Romance Rosé

Love this. I wear it to work most days. I buy it on Ebay, as I cant seem to get it in stores anymore. I have found it less expensive than the original Romance. Its fresh, floral, and dare I say it, has a hint of pepperiness to it? I don't think the scents smells of roses exactly, but its very nice all the same. I don't like scents that are too sweet or powdery, and this is fresh and light and feminine but with a hint of muskiness to it. I find myself re-applying a couple of times throughout the day as it doesn't last more than a couple of hours, but I'd rather do that than have a scent that it too overpowering. Overall, a very lovely fresh floral fragrance.

My favorite designer perfume. Youthful on the opening, but becomes more mature with subtle muskiness later on. At first I was put off by how musky it got on my skin (reminded me of older heavily fragranced aunties) but I discovered that if I spray it on my clothes and hair instead of skin, the top notes last much longer and the fruitiness endures, almost no musk. smells sweet and yummy but not sickeningly so This could work day or night, but I am especially partial to this as an evening perfume, it strikes me as sexy and classy. The balance is excellent.

Very pretty and feminine. Lives up to the "romance" name and feels like something you would wear on a first date. Cute or beautiful rather than sexy. A little fruity, a little floral, a bit effervescent. It isn't super sweet and juicy though, but more tart and crisp. I really like it and have bought a 2nd bottle. It is something you could wear daily and would probably be safe for the office if you don't overspray it. It has a bit of freshness about it that feels clean and almost laundry like.

This one is lovely, it’s a lot more rose than Romance , though the original seems to add some freshness to the rose. It’s medium sweet ( not a sugar bomb but still sweet) with good projection and longevity , a lovely flanker for sure. Something about it reminds me of the original mIss Dior Cherie from years ago. (Purchased at Shoppers Beauty Boutique in store, for those who cannot find it)

I am so in love with this. This is my favorite perfume out of my collection (I have about 100). If you like my burberry blush - RL Romance Rose is the classy older sister. The scent is really similar but Romance Rose is a bit stronger and lasts longer too. This is the best rose scent for me. I don’t get the plasticky dry down, it’s just a pretty rose on me ❤️

I am so grateful that this flanker resembles the original. Midnight and Tender were huge disappointments, as they are sweet/disgusting almost. Romance Rose is not overpowering in the Rose. It’s a sweeter, fruitier version but still as delicious as all the others (Romance, Summer, Summer Blossom, Sensual Notes). Well done and thank you for this release!

This is gorgeous! Yet, so hard to find! Once I received, I fell in love. I get hints of original romance + rose + sweet. The first few minutes, original romance stands out until just sweet and rose emerge. However, the dry down after 7-8 hours= wood of some kind. I like it; worth getting..if you're lucky enough to find/buy.

I'm not even a fan of sweet perfumes but this one is so pretty from the litchi! It definitely has some sweetness and tanginess from the fruits but is also balanced by the beautiful floral notes. Kind of smells like a sorbet to me! Love this

A beautiful rose with a hint of sweetness. Just beautiful. It is simular to Paris Hiltons Rose Rush. Ralph Lauren's Romance Rose is more clean, fresh, and less scretchy than Paris Hiltons Rose Rush to my nose.

So I finally got my nose on this and this is a strong like! I didn't spray it on me (I'm getting a sample for more thorough testing), but I was hooked from first sniff! When it comes to rose-centered scents I'm very particular and most fragrances that feature rose are either doing too much or smell weak and watered down--this one may be a holy grail rose scent for me! I'm excited to test out the sample I've ordered, but on the paper strip I got a clear, clean, classic rose scent followed along with deliciously fruity litchi (a note that tends to smell too fruity, but works nicely here). The patch worries me, but on the paper I didn't smell it at all, so fingers crossed that my skin doesn't betray me. This smells similar to the original, but modernized, cleaned-up if you will and given a nice shot of juicy fruity sweetness. EDIT: I got my sample and BAYBEEHH! This one right here--YAASSS! I see you, Ralph Lauren, I see you! Okurrrrr! LOL! Holy Grail status pending, but looks oh so promising! Who would've thought it? ;) EDIT #2: Okay, so I sprayed it on skin and...I'm a bit more ambivalent. It's still a like, but on me, something is quite sour (black currant or litchi, I'm not sure which) and there is a strong, almost aldehydic undercurrent to it that I don't like. The scent trail of it smells much better than smelling it up close on my skin with that sharp metallic undertone. I don't know what that smell is, but I've noticed it in a lot of designer fragrances, like something is being used to hold the scent together and comes across like an industrial cleaner or something.

