Art & Gold & Perfume (2016)

I really like this. I have HoS Passion de L'Amour and the two are very similar scents, although I find the RM to be less sweet and a little softer. It's easier to find the complexity in the RM fragrance because the sweet oud scent in the HoS perfume is more overwhelming, whereas in the RM the softness allows you to sniff closely and pick out the different notes. If I had tested the RM first, I probably wouldn't have bought the HoS and would have this instead. When my bottle of Passion de L'Amour is finished, I'll replace it with this. It's absolutely beautiful.

Art & Gold & Perfume is a deceptive fragrance. From the first whiff there's an illusion that it is just a sweet sugary bomb, but then all its beauty shows up. I get a blend of burnt sugar, powdery cherries and jasmine-rose combo from the middle notes to the base, even though some of these notes are not in the pyramid. Quite edible, quite classic and somehow very elegant. Imagine a business woman in a black skirt suit, Louboutins and red lipstick. But just when I thought that's it about it, wait. Is it a cigarette smoke I smell??? The business woman surely smokes some good cigarettes! Who would have guessed, that in the very very base a mild cigarette note appears giving a special edge to the fragrance. This is a strong, sweet, long lasting fragrance with heavy sillage on my skin. When sprayed on clothes, it's extremely long lasting! It stays there until you wash it. And yes, this fragrance is chic. P.S. There are tiny gold particles in the juice. Keep that in mind when spraying on clothes, especially dark ones. P.P.S. After testing the older version of this fragrance, I should warn those who liked it - this new fragrance is completely different and does not have much in common with the old version. I wonder why they did not change the name of the new one.

“Love me fiercely. Caress me tenderly.” This is such a breathtaking and magical perfume. Intense exquisite aromas of delicious apricot blending well with a beautifully elegant rose, then chocolate seduces its way into my heart while there is an subtle undertone of velvety-soft suede and warm vanilla. A richly layered fragrance with impeccable presentation. Fantastic addition to my collection.

I really wanted to sample this fragrance, so I e-mailed their customer service. They offered me a sample of this perfume + 5 samples of their choice for 150 euros! Thanks, but I guess I'll pass on that one. Ridiculous!
