If smelled in a crowd, it would be indistinguishable from any of the other modern fresh/sweet blue frags. If that's your thing, go for it. It certainly isn't bad. I'll stick to the OG Polo Sport because it's magical.

The blue bottle.. get the OG blue bottle in a white box!.. it is far superior

Good scent, very refreshing reminds me of a cold drink by the beach in the summer. However, Its unuseable due to the fact it lasts 30minutes, really dissapointing performance.

Has nothing to do with the now supremely underrated OG polo sport. It doesn’t last long. Doesn’t project much either. But then, it costs a fraction the price as well. Without being synthetic. This is a great budget buy. Got it for about $25. Smells like a fresher version of MB Legend and MYSLF mixed together.

This smells exactly like Lacoste Blanc without the floral element, it also smells like Montblanc Legend Spirit without the fierce element (those 2 also have scents in common), Its more sterile version of both, as others mentioned does not last. Its fine for what it is. Is this really official release by RL? Was this ever on their website or retail? Update. This is really lovely, it doesnt last very long, perfect for the gym or quick errands, no long commitment. Its white juicy citrus, very fresh (hints of mint), feels simplistic but also high quality at the same time. Inoffensive, easy on the nose, smooth output.

Just tried this today at the local Chemist Warehouse. As expected - not groundbreaking, wearable and inoffensive......and for the life of me reminiscent of “something”. I kept on sniffing the paper slip all evening.....what is it! Something oh so familiar, from long ago, and something “common”. I couldn’t work it out. Then this morning - boom, it came to me : Emporio Armani He, and a mix of Paul Smith Extreme! Some of you might not remember these beauties (circa 1999 to early 2000’s) Many imitations, similar scents. This is what this RL scent reminds me of. Fond times. would gladly wear this for its nostalgia.

I hope that RL bring back something similar to the good old Polo Sport, a slightly blue, slightly aquatic and minty fragrance from the 90s. I was therefore a bit curious about PS fresh. This is nothing like the original Cosmair Polo Sport. They just use the name for marketing purpose. If you expect that this would has some features of the old classic, you may be disappointed. Polo sport fresh is a very unoriginal, low quality designer which share similarities to many, many other modern releases. Put simply, very boring, but im not surprised. Just don’t expect any nostalgia.

Polo Sport Fresh is a very refreshing fragrance. However, some people might experience issues with its performance due to the poor atomizer. You need to spray it four times to get the same amount of juice that you would get from one spray of a fragrance with a good atomizer. I recommend trying out this scent, but be prepared to use a lot of it to get the desired effect.

Do yourself a favor. If you see this on sale for $1 pass it up. You receive this as a gift just know the person who gifted this to you probably doesn't like you. The moment this hits your skin, or clothes its immediately gone. Performance is atrocious. 1-2mins tops 3mins on clothes. If you want something similar get Mr.Burberry EDP

Bought a 125ml bottle for $19.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart a few months ago. There was no info literally anywhere online so I wondered if it maybe was fake, even though they never sell fakes. Now it exists online lol. Smells very, very similar to the regular Polo Sport. I had a difficult time distinguishing the two. Great for summer!

love this, light, airy, inoffensive everyday wear, open to any age, and best part is its more affordable than their other polo fragrances, comes with 125 ml juice as well. its a no brainer, but if you already have lacoste blanc,mont blanc legend spirit or boss bottled unlimited, then you can pass

I just received this. Blind buy cause there is no other way of getting my nose on this. Severely disappointed. Absolutely nothing to do with Polo Sport. Smells done before, retro feel and at the same time kind of like Polo 67. Have to give it a few wearings and see how it goes

Payed 28 cad for 125ml bottle - excellent value if you need a gym frag. Reminds me Versace Pour Homme, but fresher.

Good but doesn't last. Dont care because I only paid $20 cnd lol.