I'm trying out a sample of this right now, initial impression is sweet light floral. I smell sweet apple (like pear apple) and rose, it's nice. I feel like it's similar to sky di gioia but sky has a watery vibe that I like as well. But it's close enough that I wouldn't buy a full bottle of the RL unless Sky was used up, and even then I think I'd hunt a bit more before making a decision. Overall, I do like it, seems like a likeable inoffensive pretty scent, good for daytime and work. Edit: dry down is different than sky, I find the RL much more of a very faint woody fruity, was also nice but I can barely smell it now about 2 hours later. I prefer Sky, it stays watery fresh sweet and has better sillage and longevity (6ish hours) Edit again: lol ..Ok sprayed some more (on clothes vs skin) and now I'm getting a strong resemblance to Because It's You... Dense sugary rose.. So this apparently really reminds me of the Armani ones I have and like :) ooOOo...that just made me think I can wear Because It's You to bed (shower at night) and then Sky in the morning and I bet they'll layer well. I know what I'm gonna be wearing tonight! Ok. Thank you for enduring my review. That is all. Lol

My husband bought this for me today at Kohls for a early Mother's Day gift!! After wearing for 10 hrs the first thing I got to say is you have to enjoy the scent of roses for they dominate this perfume half of this time, with a lightly sweet background that is just lovely. The fruit notes along with the rose mix floral boutique was brilliant for they play so good with each other along with the musk. Now I don't think young ladies will like this but it not because it has a old grandma scent, just my daughters told me to share that opinion. They like it on me though! My husband says it smells so pretty! It has very good projection that last for several hours and it last about 3 hours before turning into a skin scent. Very warm, pretty, enjoyable, and daring scent for day and night use!! Perfect for sweet Rose lovers!!

I really want to try this, but so far none of the Ralph Lauren Romances does anything for me (I have Midnight Romance and although I initially liked it, I soon came to feel 'meh' about it) and it has three notes that are usually trouble for me: patchouli (generally too dirty to my nose), black currant (comes across infamously like cat pee to my nose in too strong a dosage) and benzoin (my skin amps this up like crazy, which is one reason I can't wear the original Prada Candy since it ends up smelling like straight benzoin and nothing else). I do look forward to finding it though and trying it out because who knows, it might actually smell good on me and shock me. :)

This is the sweeter, less musky little sister of Romance. More weekend than workday. It has the Romance DNA, definitely, but with an added fruity top note that I initially thought was raspberry but now think is a combination of lychee and apple. (And maybe the cassis? Perfumes containing cassis seem to be quite fruity on my skin - I think I've been spared the dreaded "cat piss" note.) This is sweet without being cloying, I really enjoyed testing this!

Rose from Ralph Lauren smells extremely fruity to me, and almost like alcohol. I don't smell any rose at all. It is a very generic and weak fragrance in my opinion. I like it, but rarely wear it and would never buy again.

This is definitely my favorite romance flanker. I dont care for the original. Rose romance kind of reminds me of the original mixed with VW princess of hearts

this is a cute first date sort of scent, very light and floral. it reminds me of a lighter burberry her, with a whiff of fresh laundry. lovely, safe buy ♡

Romance Rose is an almost excessively fruity rose perfume. The combination of black currant, lychee, and red apple come across as an intensely sweet, syrupy raspberry. It's soo sweet, and waxy, like a candle. I can feel the original beautiful complex floral accord of Romance struggling to emerge here, but it's just so weighed down and flat, just one-dimensional, sweet, waxy, fruity, rose. I guess the name is fair, because it's not a rose-centric flanker, it's meant to be more fruity, like the wine, but it still makes me think it's going to be rosier and fresher, and now I am very disappointed. Go with the original over this flanker, please.

