Rosenrot Intense

Really wanted to try it ‘cause of blood notes and was a bit afraid that it’s a lie for PR. But it really smells like a huge rose with blood on its thorns! Extremely retro and deep masculine perfume, almost without sweetness. Like that bouquet of burgundy roses left in the room, slowly withering and giving off the scent of upcoming darkness. It’s a bit... sad? But grandiose, maybe even a monolithic. I could compare it with Cocaïne from Franck Boclet as it’s too a really manly perfume, but Rosenrot Intense is more silent and stealthy. It just stands in your room like a grim ghost with no action but with mute reproach and watches you. So dramatic and dark magical! It even has ashy notes. Incredible! A big must try IMO.

This is stunning. You have the metallic sourness (not the hoary old citrus freshness, I believe that's the bloody note) and the everlasting rose with some dark facet. It's bold, rich, sweet and sour. My brother prefers the original to this one and they really are similar, but the intense version is much stronger. I've only tested it in summer, and I can say It's a perfect voluptuous fragrance for hot weather. It starts with a strong, sour, but spicy rose which turns to an incense-smoked rosewater under 3-4 hours. Definitely worth the price.

I love this one too! I was already quite impressed by the first one, but I have to say that this new version is another chapter into the Rammstein fragrances. (No vanilla or candies) but a sharp rose and warm dark evolution. On skin, it is very sexy. Highly recommanded . And to reply to Emera1d, Rammstein is a Berliner music band, they were into blood and rose way before Lutens... just saying...

Rosenrot, on me, is a beautiful vintage, sharp rose, with musk and a definite metallic note. I think it suits both men and women. It is one I find myself using a lot of. I am on my second bottle of it.

A rosewater Bomb! It smells more like rose than the flower itself. How could it be possible!!! Its like une rose FM without strawberry but way too much stronger..... Pure rose juice!

My favourite perfume ever - worth the trip to Germany to collect it. If dying roses and fresh blood had a scent it would be this.

First of all, I prefer the original Rosenrot, which to me smells much more "special" and has more characters than this intense version. The opening is dominated by sweet rose, pretty similar to cosmetic rose water. Unlike the original version, there is nothing metallic coming out yet in the opening; instead, it is more powdery, which makes it more feminine at this stage. The metallic smell comes out after 5-10 minutes on my skin. Compared to the original Rosenrot, the metallic smell here is much less cold and steel-like, but slightly rusty. The note pyramid mentions blood. I am not sure if this is merely something for the publicity, because the metallic smell does not remind me of blood at all. After around half an hour on my skin, I start getting the incense, dry, smoky and slightly dusty. I really prefer the original Rosenrot at its middle stage, which is a beautiful well-balanced incense rose scent, while here the incense overpowers the rose. Rose is no longer the main character as in the opening. On my skin I get more balsamic smell, rich and warm and slightly sweet. Pleasant but lacks the "soul", which to me smells ordinary, like "some other 100 bottles I have". The drydown is clean and musky, but again, rose just appears in the background. The original Rosenrot smells much more interesting to me, while Rosenrot Intense is more mass appealing and much more wearable if you are looking for a rose-themed perfume.

Dark mature rose with some boozy-sour undertones. It has slightly sweet and earthy base. Similar to ELDO Eau de Protection, but more wearable. Sourness then evolves to a smoky metallic scent. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

I wore it today, then went to Zaras store to try some of their new releases and Rosenrot demolished everything in its proximity. All I could smell from test strips was rose,rose and some more rose. Rosenrot is really that potent, it never ever gets tired even after 10 hours of longevity. And I dont get that much of so called metallic or mineral scent that everyone mentioned here. On my skin it starts with a feminine soft rose and turns into juicy sweet smoky rose monster couple of hours later. A must have for all those that apreciate complexity and beauty of this type of scent

Don't let the blood draw you in too much (or put you off) it's really not there. This is an old fashioned, oakmossy, vintage resinous rose. A smidge animalic, maybe metallic although not getting that either. It smells mostly sweet and rosey to me, in that izia, kisses don't lie, le parfum cotoure Micallef, Explosive atienne Aigner kinda way. Not too vintage I think just the oakmoss has this effect on rose. My nose is also picking up some tartness like black currant...

As a band they don’t play by the rules. They can be incredibly offensive to those who have no spine or those who are overly sensitive...so hopefully fragrances produced under their brand will show this off. I’ve been wanting to see them live for years but will have to put up with the smell of rose and blood for the time being 😂

Deep goth metallic rose. Along the lines of Lady Vengeance, Agent Provocateur, Nirvana Rose, Calligraphy Rose. I dig it! Terrific potency. Not as edgy as it tries to be, but great for what it is. I have not smelled the first Rosenrot *yet*