I got a decant of this in my fragrance subscription. I've wanted to try another Romance flanker to see if there was one for me. Sadly, this has that same plastic smells all of the Romance line has to my nose. Smell very similar to the Romance Parfum flanker but w/ a fresher, fruitier opening. Less black currant and more pear and red apple. If it just didn't have that faint plastic smell it would be alright, but it is very plastic throughout the life of the perfume. Can't recommend.

This doesn't work on me. Not particularly offensive but its a semi strong floral. I would rather wear nothing than wear this and if I was stuck in close quarters with someone wearing this I'd want to crack a window. Ok, perhaps it is slightly offensive.

I was excited for the rose! The initial spray was delightful but short lived. It turned quickly into a scent that was not fruity or floral. I am sadly disappointed, while it wasn't bad on me, it wasn't really good either. This is a strong no for me.

Cheap crappy, synthetic and weak. This is for newbies who don’t yet know that much much better perfume exists . I wouldn’t pay 10 cents for a bottle of this synthetic crap or any Ralph Lauren perfumes. I was given a free large sample when I purchased Jasmins Marzipane . I also plan to give it away. With purchase .

Saw this at Kohls today and spritz the tester. Can not sniff in store with mask on, so upon leaving and for the entire day this is just straight up Lancome La Vie est Belle on me.

Hello DarlingNikki, I know what you mean about the ralph lauren fragrances. I have 3 or 4 of them and don't wear them. I keep thinking this one may be much different than all the others because it is rosey. I am hopeful that it smells more along the lines of Chloe Roses with the jasmine to create a soapy note. I really just wanted to say I can relate to not being able to wear some notes. At least you have figured out what notes don't work for you. I have not researched to determine what notes are going all wrong for me in various perfumes. I used to wear Clinique Happy in the 90s and I recall it was beautiful on my skin. Now, not so much. I ordered a new bottle from QVC and it smells like nothing but strong metallic note of some kind. The perfume used to work but now really is horrible on my skin. Because Ralph Lauren scents (at least all that I have tried) are SO LIGHT that they remind me of a schoolgirl, i am reluctant to buy this one, even though the notes are right up my alley. I have never worn a RL perfume that has lasted more than an hour on my skin. Even the one in the red bottle that everyone was saying smelled just like cotton candy smells like generic shampoo on my skin for a short period of time and then nothing. Definitely no candy in it. Hopefully there will be more reviews soon. I am very interested as to whether this smells anything like Chloe EDP or roses, which are my two signature scents. Always looking for similar frags.

This is a pink dress and white platform heels, girly perfume and uplifting. It is a nice youthful high end creation if you cant get your hands on Tender Romance, even though theyre not similar but you know theyre both sweet. Some elements in the opening reminded me of Shakira's Pop Rock abit, and my nose didnt trick me once again cuz both contain black currant at the top then rose and patchouli. The rest of the fragrance has its own character and takes a very feminine, sweet summery road. Safe blind buy. Not sure how Rose Rush compares, hmm I recall not being too impressed by Rose Rush other than the bottle. Kohl's sells it. My local one even had a tester for it.

just got this today & another beautiful romance scent :) very light & girly......very low key rose scent for those of u who do not like rose scents...........very wearable i would say its a nice romantic springtime light rose scent - and on me i dont get fruity - i get more of the middle notes - softer rose, violet & very light jasmine - and for the drydown its more benzoin for me

Opening notes are classy not overly sweet and fruit punch like a (horrid) Burberry. And it gets even more depth and plushness after it settles. Im always looking for that ‘perfect rose’ and rarely find one so I’m excited-this is my current favorite perfume I’m reaching for this a lot
